I had the best time shopping here. I went on $1.50 day and only spent $30. There is so much to see here. You have to give yourself time to shop. For it to be as big as it is, things were very neat and orderly. Everyone had full carts and I wish I had more time to shop. They have clothing, of course, shoes, toys, and household items. There are items here with tags still on it too. The cashiers work really fast and get you through the line quickly. There is something for everyone here. Everything in the store is one price, based on which day of the week you visit (i.e $1.75 on Sat). If you're looking for a well organize shipping experience, this isn't it. You have to plan ahead and give yourself plenty of time to shop and search. If you do, it'll be worth your time. I LOVE Park Ave, but I am not a fan of this outlet location. First, there was absolutely no organization to the clothes as with their non-outlet locations. Everything was mixed up with everything. Then the customer service was horrible. I guess I can't expect wonderful customer service for a thrift store, but then again, why the hell not? I always get confused on when places want me to take the hangers off vs. when they don't mind if I leave them on upon check-out. There was a big hanger stand next to me in line, but there was no sign...I had no clue whether that was for me or the employees. While I'm still in line, the cashier yells "You we're supposed to take the hangers off". I'm like girl , I'm still in line, I can still take the hangers off. It's not a problem. Once I was done with my task and ready for checkout, the other open cashier just stares...and I'm staring and finally I'm like "Are you ready for me? and she says yes........... I won't be back, I don't care how good their daily deals are. After I left here, I went to their nearby non-outlet location and the shopping experience was way better. This was my first time at their outlet location and from now on, I'll stick with what I'm used to. read more

Ok, some of the negative reviews of this location arent taking into account that this location is the OUTLET for all the other Park Avenue Thrift stores. What can you expect from the "Outlet" for a chain of thrift stores? Many of the clothes here are unusual colors or several years out of date. That is to be expected. The grossest thrift store I've ever been to. You walk in and the musty moldy smell smacks you in the face. If you can get past the smell, you'll find lots of clothes, shoes, purses or blankets this is the store for you. If you are looking for home items or books, go down the street to goodwill. Be sure to check all items before buying. I found a Halloween costume that looked great until I further inspected bc it was musty (I didn't know if it was the store or the item) and found it had mold growing on it. It probably did not occur at the thrift store, BUT they certainly did not inspect it before putting it on the sales floor. read more

This store has been affectionately nicknamed "Thrift Store from Hell". When I and anyone else I know mentions it, this is what we call it. We all know exactly which store the person is referring to. With that said, it is a little better than it was. But things that can be done to make it better are: 1. create a bigger area for sorting clothes and removing hangers, or stop asking us to remove the hangers. 2. Do not run Z racks up and down the aisle while it is full of customers... eventually, you are going to injure someone badly and get sued. 3. Fix the ceiling leak so the aisle below it is not closed off... you have made an entire aisle off limits. 4. Teach employess to say "excuse me" then wait 3 seconds to give people a cahnce to move instead of just running them over. read more

I have been to this new location a couple times now. Further away for me from the old location of the outlet, so that kinda sucks. The outlet is focused on clothing and not the home goods. Prices change by day. A friend had previously gone to the 25 cent sale (though at their old location) and said it was crazy. I wanted to avoid rush hour so I left a bit later in the day. I was worried that there would be nothing to be had. However, I found quite a bit. I mean, 25 cents!!! There were still lots of folks shopping, but not as bad as I thought it would be. Not sure what it would be like at 8am. But that's time doesn't work for me. No dressing rooms here. But there is a mirror and you will find ladies camped out there trying on stuff. Best advice- wear something you can easily slip items over. I typically opt for leggings and a tank. Or you could go for a skirt and slip bottoms underneath. read more

I love coming here and digging for a bounty of fantastic deals. But, I warn you dig is the key term; all sizes are mixed together, only separated by gender. But, within these racks you will find plenty of new to lightly used clothing items from Macy's, Gap, Cato, Lane Bryant, Avenue, Old Navy, Liz Claiborne, and every major brand in-between. The best part the price; depending upon what day you stop by you will pay as low as .50 to $2.00 per item. That includes the stunning black leather jacket I scored for .75 one day. I love this thrift store, but it's not for the faint of heart. It's for true, die hard thrift store shoppers. Thursday is their 1st day if the week. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, is $2.25, this includes furniture. It goes down in price each day of the week. Friday $2.00, Saturday $1.75, Sunday $1.50, Monday $1.00, Tuesday $.50, and Wednesday $0.25. Wednesdays and Thursdays are CRAZY!!! The selection is very slim on Wednesday and the people are nuts! But you can find some good things if you're up for a fight. There are not enough carts for everyone, so be prepared by bringing a big bag (like an Ikea blue bag) to carry your finds. The store is organized on Thursday, but gets less that way as the week progresses. This is due to the customers, as well as, the employees start condensing the store down into a smaller area and preparing to empty the store after 1:00 on Wednesday when they close to prepare for Thursday. On Thursday you are competing with the resalers, and they are savage. They haven't even finished putting everything out by Thursday morning, so sometimes Friday is just as good, but everyone has their favorite time to go. Good luck!! read more

