Since the new ownership this place has gone completely downhill. They do not care about customer service at all. I dropped off a deer last season and the entire process through delivery has been a nightmare. Every single step has been a fight with up charges. Staff is rude and disrespectful. When you question an service or charge they get frustrated and mad and its basically take it or leave it attitude. 1. They charge you credit card service fees that are above industry standard. And even small local shops don't charge credit card fees. Accepting credit cards is part of business and its a shame. 2. Upon final billing they added $50 to cut the head off of my deer. If I knew that was going to be a charge I would have done it when I dropped it off. 3. Once the meat was ready they started calling me threatening storage charges right away. I live in Houston, Texas and they know that and the constant threats were unprofessional. 4. I tried to have it shipped to Houston and they would never give me a cost. And they were charging for every little thing. 5. After paying over $400 for processing this was one of the most expensive deer I have ever processed and I would never do business with them again. On top of all that... I now have the meat back and everything I got is just mediocre and not very good. MOUNT GRAVES TAXIDERMY... they recommended this company for my son first mount which is a simple European skull mount and Graves is just as terrible to deal with as Uvalde Meat Market.

The experience started before we even entered the restaurant. There was plenty of parking, and the hangar next door was open with several smaller aircraft inside, including what appeared to be a P-40 toward the back. The kids immediately got excited about seeing the planes. There's also a great playground outside along with soccer goals, which gave them plenty to do while we waited. The restaurant itself was very clean and nicely decorated with an aviation theme. I particularly liked the check-in area, which incorporates repurposed aircraft metal and glass. They did a good job making the aviation theme feel like part of the restaurant rather than just hanging a few airplane pictures on the walls. The menu is mostly familiar American fare. The kids all ordered burgers with various sides, I had the Voodoo Salad with chicken, and my wife put together a vegetarian meal from several vegetable sides. The burgers were good, as were the fries. I stole the opportunity to order onion rings as one of the kids' sides for myself, and those were excellent. The mac and cheese had very good flavor, although the texture was unusual--the cheese bound everything together into more of a uniform mass rather than having easily distinguishable noodles. Service was okay. Our waitress was polite but seemed relatively inexperienced and struggled a little with our order. When the food arrived, my wife and some of the kids were still at the playground. I asked the waitress to come back once they returned so they could order anything additional they needed, but that request seemed to create some confusion and never really got sorted out. Air traffic was fairly slow during our visit, and we only caught one takeoff. Obviously that's luck of the draw and not something the restaurant controls, but I can imagine this being an especially fun place to eat on a busier flying day. Overall, the food was good rather than exceptional, but Hangar 6 is much more than just the food. Between the aircraft, playground, aviation-themed restaurant, and chance to watch planes coming and going, it's a really cool lunch stop with kids. We'd come back, especially if we could catch the airfield on a busier day.
