stop to get my breaks checked last week. Already had both sets of brakes and front rotors because I was fairly center all needed changed. The guy running around the front area of the shop at first seemed helpful and got me in fast even being busy. He ask what was going on and I said the noise has gotten worse the last couple of days and he shot back with "so you wait until it's bad and then bring it to us" and walked away (strike #1). He returns later and says "the front brakes are shot and the back brakes are almost shot.....probably not safe to keep driving." I told him I figured that and the replacements are in the back seat. He said "You have your own stuff? We don't do that here" and turns and walks away without another word......(strike #2). The guy that actually did the inspection comes up very politely and told me he was sorry he couldn't help and tells me my car is outside and the keys are in it. Four days later, I find another shop and can take me in. When they were about to remove my tire, he comes back to me and informs me two of the lug nuts on the front are missing.....(strike #3). Total interest lost after they saw I was not buying the replacement parts from them. to be honest, if I had known that before hand, I would have purchased the parts from them. My truck started making a noise on a Friday afternoon before Memorial Day weekend. They are one of the few places open on Saturday so they were able to look at it Saturday morning. I have a slow leak in my tire, so I called to try making an appointment or to ask if I could come in. I called and said something like, "Hi, I have a slow leak in my tire and was wondering if I could come in some time to get that fixed?" and the (very bored sounding) woman who answered mumbled something, but I couldn't tell what she said. I asked, "I'm sorry, could you repeat that?" and then she hung up on me. I called back a minute or so later, thinking maybe it was an accident? I said "Hi, I just called about my tire leaking?" and once again, she hung up on me. I called back again right after, and this time she didn't even answer the phone. I wondered if maybe I called the wrong number, but when I called the first two times I was greeted with the woman saying the store name, so I didn't call the wrong number... read more

I have to offset the poor, 1-star review with my July 2016 story: I accidentally drove over a bungee cord that fell out of the truck in front of us on I-75, which punctured our tire at the 52 mile marker south-bound. We were a few miles north of London and when we put on the spare and checked the phone for a local a tire shop.We found Parsley's but saw it only had 1 star on Yelp. Regardless, I called them (4:26pm) and asked them if we could squeeze in to replace a tire. They said as long as we were almost there it would be no problem (quitting time was 5pm). We arrived 10 minutes later, picked out a replacement, mounted & balanced it as well as re-winched my spare which fits under the drivers seat and is a big pain to get back into place...and we pulled back onto the hwy at 5:01pm. My Son was traveling on I-75 through London, KY on his way back to school In Indiana. Along the stretch of I-75 through London, KY, he hit a piece of metal in the road and blew-out a tire. I was in Dallas, Texas on a business trip. Since my Son's car was loaded-down like all returning college student's cars are, he was unable to get to the donut spare. So, I began a "dialing-for-tires" campaign from the airport in Dallas. After several calls, I ended-up with Parsley's in London, KY. I spoke with Jeff and explained my situation. Having Kids of his own, he understood my plight. In short-order, he advised that he had a tire of the correct size and he could make a trip out to the Interstate and replace the tire. And of course, as fate would have it, this was all about their closing time. Jeff and Jane (I believe it was) were extremely pleasant to deal with and most helpful and understanding. In a time when Customer Service has gone by the wayside; it was refreshing to experience such a willingness to help.
