Rafael shot our son's first birthday, and we are thrilled with his service and the quality of his pictures!!! He was extremely professional; he showed up on time, in fact he even showed up early to scope out the event location. What really impressed us was that after he finished setting up his equipment, he even asked us if we needed any help setting up for the party! He could have just sat around and waited for guest to show up, but he went above and beyond by pitching in and helping us set up tables and decorations, this was unexpected, and he was just being a nice person! I had a great experience with Pasadena Photography! I first contacted Rafael about a week before my planned surprise proposal to my girlfriend (now fiancée!) at the Huntington Library. He was very responsive with both phone & email contact, and it was very easy to communicate with him about all the planning that he would be involved in (such as timing of the surprise, which angles would look best against the backdrop, which locations he would be at, etc.). On the day of the proposal, I appreciated that he showed up early to go over the game plan to make sure everything would go smoothly, and it all paid off because the resulting photos were perfect and captured all of the shots that I was hoping for. Afterwards, he suggested that we also go around the park and take more photographs, which also turned out exceptional! Within a few days, he had uploaded all the photos and I was able to choose which ones that I liked, and within a week after that I had the digital copies of my photos. So when I needed a photographer, I chose Rafael based on reading the other Yelp ratings here. We didn't really know what attributes makes one photographer better than another. Rafael lived up to his Yelp reviews. He was prompt, reliable in communications, easy to work with, and we're very happy with the resulting photograph files. He clearly knows how to deal with lighting, framing a subject, and all the techniques for taking great pictures that a non-photographer like me knows nothing about.
