After having too much to drink in a bar, there's no other place to get sober than to eat in Pares House in Commonwealth Avenue, Quezon City. With their mouth watering beef pares (their specialty) and the hot soup that comes along with it, your hangover would definitely be cured right away.
The beef pares only costs P99, and it includes garlic rice, the soup and iced tea. It's very affordable considering how good it is. They also have other selections as well, like tapsilog, longsilog, cornsilog, tocilog for just P75. This place does not encourage its customers to stay for a long while because other customers are waiting in line for them to eat there as well. There are only a few tables and mostly it's just the round chair and a long ledge where customers are lined up as they are waiting for their food to be served.
What's good about this joint is that it's open 24/7, so you can go there any time of the day, whether you are craving for some beef pares, or you just want to sober up after having a wild night out with your friends. There's no denying that Pares House has been around for more than 20 years, and I am not surprised since they have good service, unforgettable menu, and of course their affordability. So now you know where to go for some comfort food just when you need it. read more
