They acted as though what I was telling them in the group counseling sessions was a lie or inaccurate from what my mother had told them. They didn't, apparently, know that my mom is Borderline and manipulates stories and doesn't always tell the truth, whether she means to or not. At one point to try and prove me wrong, they pulled my file during a session because I guess I didn't answer a question with an answer that matched what my mother had told them. I tried to tell them that she was lying but they didn't believe me and addressed it in a, what I felt to be, slightly aggressive manner. I was fucking pissed. So during my next family visitation I brought it to my mom's attention, who claimed she never told them the things they were accusing me of, and also assured me she would speak to them and make them apologize. She told me it was taken care of. I received NO apology. I also had a friend who's grandmother was once a patient. She was concerned for me while I was in there because she said the staff treated her grandma terribly. Because they didn't want to listen and make an attempt to understand, they get a 1.

I'm not a psychologist sure but Jesus Christ I'm a geoscientist and he refuses to engage in meaningful conversation about mental health and prescription drugs. I am done. I've seen him 3 times and each time he's just more and more of a smugged inconsiderate asshole. Don't go to this guy. The worst mental health professional I have ever worked-with. "Worked With" being an operative phrase.
