Ordered Rib Eye steak, expecting it to be standard. WOW, was I surprised!!! Great piece of meat and cooked to absolute perfection! I have eaten all over Australia and the steak here was better quality and better cooked than Rockpool at Crown Casino in Melbourne! They've totally redone the inside & outside, giving it a very modern revamp, but still staying true to the Red Lion feel. I regularly get feeds there and love it more and more each time! Firstly, the waitress, was extremely rude - we asked for a caramel latte and her response was - We don't have syrups here - what do you think we are McDonalds or something..... SERIOUSLY!! And this was all while she was leaning on the table with one hand and the only hand on her hip. Great body language. The food was not nice at all. Eggs over cooked, bread was over toasted that it couldn't be eaten. Funnily enough - we went to McDonalds afterwards and it was the best coffee we have had in Rockhampton. Defiantly wont be returning. Don't bother if you like syrup in your coffee and like polite friendly staff. You will be left disappointed.
