This mall offers a wide variety of stores, a huge food court with diverse dining opportunities. We stopped by Miniso because Tanya was in search of BTB2 toys. As they were shopping in Miniso, I walked the area of the mall that contains Macy's and JC Pennys. Amongst, several other name brand stores. I stopped by one of the Pagoda jewelry kiosks. The 10kt gold hoops were calling my name but I didn't make a purchase. The sales associate wasn't pushy or rude. I really appreciated that. I walked into a few more stores. Forever 21, Aeropostale, American Eagle, Bath & Body Works, & Ulta Beauty. The food court offers Hammy's Smash Burgers, BJ's Restaurant, Wetzel's Pretzel's, Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar, Baskin Robins & Lot's of Boba spots. This is just to name a few. You could actually spend a few hours here and loose track of time. I'll definitely be back in soon.

The biggest issue I have with the mall is that you have to walk through JC Penny just to get through the other side of the mall. Not sure if that issue can/will be addressed with the renovation.... I noticed today that the signs point people to the restrooms, yet when you reach them you find the signs that say closed for renovation... no other sign that pointed to the temp baths on the door. Also, I am all about freedom of religion the Muslims had tables set up. Pretty sure this was OKd by mall management. Perfectly fine with this... but to get approached by guys in the mall saying things about Heavenly Mother with no booth or anything shouldn't happen. I had seen zero mall security in this place.

I know someone that worked at Tilly's and they absolutely loved their experience. I've also had great experiences at the theater in the area. I went to Bullard High and would always walk here with my friends after school. Over the years, things have changed a bit, but not for the worse. I frequent Wholefoods and La Boulangerie. Love that Anthropologie was added in the recent years- fits the demographic more than when it was at Fashion Fair. They had a juicery but recently replaced it with Wetezel Pretzel. Uncle Harry's is also back in the mix! Not sure why they ever left this shopping center. There is a little bit of everything here from Sushi to burgers, sandwiches, cookies, ice cream, pizza, brewery, etc. Some things I would love to see added one day: Froyo, North Face, Kate Spade, Free people, crate and barrel, club Monaco or even Zara would be nice. =)

It's nice that I can watch a movie, get something to eat and get dessert. I hope they put more stores in, it would be nice to go shopping while I'm in the area hanging out. The area is kept clean and there are a lot of parking spaces behind both sides of the building. When there are events at the Savemart Center, parking can be very limited and the restaurants can get really busy.

This continues, over the years, to be a lovely little center at Bullard and West. Stores come and…read morego and yet the mix remains good. My favorites in the center are Rosa Lindas and BooBooBean Bakery. The Breakfast House continues its consistent quality of good early day food. Parking is usually very good at this center. There always seems to be plenty and the drivers are usually courteous to one another. The center court with the fountain is a pleasant place to meet friends.

This shopping center used to be beautiful and if you had a great store you wanted to be here. Well…read morenot anymore. The center looks trashy with a pizza banner drilled into the palm trees and a yellow van parked at the entrance to advertise. The center has a slew of signs all over the grounds and the main anchor tent left on the corner of Bullard and West. Why would a new anchor tenant move in when the place looks like swap meet?

There is really almost no reason to actually go INSIDE of this mall, the only businesses that seem…read moreto be open and are available only via the interior are Mi cafecito, a t-shirt store, a record store, a tax preparation company, and a juice/snack stand. All other businesses have either access via an exterior door, or in the case of at least one business, you can ONLY access them through the exterior. (The interior gate was closed and locked) Many of the businesses that were hanging on here have apparently moved, with signs giving you directions to their new address. Even the workforce connection and City of Fresno offices that were here are now closed. A renovation was started next to the Caltrans building, it has drab boring grey carpet and walls, but it makes it MAYBE 175 feet into the building, and then reverts back to the original 70's decor. (Which obviously I love, and I think they should have absolutely kept it.) The lights in the main concourse were mostly turned off, and the only people besides myself seemed to be Caltrans employees walking around on lunch, a homeless man charging his phone, and a dude kicking back on one of the benches, chowing down on slim jim's and listening to music full blast from his phone's speaker. It was really sad to see this place in such a state of abandon, though surprisingly I didn't see any evidence of the ceiling collapsing or any other things you might typically see from buildings in this state. There are supposedly some apartments going in here upstairs, but I see absolutely no evidence of this. It was announced early last year and was supposed to take 18-24 months, but I see absolutely no preparation being done, and I will believe it when I see it. (I would also think twice about renting an apartment in a failing mall, where they are banking on the apartments to bring in more businesses.) All in all, it was an interesting trip just seeing the old mall designs that I loved, but sad to see a mall I loved as a kid so empty and abandoned.

It definitely has softened my expectations on what it plans to be. I hear it may be repurposed for apartments which may be a good idea to bring some life back to the community in that area. It heavily depends on its investors and what corporate agenda lies in the plays it decides to make for the future of this location. I come every 2-3 times a year to see if there's any updates to renovations/storefronts. Other than that, the mall culture is dead there.

The new store is huge! It's been a while coming, and even 2 weeks after the grand opening it was…read moresuper busy when I came in to make a return. There were probably 10 people in line. I was on my way to lunch so I decided to eat first -- when I came back a little bit later it was just as busy, though. I had a quick browse and they have a good selection, lots of stuff in both the ladies and mens sections. The only thing that I found a bit lacking were the color options, particularly in the leggings department. An employee did stop and ask how I was getting on while I browsed. The wait in line was quite long, probably 15 minutes, so if you're short on time it'd be best not to come on a Saturday at lunchtime. I didn't mind the wait too much except for the Mirror display (their work-out product) - which kind of yells at everyone as they come in the store and was quite tiresome to hear repeatedly while in line. Oh, and there are about a million opportunities to impulse buy accessories in line - you have been warned! I've had good experiences at this store in the past, they've always been friendly, which I think is pretty vital when their wares are sold at a premium. I usually shop online since I know my sizing and it's easy to see if they have the colors and sizes I'm looking for in stock. That means I end up mostly returning things to this store rather than shopping here. They've always been friendly and quick with returns. My most recent was a debit card refund and the money loaded onto my account right away. I've also had success with their order to pick-up. I was in a hurry to get a new yoga mat awhile back and I liked that I was able to see what they had in stock from the website, order, and collect it a couple of hours later. I've noticed that Lululemon also has good relationships with many of the yoga instructors around town -- of course it's partly marketing, but it makes the place feel accessible. It's great to see them collaborating with local instructors and studios and making an effort to be part of those communities. All in, nice store, I'm glad we have it.
