I ordered flowers for V Day but they never showed up- plus they don't answer their phone. AVOID

I placed an order for a bouquet for a funeral as I was going to be out of town. First, the order is still showing as pending, it was never marked as delivered. So I had to reach out to my friend, who just lost her brother, to confirm the flowers were received. And then she sent me a picture of what was sent. I'm embarrassed that my name was on the arrangement. It was maybe a third of the size of the photo. The pictures tell the story. This had nothing to do with availability, this was substandard service. I could have purchased a nicer arrangement at the grocery store. I will NEVER do business with Parker's Florist again. Parker's Floral is simply the best! Ms. Tammy's excellent customer service is a vital aspect of any successful business or organization. It refers to the provision of exceptional support and assistance to customers before, during, and after a purchase or interaction. Ms. Tammy attempted to make a delivery to me which was a surprise indeed. The individual that sent the delivery to me lives and works in a completely different state and time zone and due to the nature of my job I am not always in country ... she recognized the nature of the logistics between all parties involved and was so kind and empathetic. Parker's Floral is re delivering so that I will be able to enjoy my gift, but in the interim, she sent me a photo so that I could see. Ms. Tammy's excellent customer service was prompt, empathetic, with problem resolution. They definitely have a loyal customer with me and would recommend this establishment over and over again. Can't believe what my out of state daughter paid for Mother's Day flowers that were put on my porch two days before due date. She asked for bright and vibrant tulips, but that's not what I received (see pic). Only 8 tulips! Can't believe it left the shop like this. Nothing like requested. When they don't wish to deal with people they take their phone off the hook. When I called their phone was busy. Over the last week we have had several storms, I thought maybe they were having phone issues. I drive all the way across town just to find out they were tired of telling people they were out of flowers. They blamed it on the suppliers. I called another florist that was happy to tell me then could not deliver anymore for tomorrow but could have me an arrangement for tomorrow. read more

I had previously ordered fake flowers for my wedding that had been delayed by USPS. When I was 1 week from my wedding and had lost hope on them I decided I needed to find a local florist who could prepare flowers for my wedding on super short notice. This florist was very willing to help prepare beautiful flowers for me using my color choices and style preference within the timeline I needed. The fake flowers ended up arriving just in time before I finalized my order with this florist so I was unable to go through with my order, but based on her helpfulness and what she had planned for my bouquets I believe they would have turned out beautifully. I plan to order any flowers I need for future events from this florist! Anyone willing to help out a panicked bride the week of her wedding deserves all my business haha. read more

Edited from a 1 star to a 3: (first) Terrible. I ordered flowers for a friends birthday. Friend waited by door the entire day and no one knocked. Later in the night found a card that had un-readable scribbles on it. When I called the florist they stated that the delivery guy "probably left the flowers with a neighbor" but that they didn't know where they were. I also pointed out I had left specific instructions to call me when they were going to deliver (which they did not) and I do not understand the point of getting so many phone numbers if they aren't going to call any of them as I had included my recipient's number. The lady told me on the phone that they "don't always honor the specific instructions" ... ok then get rid of that form on your webpage please. Anyways, I'm not happy. (later today) after several phone calls, they fixed the situation and delivered the flowers. Better late than never. Changed rating a 3 stars. read more

