All those who know me know that my integrity is paramount. I am a community leader and lineage healer of a thousand generations, backed by my ancestors who have travelled the seas and fought against colonizers who oppressed and tried to silence them. I will NOT ALLOW you to do that to me today. So, to be called a liar by saying that I was being untruthful to save the face of your business is seriously uncalled for. Other businesses would have apologized and tried to appease customers such as myself in some way. I may take advantage of it or not. But at least, I received an apology. I received NONE. As an avid Yelper, I have every right to express my own PERSONAL experience with your gallery. I may not be a success story, but at least, I can tell others what happened to me. I also want to encourage artists to believe in themselves enough that they do not need other galleries to see to their own success. Very few fine artists in the world enjoy wealth and notoriety. Yet, many are so talented and go unrecognized. We see the world through our own unique lenses. I honestly believe that these events that exhibit artwork PREY on artists. They PREY on galleries...and galleries such as Artblend pass on the costs to the artists. It is true, it would cost more if we did it on our own to be at these so-called Hampton/New York/Spectrum Shows. ARTISTS, LOOK PAST all the pomp and circumstance of wealthy art seekers. You are out $5000, competing in a sea of other artists vying for space on the walls of some mansion. If you are so blessed to have a cushion of funds to invest, BY ALL MEANS, take the business risk. Truth: You ARE a pay-to-play gallery Truth: You do have a beautiful gallery and can make sales for artists who are lucky enough to sell their art. Truth: I did pay $5000 Truth: I was foolish and stupid to think that this was the course of action I needed to take to get my art "out there." Truth: I am NOT your success story Truth: You did offer resolution. But if Michael's idea of resolution is to PAY MORE by offering me a discounted rate to exhibit my artwork in San Diego, that it NOT my idea of a resolution. By the way, he was a nice person in the beginning. I don't believe he is a customer service driven person. I actually liked your first lady dealing with me. After all email exchanges, he took over and definitely lacks the finesse of dealing with unhappy clients. Truth: The Gallery was NEGLIGENT in the care of my art. PICTURES ARE EVIDENCE OF DAMAGE. Perhaps you can find a nugget of wisdom in this whole experience, as I have done myself. I learned so much about myself and for what it's worth, I am grateful. Artblend was a great teacher in what it means to believe in oneself. The experience taught me to keep it close to home and expand out that way when I am truly ready. Blessings and salamat.

Seeing beautiful art excites me. It's a feeling that's hard to describe, but I feel like I'm home among these great works of art. I could just look for hours. I realize the way these artists must feel to see their beloved paintings on display. I'm a photographer and I would just be so proud to have a showing such as this of my works. The gallery gave out wine, cheese and coffee to their guests. It was well worth the drive down there to see the beautiful display and imbibe their treats.I'm looking forward to the next showing by Artblend, I hope it's soon! So only One more Week left to view this interesting, important work by various Haitian artists. A great Toussaint artwork and one piece made of Skittles into the face of "Tupac." If you look at the Skittle piece up close you may not be able to see it is, in fact, Tupac Shakur. Inside the actual museum which was once a gymnasium Basketball Court is a weaving exhibit entitled "Ancestral Lines" which has been here a couple of months- having opened on April 4, 2025- and, I think, will be here about another month until sometime in July 5, 2025, as I recall. I was very happy to learn that they sell beverages so you can walk around with them! I will try that next time. The only problem is that it probably only takes a half an hour to walk around. There is a little garden path outside that you can roam around that has lots of little sculptures and fairy/ gnome houses. It is good for children, as they offer classes and summer programs. It is wonderful as it is a non-profit and free to the community. I appreciate they have different events including book signings and authors, and the space is open for rentals and things. It's overall very cute, but still lots of room for improvement.

It was a great night at the Bailey arts center. We had…read moregotten tickets for the monthly jazz show they put on here. We had other things come up the past couple months that it was on so was happy to finally have it line up with things. When I arrived they were still setting up. I think actually planned to start late so it was suggested by the people there to enjoy the adjoining arts galleries attached to the center. I didn't expect so much great art to be available. There was modern art, realistic painted portraits, mixed media and much more. In addition, there were resident artists that were actually on site working on pieces. It was very enjoyable. The show started and was great. it was a 4 piece band, playing jazz of a certain motif. All songs were based on the guitarist of the 60's, West Montgomery. The theme made it even more enjoyable. All 4 guys were really good, and all had killer solos. The facility does put up a wine concession too, for those who would like a glass with their jazz. They are off next month, but plan to be back at the next show. It makes for a nice Thursday night show.

Since my daughter is an artist I was intrigued and we headed over to check it out. BaCA as this place is also known has a first floor gallery and on the second floor there are different rooms that the artists rent as studio space and you can go and watch them work. No one was in in residence on our visit but my daughter loved seeing their spaces and the works in progress. Although her work is more digital than fine arts at present I know she would love to have her own space in this beautiful building. There is even a cute coffee house located next door. On the first of every month they hold Old Town Untapped from 6-9. It's a craft brew and arts festival. Outside of BaCA they have craft brew samples from Odd Breed Ales located across the street, art, and food trucks. Other events that are scheduled can be found listed in a pamphlet that you can get from the Cultural Arts Center across the street. I love that Pompano is moving in the direction of having more arts. The director of arts told me that there are actually four venues for the arts in Pompano now as well as a newly created cultural arts council. I look forward to seeing what they present and attending great art events in Pompano in the future.

On the recommendation of a friend I took my Boss to this awesome little frame shop. He had a…read moreSultan's scroll that dated back to the early 1800's and he was concerned about getting it framed properly. Not only did Picture Framing & Art Gallery frame this treasured artifact beautifully; they used a special preservative matting and glass that will keep this scroll from ever fading or deteriorating! My Boss was so impressed with their work that he went back with a pile of old family photos to be framed. This second time around the shop made arrangements for a skilled carpenter to come to his house and properly hang and arrange his framed pieces for him. Not only do the people here know what they are talking about when it comes to art, they seem to have a genuine interest in meeting their customers' needs with excellent service. I wish we had more places like it and I can't wait to see how my frames turn out!