OK. If you're a thrifter anywhere near Atlanta, you needs get on down....or up, to Park Avenue thrift. There are several locations across the metro area. However, my preference is this locations, one of the several Outlets. You can haul something major here. Every Thursday they get new inventory. On that day everything is $2. Daily it decreases in price by $.25. (Except on monday, it goes down a whole $.50 from Sunday ---- $.75) Until on Wednesday everything is $.25!!!!! I literally bought a trunkful of stuff for $6.50! Like any thrift store, you wade through the junk. There are many gems though I've found brand new pieces, elaborate dresses and even a gray wool Empire-style peacoat for $.50! If you decide to come on Wednesday, hours are from 8-1. But you better be in line bright and early, wear something light with pockets, no or small purse and be ready t run. It's packed and manners fly out the window. As you can imagine, it's the cheapest day, so everything will go fast. It's rare that anything good will even last until 1pm when they close. So get there EARLY!! I did Wed. once. But I prefer Tuesday. Only and extra quarter and the crowd is way less dense and vicious. Still an awesome deal! read more

I have tried so hard to like this place, I promise! With prices better than Goodwill, its tempting to come here. I've tried different days of the week (they close early on Wednesday's, so new stuff is out every Thursday) and different times of the day. I always leave empty handed and sweaty. Yes, sweaty! They need to fix their AC. The final nail in the coffin? Yelled at by the cashiers to leave at 8:45pm because they were closed. Door says they close at 9pm. Guess they were tired, but still! And ladies, you have an intercom system...USE IT. Don't scream across the room to "get out, we're closed" to your customers. Its rude and makes you look bad. Not coming back. read more

Please, please, please fix the smell!!!!!! I have shopped here for years and, yes it is dirty, yes it is messy, but for the past two months IT SMELLS. I realize that there was a leak to be fixed but after a few weeks you would think the smell would have dissipated. It cannot be healthy for your employees. I have been a loyal customer for years at all the Park Avenue store locations. Today was the final straw at the outlet located in Lawrenceville. This store is filthy, and a health hazard! There is an odor that has been prevalent for about a month. It smells like strong urine, it will take your breath away as soon as you walk in the front door & now there are shoppers that are wearing masks while shopping. I asked one of the associates what the smell was and she said it was dead rats in the ceiling?? As of today, there are leaks in the ceiling and the ceilings were falling down on the floor. The employees had these areas roped off with men's ties, however there are leaks in the ceiling all over and as you are shopping you are getting leaked on! There is only one mirror for shoppers to share to try on clothes, not sure what happened to the other mirror. There are a certain group of power shoppers that are there every week that gets to go through the baskets of shoes & purses before they are on the floor. I personally feel the employees are getting some type of kick back from these shoppers. Management also allows them to go in back to the racks, carts & basket & allows these shoppers to take the cart & baskets to the floor to put up merchandise, so they get first pick of the merchandise and if you are not part of this group, they are rude & intimidating to the other shoppers & feel that they have the upper hand! Someone needs to Manage this store properly & get it operating properly! read more

I think the workers here find the raggiest clothes an sell them .I've been coming here for a while and its getting worse and worse each visit.I have no doubt they keep the good stuff for themselves.You in the heart of lawrenceville,and No Victoria secret pink ever in this store,people literally give away everything but some things you will never d in thissyore.The cashiers are extremely rude and impatient. They need new one that match all the customers that shop there.These people even called the police on a lady just for going in an area she didn't know she should have .(it was only her second time visiting) all be cause she was asking why she had to give up all the items in her buggy just for going in an are.5 of the swarmed on her the rudest one was the aggressor , the employee grabbed her buggy and was talking really loud- but when she talk to her people she spoke Spanish so the lady wouldn't understand. Told her to wait there they all.left. the customer thought they were going to get the manager so she could talk to her.These fools called the police on the lady for 25cent shoes to have her escorted off the premises..not the store. YES they weaponized the police against another person of color smh .My daughter saw what happened and left all her stuff and said she would never patronize a place that does that over some used stuff you got for FREE as a business. that was a paying customer who's patronage didn't matter. read more

I finally decided to make the long drive to this store in hopes of finding good,quality pieces to resell. Waste of time, energy, and gas!! I expected no frills, but this store was dull and lifeless---no incentive whatsoever to shop. The clothes were thrift store rejects; dull and colorless---ugh!! Today (2/2/2016) around 2:00PM, when I was going to the check out line, someone threw some shoes on the floor and the your employee, I assume the cashier supervisor, very unprofessionally accused me of throwing the shoes. I was standing at a mirror that was near the check out and talking with another customer. My shoe size 5 too small; I don't buy shoes there. The attitude this employee displayed was totally rude, no respect. I go there regularly and enjoy shopping there for the bargains. I don't expect to be accosted by the staff there with unfounded accusations like this. The shoes she claimed I tossed on the floor were far to big for me to even consider and she could clearly see that. The other customer I was chatting with at the time also told her I had not thrown any shoes but she still insisted I had. Totally unacceptable behavior. I was seriously offended. read more
