I decided to get a tattoo not so long back, I spent a large number of days researching what I…read morewanted an where it was going to be. I found a local tattoo studio in the Telford and Shropshire area Ministry of Ink Tattoo Studio Dawley. I contacted the studio to discuss my tattoo and was asked to visit them for a consultation. So I popped down and by the end of the consultation we had agreed on colour, size and the place that i was going to have my tattoo. Matthew and Deane were most helpful and inventive, with their experience I must say the tattoo design was excellent. As they did late Thursday nights and I had work commitments most that week we agreed to book me in and do it then, I was told to visit the chemist on the same street as the studio for some numbing cream 'which worked a treat, thanks to the guys for advising I used this'. As I wanted to feel what It was like I only used some of the cream and being honest having a tattoo is not all that bad, you get used to the sensation after a minute or so. Within the hour booking I was done, and WOW my tattoo looked great, better than imagined. Using Matt and Deane's advice to use Bepanthen cream it healed a treat. I would recommend Ministry of Ink Tattoo Studio Telford to anyone, my first tattoo is an example of how good they are and with artists like these I intend to return if I ever want more! Thanks both of you.

My tattoo was drawn up by a tattooist while I waited and with a few tweaks made to my liking. I recommend anyone looking for a qood price on a tattooist in the Telford / Shopshire are to pop in here and see what Ministry can offer you. Huge thanks to the staff for making me feel welcome and talking me through my tattoo colours and designs.

this is from a recent incident this is not me but i am saving other people from getting bad quality…read moretattoos and extremely risky piercings, sorry but this place needs to be shut down for 1- not having had id'd an under 18 not only piercing her nipples but botching her tongue in which she then had to attend a&e, im just doing the world a favor here. So 4 days ago I got my tongue pierced in mad tatters in WELLINGBOROUGH. When having it pierced it bled and it was very wonky however I was told after the swelling had gone down it would be fine . An hour after having it done it still was bleeding and I returned to the shop and told them I believed it had gone through a vein. The piercers said it was fine and I should leave it to heal and see how it goes from there, if I wanted to take it out I should go back to the shop. From then I was using mouthwash every time I ate and I was only eating soft foods ! In this time it was in constant pain and I was sure something was wrong. On the fourth day of having my piercing I was ready to go out and suddenly felt blood running down my tongue. I was in the toilet for 20 minutes spitting pure blood with huge clots and was scared for my life due to the amount of blood I had lost. The blood was pouring and was splattering up the walls. The ambulance arrived and they said i would have to take it out however I couldn't due to the agony I was in . I text the mad tatters Facebook page and they was certain I had caught it however I didn't think this was the case. The ambulance left and I left the piercing until it started to swell and the balls on the bar were deep into my tongue. I was scared to sleep incase I swallowed the bar. As the shop and ambulance instructed me to , I look the bar out . As soon as I slid the bar out the tongue splurged with even more blood than before . I used a blanket for the blood to fall into. We rushed straight over to A n E where the nurses and doctors were extremely shocked with how much blood I had lost and was immediately seen . I was then saw by another doctor who checked me over where I was then told it had gone through a vein which is why the bleeding was so excessive ! I went into the shop today and asked to speak to the manger however I was not allowed to speak to her because I am only 17 however the shop were happy to give me nipple piercings when I am only 17 .. they have also admitted to going against the law and not asking me for ID for these. On the consent form where It also stated I am under 18 .I am traumatised by this and have now had to miss time of work due to this. I have been in contact with the shop and they haven't yet done anything for me and all they have to say is that I must have knocked it even after being told by doctors it had gone through a vein!!! I have had four piercings in this shop and they have been ok but this one was done terribly . After this experience I really do not recommend you go here for piercings! Mad Tatters Tattoo and Piercing (ADDED) * I have had hundreds of messages of concern and my Facebook is currently going crazy ! You can also text my Instagram 'abimayesx' if you want to ask any questions ect ' ! Thankyou to everyone who has shared and to all who have commented with the kindest comments ! All is hugely appreciated

(New owners were quite happy dissing the old ones even though our tattoos got butchered) Pains me even to give this place one star wish there was a option for 0.DONT GO HERE!!!!!!

