I was afraid when I went there that I would be helped by a teenager who couldn't answer a few questions. I was relieved to see an older gentleman at the window, but that quickly evaporated when HE couldn't answer things that should be routine in their business. Like "approximately how much does a yard of compost weigh?" He told me I could google it. REALLY!!!!! The teenager probably would have googled it for me. read more

Was looking to have wood chips and river rocks delivered. After speaking to the female employee on the phone, I decided to go elsewhere. Customer service over the phone was a turn-off. I'm sure their products are great, however, I can't work with abrupt and rude service of any kind. read more

Purchased 2 yards of top soil for my garden bed, 4 yards of premium mulch, and 2 yards of 3/4 gravel. Very happy with cost and quality. Quick and easy to pick up your order. Highly recommend if you are looking for house projects and don't want to waste money at L or HD. read more

I have purchased bulk firewood multiple times. I'm referring to the firewood in the metal bins. This year it seems the size of the wood is much larger and about half of the wood required splitting once I go it home. I recommend that Parson's Farm split the wood so that it usable. read more

Not the most friendly of folks here. I needed some top soil and was asked to call back in a couple of days or so since it rained. Now I get that you cant deliver wet mud but damn you should have took it upon yourself to take my number and offer to call me back. You lost the business. Thankfully other companies are in the area that have the ability to keep products they sell dry. read more

Parsons farm does NOT support disabled military folks, and I'll explain why. My father, retired Lt Col. Marine who is 82 years old, disabled and has 3 types of cancer, called and spoke with ***** and advised he was looking for clean, seasoned, mostly oak firewood. She said that she could deliver it, so he order 4 cords for $1500. When the driver got there and started to dump it, my Dad was able to walk outside and told the driver that the wood didn't look that good, at which time the driver said "I'm just the driver, but the next load looks better". So, the driver came back and finished dumping the wood in the driveway, at which time my father was not available. Now, I went to his house this morning to start stacking it, and was shocked to see small chunks of rotten wood, large chunks of rotten wood that won't fit into a fireplace, and more normal size pieces that were even MORE rotten. I mean, this stuff is crumbing in my hands (I have MANY pics and video of this, but yelp will only allow 1). I called Parsons and spoke with a nice gentleman who then said I needed to talk with *****, the office manager. I explained to her what we received, and she immediately stated that's that's not what was loaded on the truck or delivered to us, and that none of it was rotten. I mentioned to her that I had pics, and she stated that she didn't need to see the pics because she knows what they sent my father. I stopped her and requested they send someone out so I could show them the rotten and crumbling wood, and the lack of oak, which she adamantly stated they sent. She became very combative and said that she was NOT sending someone out to look at it, and that I was not letting her explain her side of the story (which she already did, what more could she say?). She then asked what did I want to do, and I said some compensation of the $1500 my dad spent for the rotten wood. She firmly stated that's not going to happen. I told her that she wasn't helping or listening to me, and I requested to talk to someone above her, which she stated that was not possible, as it was Mr. Parson himself. After more back and forth, I gave her my number and requested Mr. Parsons call me directly, and she promptly hung up on me. I'm sorry to say that Mr Parson's will probably never get the message nor understand the shotty customer service his office manager is providing. He's probably not aware of the negative reviews that are building up either. I am warning EVERYBODY that the pics they have of the wood on the net are NOT what you are going to receive. Look at the other bad reviews they have received and save yourself the trouble of dealing with a company that doesn't care about it's customers, only money. I'm appalled that she doesn't care about her customers, or a disabled combat veteran. STAY AWAY FROM PARSON"S when it comes to firewood, as I don't know about any other products they sell. read more

My husband and I went here to purchase some railroad ties for our backyard. We purchased them for $120 and waited by the ties to receive assistance putting them on the back of the truck. The guy who came with the forklift, and we let him know which ones we would like (out of the 50+, over half were rotted and in bad condition). He guy then informed us we were not allowed to pick which ones we wanted, and pointed out the most rotted, beat up railroad ties in the pile and said those were the ones we were going to receive. We immediately went back inside to get a refund, and will NEVER return. Veteran friendly? No sir, my husband and I are both active duty. read more
