DON'T GO THERE! DON'T USE THIS COMPANY! We liked their web portal because we could search and filter for those things that were important to us. In our case, location, air condition etc. We filled out the application for the unit, and were contacted to state that we had been "approved". They advised us to log into the portal, create an account, and make our deposit. We did so. We wired the money to them. It included 50% of the first month's rent and the agency fees. Several days later, I received an automated email from the portal. It said that the final amount of payment was due. I hadn't seen a lease or received confirmation that they had received my initial funds. I asked them to send the lease to me, so I could review it. When it came, it was a year's lease. We only needed 2 months! When I brought this to their attention, they suggested I sign an addendum (in addition to the lease) for early termination. I did so, and sent it to them. Two days later, I get an urgent message from the agent that says our full payment is due. I advised that, according to the lease, final payment wasn't due until 2 weeks before occupancy. I never heard from the agent again. After about a week of "radio silence" from Leslie, I checked the portal and saw that there was NOTHING in the portal for me - not the lease I signed, or any indication that I had sent them over $3K US as a deposit. I immediately thought I had been scammed. I called their office, and was advised that "Leslie" was on vacation, but I could communicate with Kateryna. Apparently, because I didn't send them the full amount before it was actually due - my application for the unit I requested was rejected. She suggested several other units that were double our budget! I asked them for a refund. They obliged, but took about a week to do it. Their refund was about $300 short of what I initially sent them. I consider my experience with them an expensive lesson - and have moved on. But I will warn you - the transaction wasn't smooth, and their business practices are questionable. Accepting full payment before seeing a signed lease is crazy. read more

I spent a lot time to get an apt with Paris attitude but at the end I refused. First off, I spent 3 months to schedule appointments to view appointments. They don't update their listings. At the end, I viewed 4 apartments and only the last one was clean. All the rest are small , dirty , over price. The last one was nice but here is the story. Paris attitude sent me the contact. I asked my friends to reviewed it. Paris attitude did not mentioned I will need to rent it as second home and need to very high housing tax if you live there on Jan 1. When I asked about return deposit , they did not mentioned the rules and it is from the landlord. There is not agreement between landlord and tenant on when you will get the deposit back. As for cancellation of rental, there is no protection . There is no compensation and the agent may find you another one. If there is a flood, the agent says you won't get the insurance policy until you pay. About rental agency fee , it is one month for a year rental as it a second home. I include some emails they sent me and I think the agent tried to hide information. They work for the owner to get high rent and higher agency fee. read more

At the end the apartment manager checked the condition of our apartment and declared we will get our deposit returned to us within a month or so. However, it has now been 6 months and we have not received our deposit (of roughly $10,000). Do NOT use this agency. They will find any possible way to cheat you out of your money and provide little to no assistance after you sign your lease. My landlord has been great, but Paris Attitude is a complete scam and many would agree. DO NOT USE. My apartment was in a severe sewage flooding for 4 days to the point where many of my personal belongings were damaged and I had to be relocated for 2 months while my landlord repaired the apartment. When I emailed Paris Attitude to let them know of the flooding, not once did they offer any relocation services, ask if I was OK or needed any assistance. They are not concerned about tenants WHATSOEVER. They would not respond to emails while I was in an absolute crisis with nowhere to stay in a foreign county. Before the flooding I had extended my lease for 1 year at my apartment because I liked the place so much and my landlord was great. Paris Attitude charged me another 2080 euros as an "agency" fee to renew my lease (on top of the original contract fee of 2080 euros). After the flooding, my apartment was under construction for 2 months and given the horrible experience I had with Paris Attitude in a time of crisis, I decided I no longer felt comfortable staying and renewing my lease for the next year (5 months before my lease was so renew). They are penalizing me and making me pay the "agency" fee for the following year when they have not once responded to an email, visited the apartment or provided ANY service for the "agency" fee. Horrible rental "agency" (if you could call it that), they will figure out any way to rip you off that they can while providing no service in return. BEWARE!! DEPOSITS DEDUCTED AT THE OWNERS' WHIM!! I wish