I've only been living here for 6 months the beginning is fine the price seemed nice 1360 for a 3 bedroom 2 baths, was told verbally that utilities were at most 150-200 turns out its actually around 500$. My screen door flew off due to the crazy wind and I put a maintenence request on Jan 9th 2026 it is Jan 24th 2026 and the door is still outside when the lady at the office said she would send someone here that same day to pick it up. Not only that but last month December same weather and everything my utility bill was 64$ towards end of January I am getting billed 243$ for gas she said nothing was wrong with it dont even know if she has sent anyone to look at it I want to take this legally and resolve this issue so I can either move out from a fraudulent landlord or atleast negotiate something but I dont see that happening because after I put in another maintenence request on the website it says an error has occurred and won't let me, I still dont know how my gas bill has become so high and I am not given an explanation or told a maintenence person will come look in the house for some leak on something all of it is shadyI tried moving out because I cannot afford the utilities! I was told I would have to pay 5 months rent upfront to even think about moving out! This is my first apartment please do not make the same mistake I have. You cant even see the metering yourself its just prices not which days or why something spiked. read more

This is a horribe place to live. It was okay before the new management person took over Now, it's a nightmare. extremely poor and unhealthy living conditions and maintenance. Since I am unable to respond, I'll edit my review as well! Hello Corey... I'm unsure who you are as there was never a Corey When I stopped by the office (the 3/365 days they were ever open)! I didn't need to put in a work order as when my boxes were pouring water out them, I took them directly to the office to report the issues! I had several work orders addressing the front door lake but I see you neglected to mention how you chose not to rectify that issue! Is it my job to enter a work order manually when I went straight to the office to share my flooding horror story? After being told "file through your renters insurance" in person would you have filed a work order when they blatantly stated they wouldn't help me? Please help me understand! No worries though... I'm still working on filing my lawsuit and have been in touch with on post housing officials to have the whole complex blacklisted! I lived here at two different points, from 2013-2016 and again from 2019-2023 and under several different managements. The current maintenance is good, but they are understaffed and overworked. I have seen maintenance supervisors come and go over the years. Many things in the community don't get done because of this, but I found them to be responsive for me for the most part I have also lived there through a few different management teams. In 2013-2016, I watched a maintenance tech having sex with the leasing consultant while in the garage across from my house from my son's bedroom window that overlooked it. That was great (sarcasm intended). She was inconsistent and mean. If it wasn't for maintenance being awesome, I wouldn't have come back. When I returned in 2019, I believe the leasing agent to be dishonest about the contract at move-in. She tried to charge me after the fact a different amount than what was written on paper. I tried to have very little to do with them honestly. Maintenance was touch and go (currently they are awesome but severely short staffed). The owners of the community now couldn't care less about it. For example, the rain gutters fell down years ago, so there is water POURING on the front door area and flooding it. They have no intention on fixing it. There is dog poop throughout the community and the community smells AWFUL. They have one receptacle for dog waste in the community, contrary to what management claims and the bins are usually full or no bags are left to clean with. I genuinely only saw us cleaning by up the dog waste ever. We had a bathroom remodel that had to be done in 2022 due to a leak in the tub. The head of maintenance back then said it was fine and said it was because my kids let the water overflow. Gene came in and said it was the crack in the tub and the floor rotting away, they fixed it in 3 days and it was awesome afterwards. The straw that broke our back was the roofing on our building kept flying off beginning in 2022. I reported it around Jan 2022 and was told that the roof would be done in the spring/summer. It never got done; our building was skipped. In July 2023, a piece of the roof fell off and hit my 5yo son in the head causing a gash that needed to be sewn up with 9 stitches. When I told management, she shrugged her shoulders and was like, "That will happen." We started looking for a new home at that point, bought it in September and moved in October. This place was convenient and we liked it here because of maintenance. One side of the community is nice. The other side looks like the ghetto. There is no real clubhouse that can be used. They have a lot of land in the front where a workout center could be built and laundry facilities. There is no desire from the parent company to improve this property. We play almost $600 less for a mortgage than we did in rent here. read more

This is the WORST place I've ever lived in. My apartment was in poor condition on move-in, I had a pretty significant mice infestation from large holes in the walls of my kitchen. It takes forever to get things taken care of. They prey on our service members who don't know anything about their reputation when they seek housing. The latest issue is their shady and fraudulent manner they charge utilities. It may seem enticing to rent a 3-bedroom for $1300 a month...but when you factor in the additional $600 a month in utility charges...I would avoid this at all costs. You would have a better quality of life sleeping in a cardboard box than living at Parkstead. If you don't believe me look at all the reviews on all platforms for all the Parkstead communities. They are shady poorly managed communities with little to know integrity. read more
