I placed a phone order for an order of balloons lastweek. I didn't feel that the order was that hard to understand and want over it with the lady on the phone a few times. I paid immediately but she wouldn't give me a receipt even though the card was run, until I picked them up. I asked for an emailed receipt and she said I had to wait. I thought that was odd. When I arrived to pick them up they were not in any way shape or form the way I ordered them. The lady there told me that she couldn't understand how they were supposed to be. Once again, didn't think it was that hard . If they had questions, why wasn't I called ahead of time? The 36 balloons were $68.00 which I thought was very overpriced (especially when I had to put them together myself). I would have given less stars if the lady didn't help me take them to my car and apologize a few times for not getting it right. read more

I don't know why this place has such a bad reputation. I've never been here before but I needed some balloons for my 9-year-old's birthday. I could have gone to Dollar Tree for the cheap, boring and never updated Mylar balloons, but my daughter is a huge Pokémon fanatic and I wanted Pikachu balloons. Upon entering I could see that this was a very typical party supply store. And that's not a bad thing. A fairly large selection of decor and balloons. There are also equipment rentals and little oddities here and there. I immediately found what I wanted after I was greeted by the store employees and directed to what I wanted. I purchased 3 Mylar balloons, 3 latex and a weight for $25, which I thought was very reasonably priced. I also purchased the "high float" helium for the latex balloons and 9 hours later, they're still in great shape. Based upon prior negative reviews of this place, I asked the employees if my balloons started leaking on the way home, could I come back for replacement? And they said "absolutely." All in all, I'm glad I didn't listen to these reviews on Yelp and gave this place a try. My daughter loved the balloons and I'm glad to have a different option besides Dollar Tree or WalMart. 4/5 stars just because I rarely give 5 stars. read more

I would assume they would appreciate their customers a bit more, knowing that we can purchase directly on Amazon for a much better price. Yet, the customer service here is non existent. I went in today to try to get some balloons and items for an impromptu "Senior Day" for our local high school's Women's Soccer team. Not only was I able to purchase the balloons I needed but, I was also able to purchase everything I needed to make this a memorable day for two Senior students that are missing out on their final soccer season. It's a huge store with a WIDE variety of themed party supplies (as you'd expect from a party supplies place) and the employees are nice enough. But of course, the one thing I went there for (Cars-themed birthday stuff) was just about the only bare spots on the shelves (they had a few things, but not a basic thing like plates). And of course, the prices seem high, but it could save you a trip to Walmart so it might be worth it. Beware that you may or may not be able to get helium balloons (and you definitely CANNOT preorder/prepay for them), as there is apparently a worldwide shortage of helium. I haven't had any really bad or great experiences here, hence the mid-range rating of three stars. read more

We just moved into town and I was needing some last minute supplies for my child's costume at school. Reading the comments here made me a little hesitant to go in here but rest assured people, there aren't any mean mugging rude employees in here. At least from my experience. The two ladies working that day were quite friendly and attentive. This store is clean and has every decoration and costumes for any occasion you can think of. Yes I said any! Because they have Halloween to Mardi Gras, luaus and birthdays all up in here. They also have a whole variety of balloons to choose from too. They also rent out popcorn machines, cotton candy machines, helium tanks and I believe there was a snow cone machine too. Instead of taking a hard look at their merchandising issue that leaves balloons out in the open for anyone to touch or grab, they would rather nickel and dime their customers. He got into an argument with me on Facebook being smug, I deleted my comment because I was sick of the notifications and arguing with a petty business owner. I informed him he could keep his refund because he clearly needed it more than I do. Scott, instead of arguing on social media, be a real leader and get some customer services classes for yourself and your employees. It's pathetic that "owners" of "businesses" have to resort to defending their horrible business practices. ***************************** I will never go back here nor will I ever recommend this place. My son had Dr. Seuss week and rather than Amazon what he needed I decided to support a local business. That was my first mistake. The customer was horrible, the ladies were rude, but that wasn't even the worst part. I spent $80 on stuff, which I could have purchased from Amazon for half the price, even better quality, my son touched a blow up ballon. One of the miserable ladies behind the counter quickly says "Oh, he's going to have to buy that." A .50 cent ballon after I just spent $80. Like my son was dirty or something. To make things worse, there is a $2.00 minimum and I couldn't use my card to purchase the ballon. I will never go here and I will tell people to not go there either. Not really sure how this place is still open. Very generic inventory, kind of like a just throwing a bunch of random items all together in one store. Way over priced and much easier to find what you need on Amazon and for much cheaper. 2 stars for it being clean and organized with the mass amount of randomness, but other than that nothing of significance to note. read more

