The driver of Bus 2602 refused service to a homeless man in a wheelchair who cannot speak or walk. This man has been seen daily for nearly two weeks--he is peaceful, clean, and causes no harm to anyone. The driver flat out denied him access and left him stranded -- fully visible to everyone on the bus. This is a clear violation of ADA law, civil rights, and basic human decency. To make matters worse, the driver is operating the bus at freezing temperatures with no regard for the passengers who are shivering, while he sits isolated in his personal climate bubble. He has absolutely no care or concern for public comfort or dignity. This driver should be immediately terminated and investigated for discrimination and failure to follow MTS policy and federal ADA regulations. His behavior reflects poorly on the entire MTS system. Complaint filed: Ref# 427-397-841 Formal Complaint to San Diego MTS (For Internal Submission) Subject: ADA Violation, Driver Misconduct - Bus 2602 (June 13, 2025) To MTS Management, I am submitting a formal report regarding a disturbing incident that occurred on Bus 2602. The operator refused boarding to a disabled, non-verbal man in a wheelchair who has been peacefully present in this area for weeks. He does not pose any threat, is clean, and has previously ridden the bus without issue. The driver violated ADA regulations by denying him public transit access and left him stranded at the stop. This is not only illegal, it is inhumane. Furthermore, the driver has the bus climate system set at dangerously cold levels, ignoring repeated discomfort expressed by passengers. His disregard for both public service and public safety demonstrates a complete failure of duty. Immediate termination and investigation are warranted. With the many Trolley stations that I have come across with the many new stations and the ones which have started the many programs with having artists come and paint murals that are not graffiti. The many years that Massachusetts Transit Center has been in operation there were many stations just grey color there were others that were left with no colors and the atmosphere it not inviting. With the many stations which have let an artist group to come in and create many murals at the many stations along the Orange Line with the many stations which are in the Lemon Grove and the Euclid Trolley Station. This is one of the best programs to have paid artist group to come in and add color to the many stations which some of the stations just have shrubbery and trees. With the Massachusetts Street Station that is one of the best and one that has some of the best color and the creative style has gone beyond the limits and the style is far beyond any graffiti tag. The second level of the parking lot when you come to the station you can see the mural when you get off the trolley its one of the best with the many other stations, they have done has brought color to the stations and to catch the feel of the Trolley Stations. I had asked the artists they had told me the piece was over several months to complete with having to most of the work at night and doing the many sections during the days. I have seen many large paintings and the murals that are in museums this one piece was done and he many sections were done by brush, and some of the sections were done by airbrush. To see a Trolley Station get turned into a art museum and the piece that I had viewed is one of the best how could most people finish in one day, yet the artist group took several months to create the one large wall that spans the whole wall from oner end to the other. The limited access and sporadic timing does make it sometimes inconvenient to use as reliable transportation. However the new cars are really nice and they even have heating/ac so you can escape the weather. This station is pretty central on the green line. The biggest issue is parking since there is no long term parking at all. A few of the stations allow all day or at least longer then a hour parking. That is not the case here. The good points are there is a little store right at the station along with a bar and a coffee shop.

The Grantville Station is located over near the many hotels and the car dealerships with the bus#88 and the bus #13 that takes you over to the areas of the Camino Del Rio south and the Old Town Trolley Station. With the Bus #13 that services the many areas of the National City 24th street trolley center which connects with the Euclid Transit and trolley Center. Grantville is one of the oldest communities in San Diego and the State of Calif the first European settlement that was organized in the year 1769. Yes, Grantville serves a very vital part of the valley and also has the great history to know of the valley and the connections that it has to the connections of Old Town and the City area of Tecolote. Being on the trolley and taking the day and getting a look about to see the many areas when you don't have a lot of money what else can you do. Traveling the buses and the trolleys on the of a Senior Disabled Bus pass with many people they take to the freeways and the long lines of traffic with worst drivers are not fun for most. The San Diego Transit station is becoming more crowded and with the many businesses of the valley the only thing you can do is build a bigger transit bus connection zone at Grantville.
