Don't have much time for this review, but I highly advise to sit here at evening and enjoy quite dinner with randomly passing people, because it's right on the street. Atmosphere is amazing. Food was great, I feel, that whatever else I'd select, it would amaze me and pleasure my tongue like water pleasures thirst in a desert. They lit candles on the street stairs and it was so romantic. They play nice and gentle romantic music. Super for dates. I'd definately come back here, if I'm ever in this town again. English menu available.

The night I visited it was quite chilly so I opted to sit inside which was a much wiser decision as it got quite chilly that night. I went for a mushroom risotto style dish which was nice but not the traditional risotto I was used to but was nice enough, I did ask for some Parmesan cheese which confused the waiter a bit but I ended up getting some and it made the dish a bit more like risotto that I was used to. I followed up with a second course which was a legume soup which was quite a large serving maybe a little bit too much, and I would strongly recommend adding some of the salt they offer with it if you want to bring out the flavour in the dish. For dessert I ended up going for a chocolate cake which was nice enough. Overall a lovely night and very lovely spot but I didn't enjoy the food as much as I would have hoped, but I would recommend you check this place out if you are visiting Agrigento.

If you're visiting the Valley of the Temples, go here for dinner for two reasons: First, the view…read moreof the Temples lit up at night is spectacular from this restaurant, especially as we were seated upstairs by the window! We even got there early and drove and parked at the Temples (the gates are closed) to take photos of them lit up, as this restaurant is a 1 minute drive away. Secondly, the food is fabulous! In fact, this restaurant was one of our favorites while touring Sicily! The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, but it wasn't pretentious and we didn't feel like we needed to dress up. All of the dishes are also gorgeous and huge and super delicious. We actually could not finish everything we finished. The wine list is extensive, too and the prices were excellent for the quality of the food. We would definitely go back!

It has a great view of the Valley of the temples and although pricey the portions are rather large, but I think they lose some points when it comes to the actual food. It's not so much that the quality wasn't up to par, it's just the flavor combination of the dishes fell short. We started off with the marinated beef which was pretty good, probably the better of the three we got. The two pastas we had, one with colatura di amici and the other with octopus ragout, both were just meh. The pasta with colatura had a creamy sauce, I expected it to be more like aglio e olio, and the fish eggs added crunch but I think dried up the sauce too much. The pasta with the octopus ragout was just bland.

The restaurant is located in a historic and many local were patronizing it. A very good sign. The service was attentive, quick, and responded to my queries. I had Octopus with potatoes, a spaghetti dish, with Tiramisu for dessert. The house wine went well with the food. This place was recommended by my Taxi driver and it was a good choice. A good dining experience here.

Looking for somewhere decent to eat in Agrigento? This restaurant serves some tasty food. If you're…read moreever in the area checking out all the temples, Pititto Ristorante is a fine place to grab an authentic home cooked meal. The food wasn't the best (at least based on the seafood dishes I ordered), but it was satisfying after a long day of driving and looking for somewhere to munch. I feel like the the flavors could've been more complex and mesh together better--just seemed like some pasta with some sauce topped with seafood. Hopefully it's a nice day on your visit because the patio looked like a cool place to enjoy some Italian eats. I'd say the only other major drawback about this joint is it doesn't have an awesome view of the ocean that is just around the corner! Why not dine somewhere with a view? Not sure if I'll ever be back, but the experience was not bad.

We ate a late lunch here in early October, well after summer high season…read more The scene ----------- It's a relaxed restaurant on the beach, with floor-to-ceiling windows providing great views to the water, and with nice attention to detail for the price range and location. The floor is wide wooden planks, and while the chairs and tables are not fancy, and the napkins are paper, our table had a proper linen tablecloth. Other tables included couples having meals and wine, six Italian women having only coffee, and another family of six eating. There is also a counter in the restaurant selling snacks, drinks, and popsicles, that was quiet but must do a brisk trade when the beach is busy. The service was efficient, and English-speaking, yet rewarded our attempts to speak Italian with smiles and encouragement. Our food arrived quickly, The food ----------- The whole fish of the day was very fresh and perfectly grilled (Sicilian-style, with a little char at tail and fins), served with wedges of fresh lime. The seafood salad was also quite good--pleasing but not surprising for a Sicilian seaside eatery. Spaghetti carbonara and pomodoro were both good (plenty of bacon in the carbonara), and the portions were generous but not excessive. The Sicilian salad was a tasty umami bomb of capers, sardines, olives, and sun-dried tomatoes over potatoes. Serving suggestion: cut the sun-dried tomatoes into smaller bits to better mix their salty sweetness into the mix. The pistachio ice cream was excellent, with ground pistachio sprinkled over the plate, and the other desserts we tried were also good. Beverages ----------- Espresso and cappuccino were below average for Sicily, and might disappoint coffee nerds, but got the job done. We did not opt for wine, but there were several decent-looking bottles for well under 20 euro, and I identified wine by the glass for 3. All-in-all ----------- I would eat here again in a heartbeat if I were walking to the Turkish steps.