I saw the other reviews regarding deposits before I rented an apartment through Paris Attitude. They deducted money from my deposit without providing any explanation. After I emailed them multiple times for an explanation and over 3 months later, they sent a bill that is suspiciously exactly 1000 euros, showing that the owner fixed some things that were already worn-out. Paris Attitude then assured me there is nothing legally wrong with this. I wish I could tell everyone to avoid Paris Attitude. This seems to be an unreliable and unethical company. EDIT: reply to Laura I am impressed by how quickly Paris Attitude replies to negative yelp comments compared to my emails. Also, Laura's reply is inaccurate and disingenuous: First, the pictures before and after did not show any noticeable difference and the form stated that the house looks sufficiently clean. The agent who checked over the apartment for over an hour said that everything was in good condition. There were some after photos that did not have corresponding before photos (advice to renters: take lots of before photos yourself). Also, as I mentioned, a single bill for repair---painting the old window sills, replacing shower seals, installing a tower rack (absolutely no justifiable reason why I should pay for this), and other charges---came out to exactly 1000 euros plus 100 tax. Then they charged me an additional 97.50 for cleaning sheets, which I had already done. I moved out on April 10th. The deposit was returned in May with deductions without any explanation. The bills were only sent to me on July 5th, after multiple inquires on my part. I have rented several short term appartments in Paris and this was by far the worst experience. I am not one to bother writing reviews but the service I paid for was so shockingly poor that I feel the need to share. Communication with the agent prior to renting the appartment was a real struggle. She was unclear, rude and it was difficult to get answers to my questions which I had to repeat several times. To top it off my credit card was randomly charged without my authorisation and it took several days to receive a refund. No compensation for the massive inconvenience was offered. There is no one to escalate issues to. If you have fill in the complaint form online you are just redirected back to the agent. Which begs the question why the forms exist in the first place. Avoid at all costs and use other smaller agencies. read more

DO PAY ATTENTION TO REVIEWS THAT TALK ABOUT NOT RECEIVING BACK THE DPOSIT! It's been 2 months since I moved out of the apartment and I am yet to see my deposit. When you sign the contract for the apartment, you are asked to pay rent and deposit on ParisAttitude website, which makes you assume that they are going to be the ones responsible for refunding deposit back to you. This is not at all the case! Your deposit is released to the landlord, who is then responsible for refunding it back to you. I have made it known to Paris Attitude that my deposit has not been returned to me and asked for assistance. They tried to contact landlord a few times to no avail. In the end, they told me to get a lawyer or file a complaint to some government organisation. To make matters worse, they refused to take down this landlord's listing from their website (see attached screenshot). There's a common theme here where Paris attitude withholds security deposits for outlandish and illegal reasons. This agency is obviously not for the tenants and continues to scam tenants out of their money. In my situation, my roommate and I are American college students living on our own in Paris. Within the first few months of renting from Paris Attitude we noticed mushrooms growing from our bathroom. We immediately contacted our landlord and the agency and the response we got was to scrape it off ourselves? Obviously if there's mushrooms growing from the bathroom there's a larger problem here. Eventually after weeks we were able to get a plumber sent to our apartment. He immediately found the problem where there was a leak behind the washer that had spread from the kitchen to the bathroom, to my roommates room. He was pulling out mushrooms from behind the sink by the handfuls. He stated that this apartment by the amount of mold that was in there was not good for our health. By this point my roommate and I had been sick for a month and when i returned to America the doctor said i had been suffering from an upper respiratory infection caused by the mold. Paris attitude did offer to relocate us but only sent us a expensive apartments out of our price range by far and then tried to charge us again for the agency fee again. When we argued against that they offered us a small discount of like 10%, gee thanks. We shouldn't not pay for an issue that is not our fault. After everything with them, you can imagine we did not want to rent from them again and just wanted our money back and to be out of that apartment ASAP. After this debate communication ceased, they barely responded and if they did it would be weeks apart or I would have to call the front desk and beg the lady to tell the agents to respond. We finally got to them to agree to a check out on Feb. 1st via email but when we called