I can keep it to myself no longer. I have a confession to make. From time to time on a lazy sunday…read moreI drive down to Cheshire's leafy suburb of Knutsford and frequent this authentic gem of an Italian. In fact I've been doing so for a while. First of all, and I know I'm always dwelling on this but I stress once again my dislike of restaurant or bar chains. They have no personality and no history. I also dislike Italian/Thai/Indian/Mexican restaurants being run by people pretending to know about or love food from those countries. Owners who lack a genuine love, care and attention for their food. I'm delighted to announce therefore that this particular establishment is indeed owned and passionately run by the Dellapina family (Who are, as you've probably guessed by the name Italian). I was lucky enough to meet one of the owners Marco Dellapina few years ago at the deli counter and remember fondly a lengthy chat about Italian football and food. I have been a fan of the place ever since, safe in the knowledge that I'm in good Italian foodie hands. Unfortunately I don't get to go as often as I used to when I worked in close proximity to Knutsford. However I can report that their claim that the Italian Pizzas are the best in the UK does carry some weight. I'd love to genuinely test this theory one day by visiting A LOT of Italian restaurants across the country. I will be posting an update to this review after my next visit once I have some photos. But for now fellow Yelpeeps, know that it exits. Go, go yonder and discover the delights of Parma Knutsford.

Some really really nice food. Went for an afternoon out…read morewith the family. No problems getting a table and we were a walk-in of 6. The only problem I had was the service. Or lack of. The place wasn't too busy but the managers think they are a little cut above the rest. After asking for a coke 3 times we all witnessed them walking back and standing by the front desk. Not delegating, just simply ignoring the request until we asked a Waitor. After working in hospitality for over 10 years part time I get rather frustrated when people have little regard to their customers. Would go again due to the food but hopefully the service will be better next time!

We were in for a quick bite so were seated straight away and given some lovely artisan bread to chomp on whilst looking at the very detailed and helpful menu. It's more like a short story actually with helpful hints as to what everything is and how it is served. We asked for tap water and the waiter gladly bought it on a lovely jar with the wine list. We chose a glass of rosé each which was beautiful although they automatically brought large and we were driving - naughty of them as we were not asked!!!!! I ordered steak with corgette frittes which I thought were healthy bit Actually they were deep fried in batter - should have had the chips. Steak was lovely. Mum has veal with roast potatoes looked and tasted ok. The Waiter was incredibly loud, finished my sentences regularly and interrupted a lot. Three stars. Mainly for the wine and decor.

New in town and looking for a delicious meal, we looked on Yelp and found this Italian restaurant…read morewith average reviews so we decided to try it. What a magnificent find it was! This has become our new favorite Italian restaurant. We started with a bottle of Chianti and calamari, followed by the main course of pasta carbonara and lasagna. Muaaa! The food far exceeded our expectations. Very delicious, very friendly and prompt service. They look after you very well making sure you have above average satisfaction. I don't understand why it isn't a 5 star. More customers should rave about it here. We will definitely be returning soon.

To be fair he was a nice chap so that's ok. He made the big mistake in my eyes of forgetting my grappa; not forgiven but everything else he did was good. Bruschetta whilst we waited for our starters were good and our starters were; fritto mixto (over cooked) and spaghettini carbonara (perfect!!!!) got the show on the road. Our mains were pasta and garlicky herbs and a pizza were excellent. No complaints at all! Drinks were a bottle of oprosseco and then a bottle of verdicchio. Space between tables is tight and this is the reason I didn't rate it as 4 stars. More space would earn another star. Finished with good coffee (but no grappa! Worth a visit!!
