We were pleasantly surprised to find the town celebrating its Homecoming Festival. The streets were closed, bands were playing, and the entire atmosphere was lively and so much fun. The patio had about a one-hour wait, so we opted for the first available seating in the bar area, and it turned out to be a great choice. The service was friendly and attentive, and everyone in our group thoroughly enjoyed their meals. I ordered the Chicken Milanese, and it was absolutely delicious. The portion was very generous, and the chicken was perfectly cooked--moist, tender, and full of flavor. It was served with creamy garlic mashed potatoes and a fresh green salad, making for a fantastic meal. Between the delicious food, excellent service, and the unexpected festival atmosphere, this was a memorable dining experience. I would definitely recommend Pour on Center and look forward to returning! **Everywhere I go, I bring my Yeti filled with reverse osmosis water. At this restaurant, I was asked to remove it from the table because they don't allow outside beverages. This is only the second restaurant I've ever visited that has had this policy, so I just wanted to give others a heads-up. If you usually bring your own water like I do, you may want to leave it in the car.

The tacos were all excellent that I was able to try, and while the $5.00 portion of chips and guacamole was outstanding, the guac had started to oxidize a pretty decent amount. The rest of my family all enjoyed their meals, but there was a slight hiccup with my son's meal coming out well after ours (as opposed to first, as you'd expect with a toddler). But overall, can't complain much at all, and it is definitely a spot I'd visit again, especially to try some of their beer!

After which she started a tab, as usual. The owner/bartender then after running around doing other things came behind the bar. Very rudely I could hear him asking the waitress who I was and if I was O.K. She said yes and after sitting awhile waiting to order another drink, he finally gave me one. He then said my pizza was done and closed my tab out. Two beers and a large pizza. Since I was talking to other patrons, I ordered another beer and paid cash for it. He took the $2.75 for the beer but never gave it to me. I finished the beer I had and then asked for the one I paid for. He said he already gave it to me and the thru a baby tantrum and banged his hand off the counter yelling explicit words and names toward me. He then went to the Kitchen and grabbed my pizza throwing it at me still calling me the explicit names. I told him to check his cameras and he would see his mistake. Instead, he still kept calling me names as I left. I returned home to kids wanting some pizza only to find the pizza inedible due to what appeared to be several wads of spit on my pizza. Needless to say, I had to throw the pizza away and order another one from a different pizza shop. So, my adventure to try the new owners out, not only cost me getting ripped off the price of the beer and being called explicit names, I then had the cash loss off the spit pizza and had to waist time and gas to get another one from elsewhere.

The Boxcar restaurant, with its glowing reviews, was the first place that caught my eye. As I walked in, I immediately noticed the unique charm of this small Appalachian town in western PA.I decided to try their bacon cheeseburger, which came with the option of fries and, to my delight, they served Coke products. I ordered a Diet Coke to go with my meal. My companion opted for the Reuben and couldn't stop complimenting the food.Aside from the delicious food, I was impressed by the friendliness of the staff and how quickly they served us. In an era where dining out can be prohibitively expensive, the prices at the Boxcar were surprisingly reasonable. My burger cost just nine dollars, and with my drink, I spent a total of 11 bucks. It was a fantastic value for a satisfying lunch. If you ever find yourself in Lillie and in need of a bite to eat, I highly recommend the Boxcar restaurant. But we decided to not spend more time for finding something else and stepped in. It was very charming, surprisingly well kept,of course old,but in a good way. Menu was intriguing, modern and seasonal, which I value the most. Waiter was engaging in our menu exploration and was knowledgeable. Now to the food.. cauliflower appetizer made as General Tso was one other best cauliflower in my entire life. Lightly fried, not mushy, but with exact chicken like texture in divine sauce, kicking spicy with sweet undertones. In the same way not overpowering to forget about cauliflower itself. A+ for that dish!!! Pirogi was a little doughy on my opinion, but taste was good. Asian bowl with salmon had great flavor profile: cabbage salad was beautiful and freshly crisp, carrots were marinated perfectly with slight vinegary flavors, bok choy was unbelievably delicious. I asked for medium salmon, mine was almost well done, but taste was good and rice in the middle wasn't sticky and flavorful, but had watery texture and was bland. Overall, this is an amazing festival of flavors and technically challenging menu. Bravo!!!
