This is a family run business and we got such a friendly and personable service, they really took the time to understand what we were looking for and advised accordingly, taking into consideration how much we wanted to spend. We had a bouncy castle and inflatable slide and they also provided face painting (you can also have party favours from them too but we didn't avail of this!) Definitely a great service and options to suit any event and budget!!!

Well, you'll be pleased to know that I wasn't desperately seeking a top gun pilot suit I was actually looking for Event party accessories and these guys came up trumps. After searching high and low for plain gift boxes for my mother dearest suggested that I contact Party Treasures, so that's just what we did. Initially they didn't have any in stock but they asked me the date of my event and promised that they would order them in for me. They even took our contact details and called when they arrived in store. You couldn't ask for better customer service. The shop itself is jam packed with party, fancy dress costumes and props. Although as I found out if they don't have it in stock just ask and they will try their best to source it for you. So next time you want to make an impression at a fancy dress party make sure you pop in here first, forget the internet, go to the experts, they won't steer you wrong.

You know the kind of thing: balloons, banners, candles, kids toys, cards and fancy dress items. With my hen do coming up I thought I'd have a quick look in at their supply of pink learner plates and willy straws. I wasn't disappointed nor was I amazed. They have a small section filled with the usual stuff. I didn't buy anything as I am waiting on feedback about a theme for the event! God help me! The shop itself feels like it hasn't been open long, everything looks sparse and the atmosphere is slightly depressing - I think they need to decorate the inside with sample balloons and turn on the radio. Once I was in I couldn't wait to get out again. They are in a good catchment area as there are no other specific party goods shops in the area so they should do well if this is a new shop - it lacks a happy atmosphere though.

You can hire equipment from hedge clippers and lawn rakers to kangos and cement mixers. It seems the only thing they don't do is a crane, but I'm sure if you asked them... It's a family owned business and in recent years has diversified to offer other services. They now do a line of party items, Halloween costumes, and even floral arrangements for weddings. Still, their hire services for equipment is pretty useful, especially if you're sitting about the house with nothing to do and think, "I reckon that wall would look better with a hole in it..."

They did the decorating of the main function room for my wedding, and they quite literally transformed the place. I remember talking to Rachel, one of the co-directors of the company about some ideas I originally had for a decoration theme, and she got so excited I thought she was going to burst - this was my first clue that not only do they do thier job very well, they absolutely love it. The creativity and imagination that goes into thier work is just fantastic. No job is too big, and no detail is too small. As wedding expenses go, don't expect them to be deadly cheap - nor are they heart-stoppingly expensive either - but you get what you pay for with these guys, good quality work. I really do feel my wedding would have been a little less special without thier input. They are flexible too, tailoring the package to suit the needs of the space, the couple, and the budget. And you would hardly know they are even there, they slip in and out and suddenly the job is done. They not only do weddings, but any sort of event that you might have in mind. Really creative and really genuine. I can't recommend them highly enough.

There also seems to be a focus on education with science kits and great literature on offer. I really liked everything they stocked. I was having a nosey for Christmas gifts and I got loads of great ideas. If this is the first port of call for people visiting Belfast it's certainly a good snippet of the City. The staff are great too - I overheard the last working giving out directions to tourists! It warmed my heart! Lovely! You might not have been in here before but I urge you to pay it a visit!

It's a great gift shop full of locally made arts and crafts as well as QUB merchandise. You can arrange a guided tour of the beautiful QUB buildings via the Welcome Centre. Staff are friendly and helpful and you can pick up lots of leaflets and information about what's happening in Belfast. Lovely shop and information point.

Whatever kind of party you're having, you'll find your supplies here. Invitations, banners, balloons, candles, badges etc etc. They're probably a little more expensive than you would pay in the giants like Tesco, but sometimes it's a nicer experience to go to somewhere local that's smaller and more of a specialist. Especially if they were in business before the big supermarkets blotted out the sun. I have also used these guys to supply large numbers of helium balloons for a corporate launch event and the owner came in especially on a Sunday morning to check that everything was OK for the event the next morning. So, good customer service and the produce was great too - big bunches of balloons in corporate colours tied together to look like bunches of flowers. If they hadn't been in corporate colours, I would have taken them home.