Such shame. Very disappointed with this business. The customer service was rude, passive aggressive, flat out unpleasant. The classic "product was not as shown on picture". Theresa answered the phone because "everybody else has gone home", decided to give us the 50 percent off because it had been 6 days from our order made. We ordered on Friday, they delivered by Saturday, and I finally was able to speak with someone on Wednesday, which according to Theresa, was surpassing their 5 day guarantee. I realize now as I'm typing this, she said she'd refund 50% back but we in fact still ended up paying what those flowers that we received, are actually worth. We tried calling a few times before to question what happened to the flowers, why they weren't as the picture but the phone line sounded like the internet back in the 90's. I couldn't even tell her that over the phone cause she kept raising her voice, speed talking and cutting me mid sentence the whole time. Literally..would not let me even start a sentence. I was told all customers call the day of or the day after to complain. I went and let her get to me but I realize now she could have things going on that made her they way she is. Nobody is perfect, but this is a gift we wanted and work hard for to present to our loved ones. Momma had a serious surgery and isn't herself. Past the drama..We are aware of the time difference since we live in California, but they should have had their phones open when we called during their business hours. I don't know what happened there. The flowers that we ordered, "are out of season" but they try to "stick to the color theme"..?? Whether or not the flowers are available on a certain day because their flower deliveries come in on Mondays, they should NOT allow their website to display photos of what they DO NOT have. If it ain't in season or you're out, take it out. Take the photos off. We spent the extra money for the deluxe version thinking it would guarantee the full and beautiful bouquet shown as the photo. It's not worth the time or money to deal business like this. Take your hard earned money elsewhere. Find someone who still cares no matter how busy it gets. Oh yeah, by the way, never got a confirmation email because.. "confirmation emails sometimes don't go through, it says it'll be delivered but it doesn't sometimes". Had used Parkers in the past for large orders and they had been mostly accommodating and their products were at least adequate. I believe in supporting local businesses though so I thought I'd give them a chance to do my simple wedding flowers. A modest arrangement for the alter, bride and attendant bouquets of a single type of flower, several corsages, and several boutonnières. This was in January for an April wedding. The person I was speaking with was quite kind and thought that for such a small, simple order (though a bit pricey because of the flower I chose) it would be easy for them to work it in. Another woman came over to check out the order and we were rudely told that we would have to change our weeks if we wanted them to accommodate us since that was Bob Jones homecoming weekend! That was the only weekend we could book due to all our immediate family and their travel issues. I told them that we couldn't change our plans because our immediate family was too hard to get together-it had taken months to narrow down that weekend. I said I'd be happy to work with them, could we pick up the flowers mid week to help ease their schedule? They wouldn't even have to deliver them. No. Well, could they order the flowers for us, I had friends who could do arrangements. No, they would need the whole week for the Bob Jones crowd and the storage space for their flowers. I can understand having a local business that has lots of folks that depend on them for a particular event. But at least be kind to your customers and be polite when telling them you don't want to serve them (your right)! Don't be rude and let a loyal customer think their business isn't the least bit important to them! I found a kind local florist in north Madison that has since become my go-to florist. That was three years ago. Have had much nicer arrangements sent to clients and friends and she can accommodate me even during the week of Bob Jones Prom...no matter how busy she gets! (At least she acts like my business is important to her!) I can't recommend Parkers florist any longer. Horrible experience. My boyfriend spent $80 and bought me some flowers. It lasted less than a week and the flowers died without ever blooming. I called the store to tell them. They said they only guarantee 3 days of life of the flowers. Then the lady told me that roses don't usually bloom. I mentioned to her the roses I bought at Publix bloomed like crazy and I had it for over a week and they are still alive. She then argued that most of their customers don't like their roses to bloom. WTF! who doesn't like their flowers to bloom?!?! Especially when we spent $80 on them!! She said she will let her boss know and call me back the next day. I never heard from them again. I WILL START BUYING FLOWERS ELSE WHERE. DO NOT BUY FLOWERS FROM THEM. They are overpriced and they do not keep up with their promises. read more

This is a HORRIBLE business that should NEVER be recommended or used. I made the mistake of ordering flowers for my fiancé from Parker's twice in the past and both times were terrible. Flowers were wilted and dead after a couple of days. Buds that appeared to be starting to open never finished blooming and died. Made countless attempts to get through to a manager and every single time was met with an excuse or my information was supposedly taken and a "note" left for them to call. But that's not even the best part! Just a week ago I was shocked to see a recent credit card charge from them for OVER $100 and I most certainly DID NOT order from them as I have already learned that lesson. It took calling my credit card provider and then Parker's to determine that the person responsible for the charge just took an order and put it on customer account without verifying and card number, name, mailing address, etc. Parker's just took down their order, pulled up my account, and charged the full balance. If you are managing accounts and a business this CAN NOT HAPPEN! There is no excuse at all. Parker's will never see another cent from me and I will absolutely go out of my way to discourage consumers from using their product and services. I would truly recommend going home on Valentine's Day empty handed before going to buy "flowers" from Parker's. read more