It's a vast complex containing many small businesses, and one of them is a small, neatly presented body piercers by the name of Dolly Rockers. Apart from a selection of body jewellery, and the recent addition of micro dermal implants, Dolly Rockers is all about the piercings. By all accounts, they are extremely good at this - out of the many people I know who have been pierced there, I can't think of one that has a complaint about the service they received - the piercings always heal well, and are executed with minimum amount of pain. Prices are about average for this kind of thing, and the manner of the staff is great. In conclusion, if someone in Birmingham asked me where to go for a good piercing, I'd send them here.

Pricing for piercings is average, and they do offers now and again (although I know there have been a few occasions when offers have apparently ended but are still being advertised which is a bit naughty). In that case it usually comes down to discretion of the piercers. I've had several piercings done here, and for the majority of those I have experienced efficient service from skilled and professional piercers. I would recommend this place for clean, safe piercings performed well with the least amount of discomfort.

When doing a little Yelp recon, I found this shop and another nearby. This one had photos and no reviews. The other had one review and no photos yet. I decided to go with this one as the photos spoke to me more and gave me more information than that one review at the other place (that admitted they were a friend! No wait, drinking buddy, actually! Woops.) We walked into an alley way with some shops, and into an open door that revealed a plain hallway. We spotted another door with a Rising Phoenix sign, and opened it to find a staircase leading up. We heard music, and I saw a bit of tattoo-shop personality that felt familiar. The studio is not huge - maybe one of the smallest shops I've been to, but definitely not cramped. It's one big open room in the main part, and one end has two tattoo stations. It's not really a separate room for the tattoo chairs, but it looks like it's separated a little with some small bit of wall on either side, as if they opened up part of it with construction to make a huge doorway. The decoration is totally on point with what I love about tattoo shops. It's got a LOT of personality, as I mentioned, and they have a ton of antique, vintage items around. Skulls, photos, pretty frames, pics of tattoos, tattoo books, tattoo magazines, rad chairs, an oriental rug on the floor... They even have a shop dog. A little dachshund whose name is Rigby, if I remember correctly.. and he's so adorable and friendly. We walked up and talked to Nick behind the desk. She was SO friendly. I told her what we were looking for, and she called over Holly (I think and hope that I've got her name right!) who was visiting from another shop further North. Holly quoted me 70 pounds for approximately an hour of work. This exchanged roughly to $120 and I thought that was fair, being that Atlanta tattoo shops (where I'm from, in the US!) tend to be approximately $100-$150 per hour. I agreed, and asked if they had availability the next day. They sure did, and open bright and early at 10am! Wow, that's early for a tattoo, but I said SURE! I don't think many, if any, tattoo shops in Atlanta open before noon, but I might be wrong. They collected our 10 pound (approx $15) deposit, which was also surprisingly inexpensive to me, for a deposit - either trusting that we'd be back, or figuring if these tourists ended up chickening out, it must not have been a huge deal. :) She was able to put my email address and USA phone number in their appointment reminder program, because I got an email and a text confirmation - which was rad. The text even came from a USA number. Next morning, I got an OJ and some baked fruit snacks to put a little sugar in me (usually recommended so you don't get nauseous or pass out.) Nick offered me coffee or tea, and I accepted coffee since I hadn't had any yet that day. She brought it out to me in a beautiful fancy tea cup with saucer. I love how the British do things. :) Holly (jeez, I really hope I'm not remember her name wrong!) brought us back to a separate room. I was glad I didn't have to sit in the first chairs I saw, just because I need to be able to focus my thoughts through the pain, and people walking in and out might have distracted me. Actually, now that I think about it, maybe it would have been a good distraction, haha. Not sure. She was all set up for me, because I was sipping my fancy coffee for a bit in the fancy retro chairs in the main waiting area. The room she was using is a bit small, but it was able to fit two additional people who were there with me! We listened to music, and I zoned out staring at a rose and their logo :) It took about an hour like she said, and that included her going over a few spots to make sure they were even and amazing-looking, and in the end, I'm very happy with her work and the customer service at Rising Phoenix. I did a little research and apparently it's not as common in England to tip tattoo artists (and other service individuals) but before we left, we tipped anyway to show our appreciation. I'd definitely recommend Rising Phoenix for any service - tattoo, piercing - or questions, even. Cheers!
