Good equipment overall. The tent and the guys who erected it were great. Found them very disorganized though and surprisingly hard to coordinate with. Andrea was not that pleasant to deal with and doesn't take feedback - it's your misunderstanding and fault and not theirs, etc. even if they do something that's different than what it says on their contract. I contacted Party Line Rentals in October 2022. I was connected to Andrea Malcolm. At that time, I requested a tent to cover our entire patio for a party we were having on Saturday, December 17th. On October 28th, I received a confirmation rental agreement with no details but with the comment: tent going on patio on to grass. We never received that. We received a tent that was over 6 feet shorter than the patio size. Had we been informed at any time prior to our event that they could not give us what we requested, we NEVER would have agreed to the proposal. NEVER. We were not given an alternative. We were given one option and one option alone. Andrea Malcolm confirmed this when we spoke on Friday, December 16th. As the customer, I was very clear as to what I wanted from the initial call until the day before the party. I asked Andrea Malcom to come measure for the specific size needed to meet my requirement. I did not tell them the specific measurements but rather told them my expectations. Andrea Malcolm and Party Line Rentals (1) provided documentation from THEIR employees stating that the tent could be tied to our posts and into the grass which would have in fact allowed the tent to cover the patio, (2) did not disclose that our request for a tent to cover my patio could not be fulfilled as soon as they were made aware of lack of inventory and in gross negligence sent me a contract with a smaller tent without giving us an opportunity to decline a smaller size, (3) stated in their written communication to us that the actual size of the tent requested was not available for the weekend we needed it and as such, we were given a smaller tent which did NOT meet our specifications. In a world of multiple options, I would have absolutely sought out another vendor. The terms make no mention of misrepresentation by Party Line. Andrea Malcolm and Party Line Rentals misrepresented what they could provide to me over the course of the two months prior to our event. read more

