It saddens me to write this review, because I thought Sarah was great prior to my wedding day, but…read moreunfortunately I feel like I need to share my negative experience. I purchased beer/wine/signature cocktail bartending services on my wedding day for 250 guests. This was to include mixers, napkins, cups, ice, and iced water to be served on/near the bar. Our total headcount was less than 250 adult guests. A little over 1 hour into serving guests, the bartenders had already run out of cups. Not only that, but by that time, they ran out of simple syrup for one of our signature drinks. Tipsy Caravan had suggested that we buy 5 handles of whiskey for the signature drink and by the time they were out of simple syrup, they had only used 1 handle. Instead of buying more cups while we were eating dinner, the bartenders asked to borrow some cups from the caterers, which was not enough to supply the rest of the evening. Bartenders were informing guests they would only be able to get wine or cocktails if they reused their cups, which is embarrassing and unacceptable. A guest left the to go buy water bottles because there were no cups for people to drink water from at the bar. Beyond this, I heard from guests that bartenders were not knowledgable about which wine was which and seemed to "have no clue what they were doing." The Coles Garden venue coordinator told me that the bartenders "seemed to know nothing about the event" and that they had issues with the bartenders they had to address during the evening. I understand that mistakes happen, however, it does not seem that Tipsy Caravan did much of anything to correct their mistakes. There was never a line at the bar after cocktail hour because there were no cups, so they had plenty of time to correct this mistake. It is really upsetting to think you are hiring an experienced team and getting an underprepared set of bartenders who guests said had no idea what they were doing. Not only that, but after cocktail hour, the bartenders were basically just dispensing cans/bottles, as they were unable to serve mixed drinks or wine due to lack of cups, even though we paid for beer/wine/signature cocktail services for 4.5 hours. We spent so much money on alcohol that is now going unused. My guests still had fun, but told me I should have paid more for an experienced bartending team. I reached out to Tipsy Caravan to make things right, but they only refunded me $25 for cups and $25 for simple syrup. I am totally embarrassed and hiring Tipsy Caravan will be my worst memory of my wedding day.

The only thing I wish was that the lighting was a little bit brighter or adjustable by the table areas so that it was easier to see when needed. Their suggested vendors are also wonderful! I loved Park House the restaurant, and had many fun times there, but I do think that this spot being an Events Center is its rightful place as a treasure in our city. Architecturally, this place is so beautiful, and also such a great set up for an event location. The bar area is naturally separate from the rest of the restaurant, so a cocktail hour is easily contained within the bar and cocktail area. When it was time to open up the assigned seating, which fanned out from a fun dance floor and DJ area in the middle of the room, we found our seats easily and could see the head table and all the action on the dance floor. Offering a panoramic view of the Myriad Gardens and the city beyond, you get both the view of the park and all it's natural beauty, plus a view of the Colcord, the Devon tower and the rest of the city beyond. I can't think of any other place in the city where you can find such a perfect mix of natural and manmade beauty nearly everywhere you like. If you're a little bit country and she's a little bit rock and roll, this is the wedding and reception venue of your dreams. Add to that features like a great set up for guest drop off and valet parking, you'd be hard-pressed to find a better location for private events in OKC.

Thank you for your response Brian. By taking a message during business hours on 1/27 instead of confirming my reservation and by Leslie not returning the call until 1/28 you conveniently added your $200 rush fee for the "crisis." I guess it benefits your business to create crises..

You know how key it is that you get along well with everyone, that you don't feel annoying when you ask your fifty-fifth question or sending your thirty-fourth email. And then, you know the wash of relief you feel when they ask you questions only they would think to ask.... "Hey there, I know you mentioned carafes for water, but they weren't on your list, do you still need those..." These are the types of people for whom it would seem their sole purpose in life is to make hostesses around town just look really good. And that they do. But not just for the pros (or semi-pros, as I consider myself)... Anyone can look like a planning whiz with the help of Brian, Robert, Christina, and Kelsey at 110 Events and Rentals. There are other awesome peeps there, but these are the ones I know. Planning a wedding? A class reunion? An anniversary party for your folks? Helping your favorite non-profit plan a fundraiser? You can benefit not only from their experience and expertise, but also from their big ol' brain, full of cool ideas. That big bank of ideas is backed up by a huge, amazing warehouse full of treasures! Western party? Check. But you'd expect that in Oklahoma. Just keep walking. Disco party, astronaut party? Aliens, wild animals? Dorothy, Alice in Wonderland. Time travel, Victorian, tons of rustic chic. 80s. Loads of midcentury. Lots of cool props that actually work. In short, I left there with enough Yelper party ideas to keep me in this gig until I'm 70. Seriously though: amazing props and features. Beautiful linens and all manner of lovely tabletop and glassware. Centerpieces and lighting of your dreams. But none of that would matter, if it weren't for the people who work there. They are so lovely and fun to get to work with! I highly recommend!
