You need to climb a flight of stairs to get to the registration desk but they have a mirror looking down the stairs so someone came down to help us lug up our luggage. The staff was lovely and extremely helpful. The rooms are all located along an open air hallway with arch ways and wrought iron railings. You can pull up in front of the hotel but there's no long term parking so the most convenient place to park is the Hauptplatz TiefGarage located off the 129. Since there were 3 of us we had a room with a queen sized bed (actually 2 twins pushed together which is pretty typical in Austria) and a sofa that converted to a twin. The beds were comfortable but could have used more or firmer pillows. If you're looking for higher end toiletries, you'd better bring your own because you get the bare minimum. A fairly typical breakfast is included with the room. There was yogurt, cereals, different kinds of fruit, Straud Jams, cold cuts, cheeses, soft boiled eggs and an amazing assortment of breads. There was an assortment of teas, regular drip coffee and a machine that ground your beans and brewed your espresso or cappuccino for you.

This year we decided to bring our grown daughter to experience Linz and Germany. The hotel is eloquent, charming, clean, superb service, and has a delicious breakfast each morning. We wanted to be in the center of Linz, for easy access to shops and restaurants. Hotel Wolfinger was everything and more during our stay. Bathrooms are updated, large and extremely clean. We enjoyed everyday, felt at home, and appreciated the staffs kind words of direction if we asked. The rooms were decent: the heat worked like a charm when cranked right! The bathroom was clean. Lots of towels and no issue with the TV set not working. A bit pricy but there were great views of snowy Linz, Austria in the early morning. After traveling all day we found the restaurant could not serve us food because the staff was taking care of a party. We asked if we order food out to bring in but we were not allowed to bring outside food into the bar area. No consideration for travelers. Courtyard, less than a mile away was fantastic!!
