They make a mean caipirinha and their pizzas are homemade, brick oven-fired plates of deliciousness! The owner was super friendly, too and I liked the crowd there--very into the music which was jazz fusion that night (Jorge Amorim's band). Lapa is a cool neighborhood - edgy, fun, steeped in history, and La Carmelita, close to the arches, is a great spot to spend an evening.
