The Vietnamese priest was very lively. He was truly happy that it was Jesus' birthday, so much so that near the end of the mass he presented a cake to baby Jesus, lit a birthday candle, and had us all sing the birthday song to Him! He also had a funny homily, admitting that yes, receiving presents is an exciting part of Christmas and we should be joyful when we get them. He even joked that he'd love to get a hover board so he can come down the aisle with it. He was thinking of installing a ramp up the stairs to the altar so it'd be possible to get up there while using the board! And if we found a hover board on sale, to please get him one, LOL. Still, he drove the message home that Jesus' birth is momentous and yes, he is still the reason for the season. However, it is ok to celebrate his birth by having a beer after mass; that's what he was doing after, haha! So if you're ever in the area on Sunday, drop in on mass here. The project and activities have taught my little guy (2.5) more than I would have excepted in one school year. The leaders of the program are very active, attentive, and visible in the school! Everyone that we have encountered here from leadership to teacher to other parents have been friendly and welcoming! I highly recommend this program if you have a budding mind in your home!

The director Ashley amazes me with her knowledge of all that is going on. By that I mean: every child's name, their parents names, what days everyone is attending, what's going on with all the classes.... every time I speak to her (which is just about every day my daughter attends) she greets me and has something relevant to say. Robert Simpson Jr. spoke on Matthew 13:31-32 Mustard Seed. He was really good and really funny as he made his points. I really enjoyed it.