they said there was no such checkout in the system and our place was still booked. Turns out the agent Silvana who is in customer service never processed our checkout as promised and never communicated to the landlord because the landlord stated we had an improper checkout even though we had Paris Attitude come check us out and the paperwork was filed. Silvana also never helped with the situation whatsoever. Even though it's her job. I called her multiple times. Sent multiple emails. I think she responded like once in the 3 months we have been dealing with this. When we moved out the landlord said she was going to withhold our whole security deposit which is two months rent because it is furnished. The landlord falsely claimed that we left a splinter in the walls and a mark on the molding of the floor. We left that apartment immaculate (we only lived there for 4 months). Even if there was small mark on the wall and the floor how is that enough to withhold 2,500 euros? are you kidding me. Now they have re-listed the apartment on Paris Attitude. Our neighbors in the building are aware of the situation and the mold and they have stated that no one has come in to the apartment to do repairs. We have not gotten a response from them in over a month. We are both young college students who have found our hard earned money stolen from us and displaced without a home in a foreign country. They have taken so much money from us in total our deposit was €5000, €2500 each, that I can not afford to get another place. They are aware of our situation and we have gotten no response. It took more than the 24-hour time frame to respond to our rental request for one of their 'exclusive' listings.. after about a week, several emails, and a phone call, they accepted our request for a month+ rental, they sent a proposal and asked for our documents. We sent them with no response. After several emails, uploading of requested identity documents and phone calls our personal advisor, Frédéric, emailed to say that the apartment was no longer available. Despite other reviews, communication is NOT quick. The rental process itself is rather daunting - it can be difficult at times to find a responsive agent there. Last year I had no luck with them but this year the communication improved and I finally booked the rental. Now, the only remaining business will be the return of my security deposit and refund of an overpayment I made during a currency transfer. The apartment is lovely - perfect, and I think I will be very happy here for the month. I appreciate how clean and organized things are, too. The check-in was disappointing. I expected to meet someone familiar with the apartment and the area, but Paris Attitude contracts with a company just to report on condition of the place - not to familiarize the tenants with anything in the apartment or the area. The process took over an hour for the agent to complete, so I took the time to start unpacking. PLEASE SEE PARAGRAPH REGARDING SECURITY DEPOSITS!! We rented an apartment for six months through this agency. Our agent, Neda, was very helpful and the rental contract process was very straightforward. The apartment was lovely and our experience dealing with the agency and owners throughout the six months was easy until we reached the point when our security deposit should have been returned, normally a fairly simple exchange. Be aware that Paris Attitude transfers the security deposit to the owner of the apartment unless they (Paris Attitude) performs the check-in and check-out procedures (this is at the option of the owner, you have no choice in the matter). We left our apartment mid-March, and it has taken almost three months for our security deposit to be returned. This after the mandatory waiting period of 30 days and then only with a concerted effort by a Paris Attitude representative to reach the owners and "negotiate" a return of our deposit (they would not respond to my emails and phone calls). This had nothing to do with the condition of the apartment upon our vacating the unit, but the owners had used the funds for other expenses... I had to find a furnished apartment in Paris for 3 months. I wanted a nice place close to my friends who live there, but I didn't want to spend a fortune. I checked several other rental agencies and found Paris Attitude had the best selection with a wide range of prices. Within 24 hours I was contacted by Alan A. (I'll not give his full last name to protect his privacy). He was super! Alan always got back to me quickly and sent several suggestions based on my criteria. I also continued to look at the site every day and send possibilities to him to check out. He got back to me within 24 hours every time I sent him a note (except over weekends) on the ones I gave as possibilities. I finally found the perfect place and and signed the contract. A few tips: 1) Keep checking the site daily because new options pop up daily. 2) List the minimum requirements you absolutely want and you will have more options to choose from and many will also have the "extras" you would like anyway! 3) Keep in mind in France the Ground Floor is street level and the1st floor is what Americans call the 2nd floor. 4) If you don't want to drag heavy luggage up and down stairs, be sure you note that you want a building with an elevator. I definitely recommend Paris Attitude and Alan for anyone looking for a place to call home in Paris for a few months or longer! read more

