As a startup, it was important for us to have a complete set of workplace policies to protect us as we build our team. David helped us implement important workplace policies that could scale as we grow (e.g., arbitration, zero tolerance, expense reimbursement) and advised us on how to best use these policies to protect us from lawsuits. Throughout the process, David was hard working, meticulous, and knowledgeable. We appreciated that he truly tried to understand our business and seemed to genuinely want our business to succeed. He asked a lot of questions to learn about our operations and goals to tailor the legal policies to our company. He then offered numerous options to address our goals and explained the advantages and disadvantages of each option from a legal perspective. For example, we value doing things differently but better and also taking care of our team members. David explained to us different vacation policies we could implement and ultimately helped us develop an unlimited vacation policy for our team. With David's help, we now have all the right systems and policies in place to grow our business and team. I highly recommend David as an employment attorney.

Kevin impressed me very much as an attorney with his clear and focused advices. Kevin quickly reviewed my documentation and confirmed I had a valid lemon law claim. Instead of immediately jumping into litigation, he provided clear, strategic advice on exactly how to communicate with the manufacturer to maximize the chances of a voluntary resolution. His guidance was invaluable! Kevin told me precisely what to say (and what NOT to say) when calling the manufacturer's customer service. He explained the entire repurchase process and what to expect, helped me what to expect and what would be the options, and he was always responsive to my questions via email very quickly. Even during holidays! The result was superb! Following Kevin's advice, the manufacturer agreed to repurchase my vehicle without any need for litigation and any legal process. The matter was resolved efficiently, saving everyone time and legal costs. Kevin was very practical, professional, and focused on getting the best outcome with the least hassle. He could have easily pushed for litigation or unnecessary process, but instead he gave me honest advice that resolved the issue quickly. I was so impressed with Kevin that I highly recommend consulting with him. His expertise and strategic guidance made all the difference in my case.

Had a court date in three weeks and I needed a good lawyer for my arraignment date. I knew that this was only arraignment. And usually nothing happens except pleading guilty or not guilty. Well long story short. Andrew didn't just sit around and wait while the other lawyers would try and cut in front of him. The San Francisco court house is chaos! He made sure we were heard as soon as possibly. And I didn't have to wait for hrs. Like I would have had to do if I had a public defender. Well the case got dismissed. And Andrew is going to help do the expulsion also. Totally a class act lawyer! Thank you Andrew!

