After stops in Barcelona, Cordoba, & Granada, our first meal in Sevilla was a late lunch/early dinner after dropping our rental car. This place has a varied menu but the English description of dishes do not match English terms, so be aware. "House salad" was not a mixed lettuce salad but something like a potato salad with extra mayo Xs on top (see photo). Tuna steak Cordoba style was a nice steak of tuna smothered in an orange-colored olive-oil base sauce - very good actually but sauce heavy. Last thing we ordered was bbq steak of chicken. The massive chicken steak served was quite different than any chicken we've ever had. Gamey, chewy, all dark meat boneless fillet, grilled with a side of oily "bbq" sauce. Not like any bbq chicken we've ever had before - good but not great or as expected. I understand regional differences in dishes but was surprised that only my tuna steak was somewhat close to its description. Most people dining at this crowded tapas restaurant at 6:30pm were enjoying espressos & churros. read more