Had an excellent experience with Party Line Rentals. We were having a graduation party for my daughter on July 11 and due to spotty weather forecast decided to go with a tent for the event just in case. They set the text up on Thursday, brought the tables and chairs and left. Friday was a pretty bad weather day quite a few thunderstorms with heavy downpours and wind. On Saturday morning the guys from Party Line to check on the tent and made sure that it was still intact. I was surprised and impressed. Very happy I picked them to do business with. When they came to get their stuff back, they forgot to pick up the linens. I called to let them know, and they angrily stated that it's not worth their time to come all this way (20 minute drive) for "just linens", but that I must drive it to them. Which is ridiculous - we paid for delivery and pickup. If it isn't worth their time to do the job we paid them for, to come get their stuff, why do they think it's worth my time? We had to cancel our order because of COVID. The folks at Party Line could not have been more understanding and accommodating. They refunded our entire deposit when, clearly, they did not need to. I look forward to repaying their commitment to the customer at a later date. I have never met a company that demanded top dollar with such poor service/professionalism. We had all our linens come in at the wrong color. We were told that they had no more linens to offer but that they needed a picture of the linens delivered in the box and a picture of outside the box - in hopes to get reimbursed. At the end of the day we finally found a company that could help us with our last minute linen nightmare. Also, at that time, Party Line Rentals said that they found some linens that we could pick up. Not only did the customer rep say that they have absolutely no more linens - they went all day without contacting us to let us know that they were trying to rectify the situation. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! We rented our tent, tables and chairs from them for our wedding and they caused so much unnecessary stress. Due to the nature of our venue, everything we did was ala carte and we were responsible for coordinating with our vendors for the delivery and setup of the rentals. Party Line came highly recommended by my caterer and by the venue. Both of those vendors have since apologized for this. Communication leading up to the wedding was spotty and I went weeks without getting a response from Mike. It got to the point where I thought they were going to just blow the wedding off completely. It wasn't until my caterer intervened that I did get a response. The day before our wedding was a nightmare because of them. The tent was to be delivered and set up at 9am the day before the wedding. When the tent still hadn't arrived by 1pm we called to ask where they were. Of course, we couldn't get Mike on the phone and were told the tent was delayed & would be there "soon". 3pm - still no tent. After a few more calls they showed up at 5pm!! 8 HOURS LATE! We were supposed to have left the venue by 3:30 so we could prepare for our rehearsal dinner. We had to actually move it back a few hours which was not easy to coordinate last minute. When the tent did arrive, the men who were there to set it up were rude. The man who got out of the truck to greet me was talking to me with food in his mouth and just said they got delayed at their last appointment and proceeded to blame their previous client. Unacceptable! I emailed Mike on the spot & let him know this was not acceptable and I felt he took advantage of us. He magically had the time to talk to me then & called me when I was making the mad dash to get ready for my rehearsal dinner. Suddenly, they had all these extra people they were going to send to get the tent put up and assurances were made all would be ready (ps - they weren't ready). Too little, too late. Where was this extra team when you made us wait 8 hours? I thought blaming the other client was unfair. We paid them and had a contract just like anyone else. Why should we be punished? The day of the wedding, the tables were not in the correct spot even though we left explicit directions with measurements. One of the techs from the day before was there and had a horrible attitude (Thanks for all the dirty looks on the morning of my wedding!) Since they showed up so late the day before, we had to wait and set things up the day of. Tables needed to be rearranged, dance floor set up...etc. It was just too much to deal with the day of the wedding. The on-site technician for the day of the wedding (who we paid extra to have there) didn't seem to show up until the wedding was in full swing. I hadn't seen him beforehand and he magically appeared well into the cocktail hour and interrupted us while we were greeting guests. Uh, thanks? Where were you before the wedding when we needed flaps opened and heaters moved? The only good thing I have to say about Party Line is that the tent itself was pristine, the lighting kit was great & the tables and chairs were in good condition. Would not recommend! I can't even think of words to describe how traumatic was my process with this business. I will try to resume the most I can. I was looking for tents, tables and chairs for my wedding reception that was going to be outdoor. I had a bad feeling about them since the first day I talked to them, I wn to the store and asked for $ for some packages. I chose a package that would be $750 for table, chairs and tents. Only after I had chosen the packaged and was ready to pay they said I could not get the package price because the reception was 28 minutes away and my price would be $1,200 instead of the package price. With no other choice because the time frame was short I decided to pay. after 1 week that I had first paid, I added 2 tents, 6 food pans and 1 dance floor to the order and the total PAID came up for OVER $2,300. When I noticed 1 week before the reception that weather changed inexpertly and it would be raining all day, I went to party line and kindly asked them to change (not refund) the tents to more tables and chairs since I would not use it anymore because we would need to do the reception INDOOR now, and I had already spent so much money with them. let me describe this moment: The first thing that happened when I walked into the store, Missy and Andrea started talking about me and laughing with ironic faces, and I when I told them because of the weather I would have to change the tents for tables and chairs, they said: THEY HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THE WEATHER, THEY COULD NOT CHANGE THE ORDER, THEY WOULD NOT REPLACE ANY ITEM, AND IF I COULD NOT RECEIVE THE TENTS ANYMORE I WOULD LOSE THE ORDER AND THE MONEY PAID ( All that and more being said in a very mean and ironic manner), I begged and explained I had no other choice. I ended up loosing the money I paid for the tents $1000 and when I was ready to pay for the remaining balance of $416, her computer had a problem and my debit card was being decline, I SHOWED MY BANK ACCT APP TO HER to show that I had enough money and her C/C machine must be having an error, she started YELLING at me (in front of everyone) that she would need another card and would no try again that one because she "Didn't trust my card" and if I did not have another one she would cancel the whole order and no deliver. YEP simply as that! she could decided to not delivery and steel my $. I started crying like a baby because I was already stressed because of my wedding, and could not believe how mean they were being with me with no reason. My husband called them and paid. When they finally delivered the tables and chairs, dance floor and food pans, I noticed 2 things: 1 the tables were all VERY DIRTY AND OLD, the chair? omg I literally could not use them! I had to rent chair from somewhere else and lost the money I spent for those chairs. they did not pickup the stuff on Monday as they told and I had to deal with the church manager and explain why they did not pick up the stuff that day (they did not gave us a reason for that.) Conclusion: They made my bride moment, a very traumatic process, they ashamed me, they treated me like garbage for no reason and I NEVER acted disrespectful with them! they stole over $1000 from me, and did not deliver good materials. I could now go to the court and fight to get my money back but honestly, I am so done with them. Horrible Company. Stay Away! The management is rude, dishonest and criminal. We ordered chairs, tables and serving platters for a backyard party. They continually sent the contract to an old email address, even after I repeatedly corrected them. A few days before the party, I called to see if it was possible to order a tent. I never received a contract, so the day before the party I called to say that I wouldn't need it after all. The owner got so angry with me that he didn't deliver the rest of our items and we had to scramble to find them somewhere else just hours before the party. When I called to ask where everything was, he told me that he didn't need customers like me (who cancel tent orders, even though I never confirmed the order) and he said, "Happy Birthday" and hung up. And then, he charged me a cancellation fee of $319 for the tables, chairs, etc, claiming that I canceled the order. read more

