This is very standard shopping center with parking attached on top. Oddly many stores in this…read morebuilding also have stores down the street on main shopping street...why??? They got almost everything, sports shop on both upper and lower level, food court, keenly shop, H&M, grocery shop, book store, list goes on. Still can not figure out how the parking rule works, but a nice Danish dude told me parking is free for two hours. But how would parking enforcement know I parked there for two, and not more???

We came to Billund to bring the kids to Lego House during Spring Break and it was a journey to get…read morehere. There were no direct flights fry the Bay Area so we spent a couple days in Greece and then flew to Frankfurt and then to Billund. It is a small airport and the benefit it is easy to get in and out. We came during off seasons so it was even more quiet and it was easy to rent a car when we decided impromptu to get one without having reserved one before. After the long trip it was great being greeted by Lego stuff right at baggage claim getting both kids super excited. There is a smaller replica of the Lego tree inside of Lego House and there is a fun blue Trex opposite to the "Visit Lego House" wall. Exiting the baggage claim there is a 1:1 lego built statue with a welcome to Billund sign. All of these are great photo opportunities and a good reminder of the towns association with Lego, even the airport itself was constructed originally by Lego. We didn't leave from this airport so I wasn't able to check but years ago there was an exclusive "Lego Billund" airport set that you could only buy at this airport.

Billund Airport was a short hop from Copenhagen and easy to navigate. They hosted both Denmark…read moredomestic and some international flights. We only flew one way into Billund and found it to be not very crowded and easy to navigate given its smaller size. From the time we disembarked from our SAS flight we quickly exited baggage claim in less than 15 minutes. It could've been faster if not for the various Lego creations installed throughout the airport that we just had to photograph. The taxis, rental cars and buses to Legoland and downtown Billund were just outside arrivals. The buses were inexpensive and took about 15 minute to downtown.. Another must see for Lego lovers in Billund..
