I would give Dr. Megan Thomasch a zero if I could. She has terrible bed side manners. She always…read morehad, but I contributed it to character--I wasn't asking her to sing me a medley of happy songs; my main reason I stayed with her was for her thoroughness and effectiveness when it came to my health care. So I "overlooked" her cold demeanor and contributed it to her personality. Then I went for an annual--and I informed her of some minor issues I was having that may or may not do with sinus or...? She asked what was I experiencing. As I listed the symptoms I was feeling, SHE ROLLED HER EYES. FAM. I am not kidding. LITERALLY ROLLED HER EYES IN HER SOCKETS. Like, blatantly in front of me and tried to recover by being overly nice after I said, "excuse me?" I was done. You don't roll your eyes when your patient tells you symptoms they have related to health concerns that are new for them. What kind of nonsense, trash behavior is that? I walked out of her office with NO PLANS to ever return. I searched for a new PCP--one who actually cares about my well-being. I would honestly suggest you steer clear of Dr. Thomasch.

I've been seeing Dr. Megan Thomasch for 2 years and counting, after a friend recommended her to me…read more She is located close to Central Park, and has office hours Mon-Fri... What I really like about her is that 1. she remembers you, even when you only see her once or twice a year. 2. she is sensitive and listens to what you have to say. 3. she cares; back in November, I required emergency surgery for sciatica, and she made the call to a specialist herself in order to accomodate me. the front office staff is not the friendliest(what is it with medical receptionists?? They always act like they are doing you a favor; shouldn't they be more sensitive when you are in pain? But I digress...) but once you get in to see her, you will feel taken care of.

I have to write this review to let the doctor and community know. When I had flu symptoms she…read moreprescribed me prednisone which is immune suppressant. Every other doctor I know sends a throat culture to labs to find out if you have strep throat. Dr Shi dismissed my symptoms as allergy when I have no history of allergies. She never took any throat culture to the labs to make sure. She told me I should get a flu shot. At the time of the appointment I trusted her and received the flu shot along with prednisone prescription which she told me to finish. With my immune system already suffering from misdiagnosis and wrong medication, I had pneumonia and sinus infection. What I found out later was that prednisone makes bacteria resistant to antibiotics which is what exactly happened to me. I truly regret that I had trusted this doctor.

(That happened to me in February) She didn't take my complaints seriously because my overall health is great and I all my blood tests always run normal. However, I wanted prescription to see a specialist and she asked where I'm planning to go and when I mentioned doctor's name she was refusing to give me prescription because she doesn't like him personally(?????). She suggested other doctor but I chose a doctor I wanted to visit and she finally gave me prescription. I had to have a surgery the next day and if I would listen to her I would end up in the emergency room. So bottom line : I won't come back to this office, never ever in my life.