I was very disappointed in Party Line rental service. I had called a week before the event to discuss items for a party (Tables, Chairs, etc) and asked for delivery. I received a quote over the phone and assumed that it was locked in. The The sales staff informed me that someone would call me back the next day to confirm delivery time and take payment. That never happened. When I followed up a few days later they informed me that they were not able to deliver as bookings had filled up over theist few days. Now I'm left scrambling to find a solution at the last minute. I strongly recommend you follow up with them multiple times and get your order in writing. read more

SO HELPFUL! I've used this company many times and they are great about helping me think through what I'll need and what I won't ....even when it comes to table clothes and how to make sure those table cloths with fit the tables. I use their equipment for all my kids parties and I always get compliments on how great everything looks. I've seen stuff from other companies and it always looks so used and worn....with Party Line Rentals, it's used but still in good quality. We used Party Line for our backyard wedding. The ordering process was very easy and Missy did a great job. She told me delivery would be either Thursday or Friday before our Saturday wedding. Fabulous! 5 stars. A few days before she confirmed it would be Friday between 12-4. No problem. Just before 4, no delivery, so we start calling. They then confirmed the delivery would be there by 5. Okay, not great but we can wait. Not surprisingly, we had an event friends were throwing for us, friends and family the night before our big day. 5 comes and goes, so now we're getting a little nervous. My husband then sends me off to our party without him. I have no idea how many calls he made over the next few hours, but he waited there hour after hour missing our event until they finally arrived at 8 to set things up. He missed the night before our wedding. They never once called us with an update the entire day and night. 2 stars. The wedding was fabulous and the rental items were fine. That next week, I sent Missy a note telling her what happened and she blamed the weather for the late delivery and apologized. Should have stopped there. Then she goes on to say she wishes my husband would have told them he was missing the event and that they would have told him to go and they had a picture of where to stake the tent. So now it's our fault he missed it?! For the record, the guys did ask him where to put the tent they did not know! And we locked some of the stuff in the garage to keep it safe. And are we going to leave it to chance they get it right? It's our wedding!!! 1 star I respond back that it's not okay to blame us and I'd like Kenny Puff's email address because I had seen him respond to Yelp complaints. Never ever got a response back from her. Almost a month later. Nothing. When you are dealing with important events, it's probably that much more important to not screw up. And to communicate. The absolute worst ever. Booked Party Line Tent Rentals 3 months prior to my wedding for staging at the reception. Three days before the wedding I call them to reconfirm timing to meet at the reception location for set up, and the secretary says, "Oh.. yeah, I have a note to call you, we have to double your fee, or cancel." What!? It turns out they finally ran calculations on how far it would be (an hour from Elmsford in CT) and the distance was too much. The quoted price from three months prior did not matter, nor did the verbal contract. Here I am three days before my wedding pleading with them to set the stage up and show some business ethics, morals, or any sort of human emotion. They did not. They basically laughed at me, were NOT sympathetic in any way, and said the distance was too far... and oh well. They probably got a big order elsewhere in an emergency and decided to drop the little guy. Thank god the wedding venue is amazing, and actually had a tent company at the location sizing the room for a future wedding that had no problem putting a stage in at less than quoted by Party Line... guess what? I had set up the order for tent, table and chairs months in advance for my outdoor wedding. I was told that I could make changes to the order up to the final days. Two weeks before the wedding I called to upgrade the chairs from the resin chairs to the ballroom chairs. A few days later I called again to remove one of the high chairs from the order. The highchair got removed from the order but from the old order. This small change then removed the changes made previously from resin to ballroom chairs. So when the delivery came with the tent table and chairs days before the event, they delivered the resin chairs on the order. They arrived on time to set up all the tent table and chairs, so they had time then to take the old resin chairs away and deliver the new ballroom chairs. One day before the wedding and everything had been completely set up the way it was needed for the event. The delivery man handled everything with care and completed everything properly. There was no stress the day of the event and everything looked beautiful. Despite a small mishap when the truck was leaving where they hit a lamp post, there was no damage. They came back to fix the lamp post that very same evening. Overall we were very happy with the tent and how everything worked out. It wasn't until two days after the event that I receive service charges on my credit card that I had never authorized. The service charges total more than $250. When I tried calling the office to talk to the manager, Mike, I got the runaround. He was consistently out of the office and unavailable. Ultimately I had to dispute the charges with my credit card company. I found working with this company and the rental items to be very good. However, their communication within their job is poor and ultimately they need to take responsibility for this as opposed to charging the client without consent. read more