I got a $12 Mylar balloon for my Son's first birthday and while driving home I noticed it was already starting to wrinkle, I thought maybe it was just the way the ears and hands on Mickey Mouse were supposed to be on the balloon. And within 20 minutes of being home it became completely deflated. I didn't feel any air leaks and I brought it straight inside to an air conditioned house. I called immediately asking for them to refill it or give me a new balloon. The woman on the phone said I could come back but there's no promising they will even offer to fill it up or give me a new balloon let alone a refund because it's on me for it deflating so quickly. There was absolutely NOTHING it could have snagged on in my car or house to cause it to leak. They seemed to not tie it tight enough because I inspected it thoroughly and there was ZERO holes. $30 all together for the center piece of my Son's birthday balloons to be completely deflated and hanging on the floor. You can see in the left corner the other Mylar balloon that was in the SAME car as the Mickey Mouse Mylar didn't have anything wrong with it. I will never get balloons here again and told everyone one of our friends that attended what their response was. I would have been better off buying my own helium and making the arrangement myself, which I will be doing from now on. read more

They have a great selection of merchandise for all party themes, ages, etc. They also have stationary, invitations, thank you cards, mardi gras stuff, St. Patrick's Day stuff, you name it - if there's an occasion, they have stuff for it. The reason for me giving them 4 stars and not 5 is because most items are over-priced. They had stuff that I could have gotten elsewhere for cheaper (Target, Walmart, Dollar Tree), but they also had stuff that I couldn't get anywhere else in Jacksonville unless I ordered online. read more

I'm not usually the type to write a bad review .. but this experience was absolutely disgusting. I stopped in the store today with my cousin for the first time EVER. I needed balloons for an Easter themed wall and was met by 6 workers standing in the front. No "Welcome in" or even a simple hello. I waved at one workers who made eye contact with me and they just stared at me. 20 minutes and $40 worth of balloons later.. I go to checkout. There was a long line of other customers waiting to checkout as well. 1 more worker walked up to the front and they all just hung out and socialized while I sat in line waiting. When I reached to about second in line I heard a few of the workers opening talking about me and my cousin. Asking where one of the workers was (the one I waved at). They said she was in the back "hiding" because "she was being stalked". To which the worker asked if it was by us. And she confirmed it was. With all these other workers and customers around she is making a false accusation and then had the audacity to say "I think I said that too loud". Yes ma'am. You absolutely did. And I'm spending my money on balloons I could get ANYWHERE and being treated like this. It was embarrassing, uncalled for, and completely unprofessional. 7 workers in total standing around gossiping about paying customers IN FRONT OF THEM. I wish I could give zero stars. read more

Bought some balloons to celebrate a special moment. Cashier tied balloons up and as I was walking to car. One came loose and floated away. When I went back in and explained she told me "sorry, I guess I didn't tie it tight enough..." And then was told no after asking for a refund. What kind of service is that? I recently purchased a banner and balloons for a baby shower. I saw a sign at the store indicating if you purchase $50.00 or more, you'll get 12 balloons free with your order. I ordered a banner which came out to $43.58 and balloons for $27.54, which comes out far over $50.00. I asked the young lady there to confirm that I'd be getting the additional 12 balloons with my order, in which she replied yes. GREAT! The day of the pick up, I asked about the 12 balloons with my order and the young lady states that the $50.00 had to be on one order, vice two separate receipts. I explained to her that that banner counter charged the $43.58 and the balloon counter charged $27.54 totals $71.12, which far exceeds $50.00. Additionally, I reminded her that we had spoken to confirm that I'd be getting the 12 additional balloons, in which she said yes. Needless to say, I was not happy. I will say that my banner was well done and the young lady who fabricated it was patient and professional. Additionally, the balloons that I did order was nice. read more