I recently purchased Mothers Day flowers online to send to my mother in law. We live out of town so I appreciated the online ordering options, the visuals, and the ease of the online store (also...more cost efficient than flowers.com). The only bummer of the experience was the first available delivery was the Monday after Mother's Day (which was understandable given that I ordered the flowers late in the week). BUT TO MY SURPRISE, I got a call within 24 hours of ordering where the flower shop offered to deliver the flowers on Saturday, the day before Mother's day. I am very upset with this florist. Ordered flowers for a Grand Opening occasion and was embarassed when I saw what was delivered. For the price, I really expected something nice and certainly more than a sickly looking Peace Lily. My husband ordered a $70 bouquet of flowers from the FTD website, with the order carried out by Parker's Florist. When the flowers arrived they were awful- nothing like the FTD website advertised. The flowers were much smaller than advertised, there were broken stems, cheap filler flowers, a cheap vase, and a tacky looking ribbon (all which was totally different from the FTD website). Honestly, it looked like the $5.99 manager's special you could pick up at a grocery store on the way home. I wish Hubby had saved the $65 and done just that! I'm also entering a complaint with FTD so they know that Parker's screwed up so badly. read more

I have done business with Parker's for years. They have always done their best to provide me with exactly what I need. They have also gone out of their way to make sure deliveries were timely. On the rare occasion that I had a question, it was addressed quickly. They have even called me to make sure that the delivery was made properly. I believe that they want to do a very good job for their customers and have been very happy with their service. If anyone has a problem, I believe that they will make it right if you simply bring it to their attention. They are a well-intentioned business. read more

I ordered the FTD Your Special Bouquet for a friend in the hospital. I went to Parker Florist to pick them up so I could deliver them myself. I had ordered the Better size which cost me $59.99 plus tax. I was very disappointed in the arrangement as it most definitely was Not worth the $59.99 plus tax that I paid for it! The flowers/arrangement were much smaller than shown on Parker's website and the flowers were crammed into the vase. If I had purchased just the flowers at one of the local grocery stores my cost would have been around $10.00 or less. I mentioned my disappointed to the lady who helped me and she explained to me that the pictures on their website are shown larger than the actual size. A friend of mine received flowers from here that her daughters ordered for her Birthday. The girls always send her the most beautiful flowers every year. Well not this year.....I found out they paid $60 or $70 dollars for the most pitiful arrangement I have ever seen. They called about it and the company representative said something like the pics on the site show bigger! What! They said they would refund her money. (Which is not on the credit card yet) Now for the clincher...... Parker's actually called my friend (the Birthday Girl) and asked if she had the flowers here a work, she said yes, they told her they were coming to pick them up! Can you believe they sent their Driver after she had the flowers 3 days to pick them up from the Birthday recipient! I have never heard of a florist calling someone who received the flowers and repo them! What part of the "customer is always right" does this company not understand. First of all I'm torn to write this review. I was so happy with the lady who took my order. She listened to what I wanted and she was very accommodating. The wrist corsage I ordered was beautiful. When I picked up the corsage late on Friday night (just before they closed) I didn't notice that the corsage had been oriented on the wrist band perpendicular to the wearers arm. BIG BLUNDER! I did not want to work on the corsage for fear of destroying it, and besides that, corsages at Parkers are VERY HIGH PRICED! For the premium price, I certainly felt that they should fix the mistake. I took the corsage back to them first thing on Saturday morning and showed them the problem. The man who works there had a pleasant but surprised look on his face when I showed him the awkward wrist corsage. As he was starting to help me a loud mouth woman working on flowers said "that's not a mistake! I did it on purpose" I asked "why, because its terribly awkward to have a corsage hanging off both sides of your wrist.... and besides that, it's not symmetrically designed for that kind of presentation." She yells out, " I can orient them either way and I chose to do it that way." I told her that I was not happy and that the corsage was not going to look right, or wear well at all hanging perpendicular to the wrist. She refused to fix the corsage, and since I had already paid the day before, I was screwed. The man tried to manually twist the corsage into proper position but that didn't really work as it quickly slipped back the wrong way. The loud mouth woman was rude and lost a customer forever. No wonder Parker Florist has a bad rating. There is a nice woman working in there but letting the loud mouth woman refuse to fix shabby work is not working to their benefit. I have looked at hundreds of corsages recently both in person and on the Internet, and not a single one is made the way she made it for me. The weird corsage should have only been made that way if I had specially ordered the awkward orientation. I ended up cutting the corsage off the wristband and repositioning it myself. Poor, pathetic business ethics to not fix their mistakes and then to let one loud mouthed, rude woman speak for them all.
