I purchase from here when I am visiting Charleston -- no more. I was shocked as to how I saw a person treated in the store recently and my own personal interaction. One visit, was a woman behind the counter inflating balloons and she was incredibly rude to a customer who was asking about some balloon products -- inconsiderate, interrupting her.... It was basic customer service which is lacking at this store. My own experience: I called with some questions about supplies I needed for a party and the man who answered the phone was super abrupt with me and said he was too busy to answer my questions and then hung up. Who does that? Goodbye Party Plan It and hello Target. read more

This store has everything. I love that I can run in and grab themed party supplies same day without having to go to a big box store with a limited selection... this place has a ton of great themed supplies. Yes, you're going to pay more than if you order online or go to a big box but it's a local business and everyone who works there is super friendly read more

Amazing customer service, always greeted with a friendly smile, patient when I took too long to order, 10/10 would recommend!!

This store is a smaller version of, the now gone, Party City. I wish I knew this store existed before I ordered party plates and napkins from Amazon. I came here for balloons. The girls who work there were very helpful and they had a large selection. This will def be my go to for party supplies now read more

I have shopped at this location probably a dozen times in the last several years but can honestly say the customer service has really plummeted the last few times I've visited. The sales associates act like they're doing a favor by ringing up or returning an item. I purchased a Halloween item last week and specifically asked if it could be returned if unopened. The answer was "yes ". I returned the unopened product today and the clerk questioned why it was taped and said they "normally" don't accept Halloween returns. She reluctantly did the return. I was planning to purchase several cards while I was there but decided to take my business elsewhere. read more

It's a cute little local store and good for last minute needs. I think their items are a little pricier than other places. One girl behind the register was not the best. Slow moving and would start helping other people while I waited for her to blow up my balloons. Quite thankful another woman stepped in to help, it was getting frustrating. A man walking around was also very helpful and eager to assist the customers. The only issue I'd have is the prices of things. Easy parking all around read more

Staff are very helpful and patient! I took a bit to decide on my balloon order and ladies at the front helped me every step of the way.

As a small business owner I know how important reviews are to your business which is what led me to leaving a review. I have lived here in Mt. Pleasant my entire life and have used this store for as long as I can remember. I have never had a negative experience. The staff have always been friendly and helpful. Are the prices higher than other places like Harris Teeter and the Dollar Store? Sure they are but that's because those big box stores can charge less. Supporting local businesses may cost a little more but it does so much for your community!! read more

Renter chairs from this location...they were filthy with food, dirt, paint and maybe blood. I spoke to the manager Matthew, and he said I hurt his feelings with the way I spoke to him. Omg! read more

I've used this store a handful of times over the years. usually when I'm in a pinch as they're the only game in town for party supplies. They have a decent selection considering the size of the place, but pay attention to the prices. Some are actually pretty good, but others can be crazy high. I understand the cost factor of having a brick and mortar store so I you can't even be mad at them for it. Just know that if you have the time in advance, you can get many of these items for much cheaper online... then again, if you don't know that already, you're not the type to price check online anyway. Pro Tip: Most places around town WILL NOT fill balloons that you didn't purchase there. This is the only place I know of in Mt P that will! read more

Highly recommend this store for any gathering or celebration event you may have! Plus, you're shopping local. Almost didn't stop in because of negative posts. So happy I did come into this store. Greeted by staff, impressed by the extensive variety available and so glad it's locally owned! I succeeded in checking off items for events and gatherings I have for the rest of the year! read more

Ive already made this review on Google but I just had to do it on Yelp too!!! Dianna made my whole experience wonderful, she took time to show me where things I needed were in the store, and helped gave me ideas on what to use instead since it was an outside event. She was bubbly, kind, and even helped me with getting my balloon order out to my car. She had a smile the whole time and was so incredibly sweet. She definitely went above and beyond, I 1000% recommend people come here and definitely go to Dianna for any needs they have she is so kind and sweet!!! I should have mad this review sooner but life's been busy with party planning. What's she's is doing is right and definitely deserves recognition for her hard work and positive and bubbly personality! She made the whole experience absolutely amazing and I am sure she is like that with everyone! read more

