My favorite bar in Lecce, my favorite bar in Italia... possibly the entire world. Saloon Keeper…read morehits all the marks. Atmosphere: Whether enjoying drinks the Italian way, alfresco in the shadows of an ancient cathedral or inside the sultry little den outfitted with antiques and art from the 1920s, Saloon Keeper has atmosphere in droves. You will feel like you've stepped back, to a better time, clearly the intention. Included: a soundtrack that will deepen the experience (old Italian favorites, so popular, they thought ahead and gave a QR code to their Spotify). The sweet little details are extremely impressive, which includes a menu that is more of a magazine with Prohibition-inspired art (my favorite being the "follow the cat" theme that runs throughout, even outside where you see the outline of a black cat on the side of the building). I wanted to buy the menu and frame it and I'm kicking myself now for not seeing if that was possible. Cocktails are also inspired by this era and we loved everything we ordered, my favorite being Lo Spritz del Gatto Nero. In addition to the Prosecco element of a spritz, they use a raspberry tea syrup that is incredibly delicious. They serve a snack (my favorite snack of Puglia, taralli) but there are also very reasonably priced little bowls of snacks (chips, olives) so if you're looking for the perfect girl dinner, you've found just the place. I loved my time here so much, we visited twice in our brief time in Lecce. I daresay a big reason of why I'd return to this enchanting city is this very business.

Great for a professionally crafted cocktail if you need a break from wine, but their wine was good,…read moretoo. Loved the speakeasy and jazz vibe.

I don't know why I think Sushi and a beach club is so strange as obviously fish comes from the sea, but it was a great touch! The other food we tried I would probably have skipped next time (anything not sushi) as it's pretty pricey to start with. Purchasing tickets was a bit confusing, as some of the price goes toward your tab and parking, I didn't end up purchasing so I am still not 100% how it worked, as my friend finalized. We also couldn't hear any music where we were sitting which was a bummer! Walking to the main area/bar was a "no shoes no shirt no service" guideline which was a little strange to me at a beach club- alas the staff was good at enforcing this. Everything was very clean and well kept and we are glad we came but probably would try somewhere else next time as there's a lot of nice beach clubs in the area.

The beach is pristine with the water being super transparent. Going back and thinking of how nice it was to swim here leaves me with a smile on my face. The food is pretty good too; stick with the sushi and fish sandwiches, I would avoid the meatballs or anything else. Reservations online can be hard to come by, but we just ended up showing up and seeing what packages they had available and were able to snag a spot; granted this was after a rainstorm, so who knows if it would have been as accessible if the weather was good the whole time. Overall, if you're looking for a beach club experience where you can get food right to your umbrella; Bahia Porto Cesareo is a good one! Relatively family friendly, although the family friendly area was completely devoid of music, which isn't ideal; would have liked there to have been some sort of music playing (even at a lower volume) to set the vibe.
