This morning, I went to Party City to purchase items for a birthday party. Unfortunately, I forgot…read moresomething so I had to return to the store. While in the store, an associate (Allison) approached us and asked if we needed assistance. I told her that we were just browsing and noticed that she was holding an electronic device upward so that the camera was facing us. I continued to watch her as she walked to the other side of me and put the device down and returned to the main screen showing the time. As much as it bothered me, I tried to let it go. After leaving the store and thinking about the situation further, I decided to reach out to the manager. I called the store and was transferred to Scott who is the owner. I explained Scott what happened and told him that it made me feel uncomfortable. His response was that they were only there to sell product and that they would not "benefit" from doing anything of that nature. Then he added that the associate was his wife, so I guess that was supposed to make it okay. He continued to state that it was not a cell phone, but that it was an iPod which looks like an iPhone 13 that they use to scan items. However, I am certain that iPods, like iPhones, are capable of recording. I told Scott that in the future, it would be a good practice to lower the camera when approaching customers because it feels uncomfortable. This is the moment that I felt as if he was attempting to gaslight me.... He stated, "If cameras make you feel uncomfortable, you'd be uncomfortable anywhere you go." No apology. No remorse. I truly hope there is some type of sensitivity training provided. However, being that he is the owner, I doubt he would see the need. Maybe one day, he will go to a store and someone will approach him while seemingly recording him on some type of electronic device so he can understand how it feels.

The store was…read morecluttered...Isles were impassable...got to the registers and a man (obvious employee) was standing at the register. By the time I walked around he put the register closed sign up and walked away. Went to the next available, she walked away...stood in line for over 10 min for the next cashier to tell me she was closed. By this time there were at least 20 people in 3 or 4 lines. The manager told me the lady needed to go home. This is not how Hobby Lobby usually runs their stores. I sure home this one gets some new management or I'll be finding somewhere else to Shop!

Although not as large and extensive as the "Jo-Ann Etc." stores I've been to in other cities I've lived in, this one has pretty much everything I can expect to find at a big box fabric & craft store. In fabrics, they have the usual quilting, seasonal, apparel, and home decor selections. The selection can be limited at times, which has resulted me in trying other stores or taking my business online, but some of my projects are very specific in what I prefer to use. At the cutting table, employees are efficient AND friendly - probably the best I've interacted with at ANY Jo-Ann location! Patterns are well-stocked. I wish the notions department were larger, or at least less cramped. There's always merchandise on sale, and what isn't on sale, you can use coupons for, which is why I LOVE shopping here. Yesterday I met the most caring and attentive towing team I've ever encountered! Scott and his…read moreapprentice came to my rescue right off of I-55 @ Pearl St exit. I had broken down, I had my dog with me, and my husband was out of town on business. My dealership contacted 49 Towing and I'm so thankful they did! Scott is a wonderful Christian man who is genuine and professional! My pup and I were able to ride with them to the dealership. We spoke about our faith and love for animals. Scott and his wife put their beloved pit bull down on Wednesday. I put my beloved dachshund down a month ago! We shared great stories about our pups! His apprentice in training did a fantastic job securing my vehicle and driving safely to the dealership. Scott also made a point to come and speak to me prior to leaving the dealership-he is a kind and caring man! I would highly recommend using his service!
