I accidentally left behind my makeup/toiletry bag after checking out, and the staff were great about it they called us back and made sure it was returned, which I really appreciated. Overall, a clean, comfortable stay with thoughtful service. I would definitely book here again the next time I'm in the area.

This is a self check-in establishment, upon arrival the suite we were assigned was booked. After a conversation with the owner we were accommodated. Our suite was facing the front road and had windows on the side road as well. No view for us as shades needed to be drawn for privacy and noise. This grand home, turned hotel was once a jewel. But between way too many signs in the room and the worn furnishings it is past its prime. There is a difference between antique and worn out. It is close to restaurants and the waterfront.

Extra bedroom (for children perhaps) available with the suites. Comfy bed, king or queen. Well outfitted. Clean as a whistle. Very nice innkeepers. Parking + wifi. You can't go wrong here... and Brockville is a lovely small city to visit.

We had a marvelous stay at 1000 Island B&B! The hosts,…read moreMaciej and Siobhán, were generous in hospitality and information of the area. We arrived early and Maciej ushered us in out of the rain, showed us to our room and gave us ideas of what to do for the afternoon. After exploring the waterfront, we walked through a Underground Railroad tunnel that is now a revitalized pedestrian walkway with lights and music. We had an amazing dinner at the Mill, a lovely Italian restaurant overlooking a creek. We settled back in our lovely room that had a comfortable queen bed with a beautiful down comforter. The private bathroom was huge with a jetted tub and stall shower. You do have to walk out of the room to the bathroom but they are remodeling soon so it will be connected with the bedroom. The breakfast was made to order fresh eggs, seasoned pan roasted potatoes, bacon and sausage, toast and fresh fruit topped with yogurt. Coffee and tea are available whenever you want it. Trust me when I say, you will be so pleased if you stay at 1000 Island B&B.
