Went out on my birthday to buy an ice cream sandwich. The guy at the register sang me happy birthday. I was impressed and grateful.

The employees lied to me and did not take my request for help knowing if there was onions on a sandwich "because I am allergic"" seriously and as a result I suffered from anaphylactic shock and my life flashed before my eyes. Luckily I had the allergy medicine available. Came in late evening for snacks n smokes . As I approach the register some voice came over intercom and said I and stolen some stuff.( I didn't). Once I proved that there wasn't anything in my clothes and empty out on my pockets the cashier was upset that there was nothing on me and refuse me service . Kinda grungy, kinda seedy, with some fairly odd fellows hanging out in the parking lot near La Mota on the regular. Never filled up here since Leathers a block away has better prices and better service. As for the store itself, the counter staff oscillate between awesome and awful, depending on the individual. I had a very poor experience yesterday morning. There was a homeless person laying on the sidewalk next to the service station. There were two team members for the service station standing by the front door, which one of them was smoking. There were customers out pumping their own gasoline. The homeless guy was yelling to call an ambulance, I asked the team member if he was going to call an ambulance and he just mocked the homeless guy and made fun of me. Easy in-and-out. The attendant worked quickly and even ran back to my car after he realized my fill was done faster than expected. There was a shady character standing outside the store staring a people and acting generally strange. Odd and a little unnerving. Convenient location to stop at before returning rental cars. If I could give this place a negative star I would. To make a long story short the gas attendant filled my tank by mistake and demanded I pay the difference. I told him no, I'm not going to. He got aggressive and started to yell at me with other customers around. I asked for his manger and of course it being late at night no one was there. The argument got heated, I started to drive away and he began to follow me. I got to the street and because there cameras only point at the fill station, it did not capture him hitting the back of my car and causing damage to it. Overpriced gas that happens to be near the airport. I'm from California, so used to pumping my own gas, so staying in the car I didn't see very much, but it looked pretty grimy with some questionable customers. At least the service was quick. read more

Worst customer service ever!! Only gave them 1 star because you can't post with no stars. Took back a tank of Amerigas (swappable) propane tanks when the open/close handle broke off when I tried to use it. Despite being a swappable tank, they refused to do anything without a receipt. Do you keep receipts everytime you fill a tank??? Aren't these tanks supposed to be swapped? Isn't that the point? Not even a 'sorry, that's our policy'. Said they couldn't do anything unless I had the receipt to prove I got the tank from them. Apparently, they don't care that they are selling defective products and don't stand behind their products. read more

My review is for Krispy Krunch Chicken, located inside this Shell gas station. I read recently in the local fish wrap (The Reflector) that this place is supposed to have really good chicken. So today (a Saturday, at noon), I stopped in to try their Hot Wings. There was a young girl behind the counter. I ordered the wings, and she replied that she did not have any. I asked why that was. Her reply was: "Oh, I just haven't made any yet". I hope the owner/manager reads this review, and fires this useless employee. Oh yes, I will NEVER go back again. read more

I just broke down outside this gas station. The owner Ambeka came out and offered me a ride to where I needed to get. Her whole staff was super friendly and encouraging. Luckily there was an auto shop next door and he strolled over and got me going. They had a little community there and I got super lucky to fall apart within it! It's too bad you can't give negative stars. These people are horrible business people. The attendant didn't know what he was doing and I asked three times about my FM rewards discount. All he did was swipe my debit card but hadn't the first clue about the FM rewards. He then called his coworker over and instead of just telling me they don't participate he canceled the fill but not before they took an authorization from my DEBIT card. The clerk inside was no more useful than the first two and I had to pay AGAIN for my fuel AND they still didn't give the rewards credit. To add insult to injury the clerk says they have no manager and they can't give out the owner's information to remedy the problem. They still have a hold on my money and they refuse to have the owner call me. Next stop the BBB. read more

I can't believe the rudeness of your employee who was working 8:00 pm on Monday!!! My disabled husband was driving our pickup truck into this gas station to get water because we were over heating. He is 65 I'm 55 and our friend who is also disabled. This woman yelled at us in front of other customers and demanded us to leave even though our truck wasn't running and mind you we were also going to fill up and get oil yet her rudeness ran us off My husband left $10 for the water we used I sure hope the register reflected that. I always go into Shell and order the Cajun chicken from the deli because its good..but I went in today and ordered an 8 piece after picking my husband up from work..we get home and I made our dinner plates..when my husband but into his piece of chicken..it was still link towards the bone and sort of rubbery..and same thing when I but into my piece..we go back up there within an hour of us purchasing..I just wanted the girl in the deli to cool my chicken a few minutes longer..but the cashier dug her hand in there and started tearing the Meat off the bone and said what's wrong with it..saying its Cajun chicken its gonna be link..I know the difference between Cajun and chicken not cooked all the way thru. So she calls the deli girl over and she automatically started getting ride telling me she is NOT going to refund my money..i told her I wasn't looking for a refund but just wanted her to cook a few minutes longer. But she started going off on me LOUDLY saying shes never had anyone come in and complain about her food and that I'm the first one..by this time the store had maybe 10 people in there. I've never been so mistreated by anyone!! And on top of that she three My chicken in the trash when i asked her about that she told me she will give me what she had which was wings..I said fine..but when i looked in the box it was 6 small chicken tenders..the cashier grabbed the box from me and rudely told me I will NOT get a refund or get my chicken that I paid for!! I asked for the managers name and she refused to give me..saying it was against store policy..and would not give me their names! I will NEVER go back there again!! Excellent came out and filled the tank for me! Then I remembered that this is what they do in Oregon! However, still very nice and think more deserving of lower starts. Plus they are right on the way to the airport and it is very convenient to fill up your rental car, and not have to drive 15 miles in the wrong direction just to fill up which is common at a lot of airports. read more