I booked an apartment in Paris for the month of June 2020 and when the COVID19 hit France the government banned travel to Paris and Delta canceled my flight. Paris attitude not only refused to refund my deposit they kept the entire booking fee and only offered me a 10 % reduction on fees if I booked again with them again in the future. Many emails back and forth between myself and Parisattitude were no avail. It did not matter that it was the French government that closed he borders they held fast on their refusal to refund any of my deposit. They are nothing but a bunch of swindlers. The lag in adequate responses is aggravating, and they delay your move-in date so much to money-grab. The negatives outweigh the positives in that while your apartment is furnished, you're constantly grappling with the representatives who don't respond and overcharge. They had me start my lease toward the end of the month so they can charge me for a few extra days in ADDITION to a monthly rent. They know exactly how to rob you of money. read more

My husband and I (neither of us French speakers) rented through Paris Attitude for 3 months during spring 2022. Overall, the experience was bad. Communication with the agency about payment before we moved in was confusing. Then once we were in the apartment, things got worse. We had two appliances (bathroom light, fridge) break during our stay and the agency was completely unhelpful. Several people I spoke to/emailed with had a condescending tone, and overall the agency wasted a lot of my time. For instance, I was promised an electrician would come fix the bathroom light, and then this got cancelled, I was given no further direction, and when I followed up, someone with a rude tone told me to just get new lightbulbs. (Needless to say, the issue was not that we simply needed new lightbulbs...) We ended up not having any light in the bathroom for two weeks. Paris Attitude also tried to schedule visits to the apartment for future tenants, and kept emailing me about this and saying they'd show up at the apartment in an hour, even though the owner of the apartment said visits shouldn't be happening. The owner of the apartment spoke zero English, even though on the website French and English were both listed as spoken languages (for this apartment). The return of our 1200 euro deposit was a complete mess: the owner somehow wasn't able to make a bank transfer to us (not our fault), so we agreed she would pay us back in cash. Then the night before our move-out date, she announced she'd be giving us a check instead. We weren't able to cash the check for another two months, and overall this was both stressful and simply not what we agreed on. Overall, if you're worried whether Paris Attitude is a scam to the extent that there will be no apartment when you show up in Paris, then I'm happy to say this won't be the case. But beyond that, they're not only not helpful with facilitating the rental process, they actively hinder a timely resolution of issues, they're rude, and they waste clients' time. read more

I rented an apartment through this service from August to December 2023. Over 3 months have passed since I moved out and the landlord has completely stopped answering me and won't pay back my security deposit of 1530€. I have been in contact with the agency numerous times and they have been extremely rude in all our interactions. They refuse to help me and claim no responsibility. They claim that they do not have the "clout" to do something about it, and that they are not an agency like Airbnb. This is ridiculous to me, and a horrible way to run a business. They will not even help me take the proper legal action against the landlord, even after I've paid over 1000€ in agency fees. We rented an apartment via Paris Attitude (on rue Pierre Semard in the 9th) for my daughter and her friend in Paris as they were studying abroad last semester. The apartment was old and had not been thoroughly cleaned (pillows and mattresses were filthy and sheets had hairs all over them - photos taken during pre-inspection) when they moved in and they were constantly having issues. Ex. fan in bathroom did not work so they had to climb up and open the small window to let the steam out. They moved out on May 12 and we have still not had our deposit returned. PA says we were charged 275 Euros for a cleaning company and also 784 Euros by the owner, but we have been provided with no receipts documenting any repairs. We have over 100 emails with no resolution. All answers are "someone will review and get back to you", but we never get a substantive response. We believe the owner used our deposit to prepare the apartment for the Olympics as the only potential damage was to an old bed frame for which we agreed to pay. I strongly urge potential tenants to avoid this company as they will take your deposit and break their fiduciary duty to you. You will have NO legal recourse unless you want to travel to Paris and hire a lawyer. STAY AWAY PLEASE. read more