I have used party line tent rentals for 6 years, this is my last year. I sympathize with the prior complaint about extra charges. Although a different story here, same endpoint (additional charges). The story: I was not able to be at home when tent set up was going to happen (some moms do work), I spoke to two employees making sure the tent was placed in correct place (one day before appointment to deliver tent, and another time the day of delivery...just to be sure). I show up to the house and the tent was placed right in the middle of the yard -no consideration was taken to provide instructions to installer despite my calls (I later found out...as I am fluent in Spanish- that no instructions were given to the technicians who installed the tent-hence they placed in the middle of the yard). When I contacted the staff member to inform them of the wrong tent placement, they told me that because the tent needed to be moved they would have to charge 250+ 20 fee...I was really disappointed and very..very... upset. I needed the tent moved for my party so I agree to pay knowing this was the last time I would use them. I was home when tent was placed. It took staff 20 min to relocate to my ORIGINAL instructed location. Lesson: be home for delivery, don't trust business like these, who rather charge extra then admit they made a mistake in placement and take the lose as a win (good customer satisfaction gets you more business). They should not charge consumer for their mistakes. Great news: there are many local places that rent equipment. On to try new ventures. read more

My daughters wedding is on Saturday at Lyndhurst Castle and to date, Mike has been nothing but wonderful to work with! I will update this review next week but I certainly expect nothing less than perfection from Mike & his team. And now it's Please read below... We went to see the tent set up on the Thursday before the wedding. What was supposed to be carpet was black astro turf that I wouldn't put in a football stadium. Because we were the 1st party of the year our contract read newly cleaned tent and brand new carpet. The astro turf was pieced together with black & grey masking tape leaving large gaps and frayed edges. We called Mike and at this point he informed us that the carpet that he ordered was back ordered. Upon hearing my dissatisfaction he told me that he would take care of it. When we arrived for the wedding on Saturday we found that Mike had used last years carpet that looked like it was ready for the garbage. It was also pieced together with duct tape leaving wide gaps and frayed edges. He didn't even bother to put something in the walkway from the cacktail area to the tent. The carpet wasn't laid over mason board so it was lumpy and hard to walk on as their was nothing hard underneath. One of my guests tripped; thankfully not hurt. It was a disgrace and he should have been ashamed to associate his name with this. Now let's discuss the heat... The heat wasn't put on before the party started so that my guests were sitting bundled in their coats during the wedding ceremony. During the actual party, their was no regulation of heat so that again, guests had their coats on. Not acceptable! I could continue but I think that this is enough for anyone to realize that they should stay away from this business at any cost! And a small BTW...Mike has yet to contact me even though he is well aware of the problems that we had and promised to reach out to me on Monday after the wedding! read more

Tent itself was nice. Men to set it up were great. But dealing with the corporate office was not worth it. Upon coming to my home and measuring, the gentlemen (in front of both my husband and myself) said we could decide to keep the sides of the tent on/off that day. That it was a 'day of' decision. That we should tack it onto our invoice now and can decide later. When they were setting the tent up, I asked to have the charges for the sides removed and I was told the bill was already finalized, I must have misunderstood, and the charge would remain, despite the recollection of the discussion. 1.5 weeks prior to the event, I asked for 1 additional table and 10 chairs to accompany that table. The extra chairs were delivered but no extra table. Again, I was told by corporate that the error was mine and I was sent a final invoice. I was never sent a final invoice. And I referred back to the email exchange whereby they were wrong on the table/chair request. Look, bottom line, dealing with them made for more problems and headaches than should have been. They make mistakes and have poor customer service when attempting to rectify. I never post negative on Yelp, but this was too much. Highly rec you get a tent elsewhere. read more

We rented the tables, chairs, and chair pads for our wedding from party line and we were extremely happy! The farm tables were absolutely beautiful! The guests at the wedding were asking were they could get them! They delivery was made on time and done very quickly. Everyone was very professional! I would highly recommend Party Line! read more

We signed a tent contract with Party Line Tent Rentals because our caterer highly recommended them. Mike, the tent guy, is a weird guy who hardly ever spoke a word to me, my then-fiance or mother the whole time we worked together. He would only communicate with through our cater and not return phone calls or emails. There were typos all over the contracts (including the event date). We asked him to price out several options and instead received a contract that we were expected to sign that had only the most expensive items on it. If that wasn't enough to turn you off - the tents were delivered a day late (with no phone call) and then on the day of the wedding we realized that they had not put the sides up even though it was pouring and that the lights did not work. We had to call our cater to get a hold of him and she managed to get him to come over and fix things just as the guests were arriving. On the plus side: the tents did not fall down and they removed them without too much difficultly. read more
