After all these years, I can honestly say Ms. Donna Pineda is one of the most wonderful, compassionate, and attentive teachers we could have asked for. She really cares about every single kid who walks through her door, and you can see it in everything she does. The growth we've seen in our son has been tremendous. His speech, his curiosity, his comprehension, the way he understands and talks about his own feelings, how he plays and works with other kids, all of it grew in ways we didn't expect. He left the program ready for kindergarten, sure, but more than that he left confident, independent, and genuinely excited to learn. A lot of that comes down to the curriculum. It's comprehensive, and it lets each kid move at their own pace instead of pushing everyone through the same lesson on the same day. The range of what they cover still surprises me. They've done science units on space and the solar system, dinosaurs, mathematics, learning about different cultures around the world, Spanish Circle for vocabulary, and Little Chefs, which our kids absolutely loved. Our son would come home talking about planets one week and counting everything in the house the next. He picked up Spanish words we didn't even teach him. It's the kind of variety that keeps them curious instead of bored. Donna takes the time to figure out what each student needs, where to challenge them, where to feed their curiosity, and where they just need patience and a little emotional support instead. Our kids also picked up so many everyday skills like cleaning up after themselves, being patient, and working through small problems on their own. We noticed it at home right away. The environment is safe and warm, and Donna is extremely communicative. We always knew how our kids' days went, what they were working on, and what we could do at home to help. As a parent, that kind of consistent, open communication means a lot. The group is small on purpose, so the kids get real attention and the families actually get to know each other. We've built lasting relationships with the teachers and with the other parents, friendships that have carried on well outside of the classroom. Donna and her teaching assistant are wonderful human beings, and it's clear this is a calling for them and not just a job. We're so grateful our kids got to start their education here. If you're looking for a preschool or pre-K where your child will be truly known and cared for, we can't recommend Growing Minds Montessori enough.

Since day 1, Ms. Donna, Ms. Rosalina, and all the families have been so welcoming. During the day, I get photos and videos of his activities, and we get a monthly curriculum to help us follow along. Our first has learned so many practical life skills (like putting on and taking off shoes, jackets, etc) and social-emotional skills. GMMP was essential when we brought home our second child, giving our first a routine, and helping him process becoming a big brother. I'm so grateful for this wonderful community, and can't wait to send our second there when he turns 2.

Stumbled upon Mama Roots on Instagram because they were offering a free mama & baby yoga class for…read moretheir grand opening this past weekend! Our instructor was Sofia, she was great. I had brought my 2 month old and he was asleep in the carrier the whole time other mamas had their babies out on the mat with them. Sofia was very interactive and provided guidance as she saw fit for everyone. She was helpful with modifications since I was baby wearing, but I generally also just followed along as best as I could too. I loved doing yoga before, and I'm so glad I found a space that offers classes like this where I could get intentional movement in with my little one! I wish this space was open earlier when I was pregnant. They were offering a free prenatal yoga class that day too. It was something I was looking for when I was preggers and didn't want to go to a regular yoga studio when I was more obviously pregnant and wanted something more catered to that time in my life. They have a restroom right outside the studio room and a changing table in the studio space too. Mats, blocks, and things were available, but you can bring your own if you prefer! Loved the soft light in the room for the babies. No jarring fleurescent lighting over top. The studio is on the 2nd floor. There is an elevator available, but I think they would prefer you to park your stroller in the clinic downstairs. Michelle, the owner as well as one of the providers at the space is super nice and a matcha loving queen! Will definitely be back for yoga and check out their other services another time!

I had to go to the hospital for a while due to pregnancy complications and they had to accommodate us, which was really kind. It's a great service for new parents.

Our son started attending the school at about a year old and from day one we could see the difference in his behavior. He started coming home and cleaning up after himself, putting toys away, putting on his own coat, etc. He is also extremely happy every day at drop-off which makes me confident that he enjoys his time there. We get lots of updates, photos and videos through the Brightwheel app throughout the day which is also really nice. They spend some time outdoors at playgrounds daily which was really important to me. The school provides uniforms and snacks which makes my mornings easier. Overall we highly highly recommend and could not imagine a better situation for our toddler!

From the beginning with the application process, interview, and acceptance, Provident Montessori has been nothing less than professional and also welcoming, and loving. Communication and updates with photos and videos are great through the Brightwheel app. The pick-up and drop-off is very convenient as well. We have referred many friends to them as we have been so impressed and pleased with the Montessori and both Sudhar and Felicia. Before joining, I had terrible PPD/PPA and rarely left the house. I realized quickly that the moms group was a really warm and safe space with structured conversations. Not only did we get to share our experiences, but Maddy allowed us to go deep on topics that we would otherwise never have the chance to do. Today I still struggle with PPD and PPA but I can certainly say I'm in a much better place today than I was 2 months ago thanks to these sessions. If you can't even respond to a simple request from prospective parent, then I question how you will communicate with parents about their children under your care. Communications between parents and caregivers is KEY during this age, and I am seriously doubting Golden Gate Kids does a good job at that based on my experience. Sharing struggles and joyful moments with other mothers was nice too when it is quite isolating to care for the baby 24/7 at home. The baby loves getting feet and legs massages so I try to do the massages every day. It is 4 star because the space class was held was a little cold and I wasn't really prepared to sit on the hard wood floor that long. Wish there was a note about the seating situation before the class.

Our daughter was at Gwiggles from when she was 18 months old until she graduated to go to…read moreKindergarten. At Gwiggles, the teachers were extremely effective in helping her grow both academically and socially, and we couldn't have asked for a better program for our child to have been in for the last four years! On the academic side, we were regularly informed about how our daughter was progressing in writing and math, and we were constantly asked what our daughter wanted to learn more about. She loved that the children would give input on subjects they were interested in every week -- learning everything from how cheese is made, to the solar system. The teachers did an incredible job nurturing and encouraging her innate curiosity. In addition, the teachers were very attentive to developing her social and emotional skills. For example, she came home informing us about the "peace path" that they used to resolve disputes between classmates, which she then tried to make us use as a family. (Both very sweet and useful.) Even as we have started adjusting to Kindergarten, the teachers have still been available to help us, as they truly got to know our daughter and have had so much advice for us as parents to help guide her when she's gone through some tough spots. Would highly recommend Gwiggles!
