This park sits adjacent to Bosque de Chapultapec, between Reforma and Polanco, yet it is often overlooked by many. Not only are the Museo Nacional de Antropologia and the Museo Tamayo situated inside this park, but there is quite a lot of open and wooded space available for casual hangouts. A monument to Gandhi, the park's namesake, sits at the North end and is quite pleasant. Additionally, there is a kilometer -long dirt running path situated just behind this monument, and is completely covered by trees. This makes for a nice alternative to running on sidewalks, dodging cars, and sweltering in the sun. While you will rarely find a large number of people just casually hanging out here, beware of the large number of cars that park in the area for museum access, and cut through as a commuter route. Additionally, on Sunday mornings there is often an organized race that starts/ends here, and they often block off many areas to non-participant use. read more