I swung by here Friday after work with my 4 year old daughter. Our plan was to pick up 1 balloon for my other daughters 3rd birthday. As soon as I approached the counter the women said "if you want a balloon I can't do it tonight." She didn't greet us, just simply told us no. I'm sorry, but if you work at a party store wouldn't you expect business as such? She was rude, it was the end of the day and too busy to blow up 1 balloon. My four year old watched and all I could tell the women was I was sorry if you had a bad day, but your not being kind (as kindness is what we try to teach toddlers). She finally agreed to one balloon, but was still rude. I normally would have left, but with my daughter in tow she wanted to surprise her sister. Needless to say there are plenty of places to get party supplies and we won't be back. read more

Rude woman at the front. Could barely be bothered to put down her phone and point at the balloons I asked for. Too bad- nice store but I won't come back! read more

Being a local event planner in the Charleston area, I have used Party Plan-It for last minute party supplies and balloons plenty of times. They are always so friendly and quick to help me out when I have a last minute inquiry for a setup! This is a great place to pick up party supplies for birthdays, bachelorettes, graduations, etc. Highly recommend this store! read more

Party Plan-It - Balloons Galore! - Party Supplies Near Me - Mount Pleasant, South Carolina

Party Plan-It Houston Northcutt Blvd Hmmmmm- black woman (me) cannot get "low on helium" balloons... white man /ppl can...BIG SIDE EYE... just go across the street to Harris Teeter for less or Dollar Tree for your balloons. Just sayin. My money is green too. read more

Bought balloons and party supplies for our one-year-old's birthday. The balloons were just gorgeous and ready on time. I bought the extra coating and they were in beautiful form for an entire week. These balloons were so bright and fun I will start ordering them for other events at our house! I also found birthday hats, banners, etc for a boys first birthday. Very happy and look forward to our next party visit! read more

Good place for balloons cards and party decorations, nice staff:-) not much more to say!

This was my first time here and it will be my last. I wanted a few balloons to surprise my baby for his birthday so I thought I would try it out even after reading the negative reviews. Wrong. The retail staff was not friendly, welcoming or helpful at all. Any question I had the woman behind the desk seemed irritated and any answer I had to her questions she replied in the snarkiest of ways. It is extremely expensive for NO reason at this shop. I honestly should've just driven to Party City and had a better experience. Would not recommend. read more

Bought a number of balloon arrangements for NYE. Staff in the store were friendly and helpful but OVER HALF of the balloons burst when I was home due to being overfilled. They were pretty busy being NYE but extremely unhelpful on the phone when I called to have the arrangement replaced. Waste of money unfortunately. read more

This isn't a large party store, but they do have a good selection of holiday, birthday, and costume items. I never leave empty handed & the staff has been helpful & nice. Today when they found out it was my boyfriend's birthday they gave me some free themed candy to put on his pillow. Cute touch! read more

They have saved my behind us more times than I can count because whether it's my fault or the fault of the smelly mole on the nose of the Old Wicked Witch's spell Shes just cast,...I'm always running late when it comes to party planning and holiday decor. NOT ANYMORE! I just dial up PARTY PLAN -IT, tell them what I need, & pick it up that afternoon- all wrapped in a bow! read more

After two unpleasant experiences with one staff member, I'm sad to say I'll be looking for a different party store in the future. They do have some very cute party supplies but it's not worth dealing with the impolite, rude staff. read more

Called to inquire about balloons and the woman I spoke with was condescending and impatient. She didn't seem interested in answering my questions in a cordial manner so I decided to take my business elsewhere. read more

Wow, extremely poor customer service (by the owner, no less). He wouldn't let us return an unused item (*new with tags still on it*) because it wasn't "sealed".. IT WASN'T SEALED WHEN THEY SOLD IT!! For what it's worth, the reason we were returning it was because we found the *same item* at the Dollar Tree just down the road for 80% less (note to self: go there first from now on!). Buyer beware.. they'll take your money but do all they can to weasel out of their nebulous return policy if you request a refund on anything. read more

This is the second time I've had a terrible experience in this store. I've used them for a few different parties. Once I was in the store with my mother and the staff scolded her (like a misbehaving child) because they didn't want her to touch the balloon display. She was showing my daughter (6 months at the time) the colors. They literally yelled at her because they were afraid she was going to allow my baby to touch the balloons. My daughter was hardly old enough to notice balloons, much less harm them. I went in again today and spent 80 dollars on supplies. The lady who was helping me was very nice and helpful but the male owner who was also whined the counter was INCREDIBLY rude. I actually could not believe how he was speaking to me. If it wasn't a huge hassle to run all over town, I would have returned everything. Needless to say, I will not be returning. I don't expect them to be in business much longer. read more
