My boyfriend and I stayed at Les Cabines sur Mer one night during our trip around the Gaspé coast. It was recommended to us to go for a hike while we were in the area. The trails are well maintained and there were some historic places, like an old general store, to check out along the way. There were also these red chairs we used to take a break and do some whale watching. We walked all the way to the "Land's End" peak of the Gaspe peninsula, there were some piknik tables and a lighthouse shelter to have some lunch before the long walk back. There was also a porcupine chilling out in the clearing area for sure enjoying a snack from people's leftover lunch. On the way back we chose to take the more direct bike path rather then going back on the windy walking path. 30 000 steps later we could almost see our car when we came right up to a baby/teenager bear!! He moved on after a while and we continued to our car, it was so much fun to see all the nature and take a break from all our driving. I would definitely come back one day to try out the other trails. read more
