He made my day of coordinator cry because of how rude and disrespectful he was. During the day when he was talking with the professionals he met them with a raised voiced and pointed fingers. When confronted about his actions the day after, he took no accountability and completely misplaced the blame and threw it back on everyone else. The only reason why the dancing and reception were a hit was because I gave him the entire playlist, it was not his own work. So kudos to me. If you want a great playlist reach out to me, not him.

About a week before, Rick confirmed there would be two DJs and two photo booth attendants, and I specifically confirmed that he would be one of the DJs. He said yes. On the day of my wedding, I was running a few minutes behind for our reception entrances, so I created a group chat with my coordinators, photographer, and Rick to let everyone know. Instead of responding, Rick removed himself from the chat completely, which immediately worried me. When it came time for entrances, I was shocked to learn that my DJ wasn't Rick -- it was someone named Leif, whom I met literally two minutes before walking in. No prior notice, and no explanation until after our wedding day. Rick did let us know after our wedding, that he did have a medical emergency. Which we are glad to hear he is doing better. To his credit, Leaf did a great job under the circumstances and kept the night running smoothly.

Originally we were going to go with a live band but for a fraction of the price they offered ceremonies in their package and I don't regret it. DJ Mike Ellis, was wonderful to work with, as prior to our event he made every effort to make sure he had every detail to make sure our reception went flawlessly. While it didn't go as flawless as we'd hope (not because of the DJ), DJ Mike was able to roll with the punches and make our guests feel as though everything was going exactly to plan. He knew all the music we wanted, and really knew how to keep the audience enjoying themselves with each song. We loved that he completely got the atmosphere we wanted and nailed it. He provided us with a questionnaire to help plan the night, and then we did a final call to talk through everything before the day of the wedding. On the day of the wedding, he showed up in a badass velvet suit and executed everything perfectly according to the plan without any input required from us. - His level of organization and maturity. He's clearly done a lot of weddings, and he had a calming presence through the day that helped us stay relaxed.
