I can't recommend the Meridian Village Reach rehab facility. My wife spent more than a week there…read morerecovering from an emergency partial hip replacement. While she was there, she showed multiple signs of a UTI, possibly from catheterization during her surgery. I mentioned this several times and was ignored until I showed staff positive results from a home UTI test. They then agreed to send out a urine sample for test, but never got back to us with the results. Subsequent testing at BJC confirmed a UTI and my wife was put on antibiotics. Conjecture by a friend is that Meridian didn't want to report an infection to the state and was simply waiting for her to be discharged rather than taking action. Home care would have been better and safer for my wife.

The REACH program at Meridian is awesome, they are so friendly to my grandma who has had to be here…read moretwice now, they offer activities, bring therapy dogs, bring her snacks sometimes, at first she wanted to go home but now she kind of likes it here, she is still wanting to go home but at the same time she is comfortable here, they are quick at bringing her medicine when she isn't feeling good, the only thing I would recommend improving on is the therapy department here, there is a BIG lack of communication and don't always do the best job they either overwork her too much or they don't do enough at times, but other than that I think if you have to stay here for a short time for physical rehab I think it's a good place to go to. I can't vouch for the other living arraignments or their wait time for placement but as far as the REACH program I say excellent! Thank you for helping my grandma during this temporary hard time

They hold their employees to a high standard, and treat them well. Great food for residents! So many activities and little excursions for the residents to get out and about in the community too. They go above and beyond to make the residents feel that Stillwater is not a facility, but their home and a community. Beautiful apartments for the residents with a lot of unique safety features. I recently helped tour different assisted livings for my grandmother. I think the highest compliment I can give Stillwater is that not a single one we found was as nice, welcoming, and friendly as this place. Every place we toured, I compared to Stillwater. If Edwardsville was the area we were looking for her to live, without a doubt or any hesitation, I would have her at Stillwater!

From the moment that we first contacted the community we have felt nothing but warmth and compassion. Their staff is always smiling, friendly and helpful. The Community has a warm family feel. The food is EXCELLENT! If you are in the market for an assisted living community you should check this place out. My Mom has a dog and she was able to bring it with her as Stillwater is pet friendly. Mom has commented on several occasions about how she feels safe and pampered. We wish we hadn't waited so long to make the change.

The place (where the duplexes are) are so well-maintained and really the area is so beautiful and much more impressive than I expected TBH! When I told people in the area why I was in IL and where my MIL and FIL moved- everyone said that Eden Village is great, they take really good care of their residents, and the transition to more assisted living is seamless! I feel safe and comfortable having my MIL and FIL living here now!

Mom was a registered nurse until she retired at the ripe old age of 83 and the last 30+ years of her career was spent in nursing homes and care facilities, so she knew what she wanted in one for herself. While Mom was at Southview, she was well taken care of, and despite having a difficult personality (to say the least...), the staff was always friendly and accommodating whenever I came to visit and as I watched my mom interact with them. The facility was clean, attractive, and updated. It is a smaller facility, which is what my mom wanted, and there were many activities available. My mom's space was perfect for her while she was a resident there.

This is the second review I have posted in re to this facility. The first one was two weeks ago when I posted a one star, due to having a loved one in the Memory Care unit, and in a year, especially the last few months saw it seriously decline, and was witness to some disturbing incidences, and lack of any kind of sense. I am now giving three stars due to how quickly and efficiently they responded, and took action. Clearly they pay attention to reviews. Two days after posting my initial review, this unit had done a 180° ! Employees who were problematic had been let go,the staff was working as a diligent team, treating eachother and residents with help and kindness without bickering or complaining, tasks getting done in a routine manner, and more managers present. I emailed them to let them know how impressed I was with what I saw and then had a terrific conversation with the overall director . She took no sides, just addressed and took action professionally. It has been so different visiting my "Nona" this last 4 visits, and I give kudos to them for their attention to addressing their problems .