Long story short - got the temporary restraining order back in December 2024, wonderful choice of direction some people choose to solve business disputes. I looked around and picked Andrew as my counsel. Nice and friendly interview, practicing family/civil law, plus more than a hundred 5-star reviews (for an attorney) -- what else do you need, right? Besides, having backups of texts, emails, paperwork going back for more than three years and reading through utterly ridiculous affidavit filed against me, I haven't had a single worry on my mind. Until the final hearing 15 months later. and... The most disappointing, hurtful, and insufferable element in the outcome of this case is not the adjudication but rather - Andrew's covert yet egregious abuse of my trust - "I really want you win. I'm doing my best to make it happen. I know you are the good guy here" yadayadayada. - his persistent lying and gaslighting about pretty much everything case-related. "Did you read my email? - Yes, sure! - Ok, which point do you prefer? - Oh, I don't know yet, I'll read it again later". Of course he didn't read it because Mailtrack (the email tracking addon which shows whether an you sent got read or an attachment got opened, etc) I finally installed in Gmail just to see what's going on, it showed "not read yet" - he would open an email in question five to ten minutes after a nudge yet pay no attention to the attachments as if the evidence documents attached were the least of your concern (that turned to be the case after all). - his flagrant lack of even a modicum of professional integrity - he didn't pay attention to anything happening with my case, facing a rather aggressive counsel on the opposite side who's been bombarding me with the delays, contempts, motions this and motions that - he just attended hearings and gaslighted me about "there's nothing we can do here" - he constantly failed to even let me know about the new court documents filed by the opposing party - I had to set a reminder/alarm for myself to check the case log via court's website on a daily basis just to make sure I won't miss the new filings. - he picked twelve pieces of evidence (primarily business convos related) out of more than 70 available (one-on-one communications disproving each allegation one after another), told me I don't need witnesses, disregarded testimonies of witnesses on the opposite side, yeah.... - his lack of responsibility and preparedness illustrated by "I have no idea what's going on here" conduct in the courtroom where the commissioner felt compelled to raise a few objections herself to stop opposing counsel's inappropriate line of questioning. He was peacefully staring at the ceiling meanwhile. - his lack of self-reflection in regard to his mistakes or mostly shortcomings - he prefers to blame it all on everybody else around: petitioner, opposing counsel, judge, weather, and me of course (apparently I was too nervous and yet he had full list of my medical conditions and medications but didn't bother informing the commissioner about it). - his "it's your problem" attitude which became clearly evident when you failed to mumble out a single word to explain the reasoning for my remote participation (which has angered the judge beyond belief) at first evidentiary hearing, My mother had a stroke two days prior and after spending ~ 40 sleepless hours sitting in some waiting room at the CPMC Van Ness while she's been going through three separate cranial/brain surgeries. I kept him aware of each and every development, even the minor ones, sent him doctors' correspondence to show to the judge - he didn't bother until the hearing started and judge began yelling. - his complete obliviousness to opposing counsel's conduct and her complete disregard to attorney's candor rules. He hasn't even bothered to react to her literally screaming some despicable bs at the judge like "respondent's lying! He's not at any hospital! I know it because his car didn't leave the driveway in the last five days". Well, my car hasn't left the driveway for more than seven months - the battery's been dead ever since but.... rejoice! There's Uber and I did send even the freaking trips receipts. Nah, he didn't even bother to raise the question the source of info re: where my car is (not geoloc for sure, battery's _dead_ dead) - his unprofessional, childish tantrums where he would let himself to literally yell at me or ask me questions like "are you bipolar or is it OCD?" - and so on. To sum it up - if you are determined to snatch a life-destroying defeat from the jaws of victory (for the lack of better words) and pay a ton of $$$ for it, then Andrew is your top choice.

Eric was the only attorney who responded the same day. He even took the time to decipher my nearly inaudible voicemail, which had been garbled by poor cell reception. He was direct and transparent from the start and spent more than 30 minutes speaking with me before deciding to take on my case. He is exceptionally intelligent, efficient, and highly knowledgeable about real estate law. The level of time and care he devoted to my case made me feel like I was his only client. The buyers then proceeded to do their due diligence with various inspections, etc. Once the buyers were totally satisfied, they then removed all contingencies. I thought the rest of the process would be straightforward as we counted down towards the mutually agreed close-of-escrow date. But it turned out that the buyers' lending bank, which had earlier preapproved the buyers, decided at the last minute to back out, so the escrow fell through. I then had to go through the process of putting my house on the market again. Two months after that failed escrow, I received a letter from an attorney representing the unsuccessful buyers who argued that these buyers should get all their initial Ernest Money Deposit (EMD) back (this EMD was still being held by the title company). It was then that I contacted Cary Kletter's office to see if they would represent me in dealing with the buyers' attorney. Upon learning the key facts of this aborted escrow, Cary believed that I had a good case and agreed to represent me. So Cary wrote a very firm letter to the buyers' attorney. By first reminding the buyers the salient facts of this case, and why the escrow failed, Cary easily dismissed any basis the buyers might have for laying claim to the EMD. Nonetheless, Cary offered the buyers a small percentage of the EMD to settle the matter; the alternative being to go to mediation. Cary made it very clear to the buyers that should they lose in mediation, they would be responsible for all associated costs, including attorney fees. Thus with this one well-articulated and forceful letter, Cary was able to gain the upper hand in the negotiation that followed. This negotiation in fact went on for two more rounds. With each round, the buyers' attorney showed that they were willing to take a smaller and smaller percentage of the EMD. With the buyers evidently in retreat, Cary then issued a very strong 'take-it-or-go-mediation' final offer. The buyers' had little choice but to accede. Even though I did not get all the EMD and was quite sure that I would win in mediation, I was very happy with the final settlement. I was most relieved that we managed to avoid all the time and hassle of the mediation process. So I have to say Cary really knows his stuff when it comes to such negotiations! I was very impressed by Cary's negotiating style and tactics, and I am most grateful that he represented me.
