I started seeing Amy at the suggestion of my psychiatrist in order to help with some sleeping…read moreissues through cognitive behavioral therapy. Honestly, I was extremely resistant - I didn't want to see a therapist, I didn't want to talk through issues, and I really didn't think CBT would help at all with my sleeping problems. I finally gave in, agreeing to "time box" the sessions to 10 weeks, just to give it a shot and see if it would help. After my first session with Amy, my wife and I both noticed improvements in my ability to fall asleep, my quality of sleep, and my overall mood and energy because of my sleep, within just a couple of days. Fast forward several months later, including multiple weeks of seeing Amy more than once a week. The 10 week "time box" is obviously well past, and I've begun to allow Amy and her expertise into more of my life and to help me deal with even more issues in my life, from being a better husband, father, employee, and just a better person in general. To be completely honest, I really wanted to not like seeing a therapist, and frankly, not like Amy. But now, I can't imagine my life without seeing Amy and having her help me through things, give me my homework, and help me to learn that I can work through mental hurdles with various strategies she's taught me. Amy has always been available - she's very prompt to return phone calls and even text messages when I have needed her, has been very flexible to work around my schedule, and genuinely cares about me and my family. If you're looking for a great therapist and someone who will care about you, get to know you, and take time for you, I highly recommend Amy. She's helped more than my sleep, she's changed my life and sticking with her past 10 weeks has been the best decision I've made in a long time.

Unfortunately my experience with two therapists in this practice (Laura Lucas-Silvis and Cynthia…read moreReetz) resulted in a situation fraught with willful misconduct, gross negligence, and a complete lapse of professional/ethical standards. A very personal disclosure that I had written for my partner was intentionally shared with this individual in advance of a session for me to read my disclosure. This decision to share was made without my knowledge or consent - in violation of a well defined process that the therapists involved had agreed to follow. I would strongly encourage anyone who is considering either of these therapists (or even currently seeing either of these therapists) to reconsider. Or at least be aware that any notion of privacy and/or confidentiality is likely to be completely disregarded by these two individuals.

The therapy involves writing a disclosure which took several months because the wording had to be exactly right. I dealt with 2 therapists, my partner with another one. Had to be written a certain way. The lie detector had to be done twice. Dec couldn't figure out that it was'inconclusive' rather than not truthful. The 'setup' here is my 'sexual addiction' problem is more addictive than than cocaine, heroin, or alcohol. So get used to the idea that the process will take years to treat at $185.00 per session and it is recommended that 2 or more sessions per week will move the process along more rapidly. When I questioned one of Dec's statements his response was that I needed a 3 months of intense therapy where I would sign myself in. No consideration of my job or financial responsibilities. Gotta take his word and do it since he's the expert. Suggestion: DON'T. $10,000 wasted as none of this is covered by insurance. Wonder why?? My 1 star rating is being generous.

She is incredibly attentive, gifted, and makes sure you are comfortable. Located in beautiful, southwest Chicago suburban neighborhood. Upon opening the treatment room door, I was met with a supportive atmosphere lit by a candle in a sconce, sounds of relaxing music, and the beautiful Spirits of Tara's sacred bowls. She asked if I was having any pain at the beginning of the session; I felt some in my neck and lower back. During the session, I experienced the white Crystal Bowls, and Brass Metal Bowls carrying the Spirits of the energy that Tara channels through these magical instruments. She placed the bowls around me as well as directly on my body as she played and brought forth their beautiful, transformative sounds. This interaction with my field felt so nurturing and relaxing; I realized at one point that my earlier pain was gone. The aromatherapy at the end was a delightful surprise. This session exceeded my expectations and I will definitely be returning and referring.
