Just got my 9 ft modern nose rider in foam green, and I am stoked ! It's a beautiful piece of art and I was almost hesitant to put a coat of wax on it. Jared hooked me up with a home delivery and brought a few boards so I could see the difference in designs and shapes. He was able to answer all my questions, and it helped talking to a fellow surfer. I took the board out to Doheny today, and even on a small day with 1-3 ft waves, I had a blast. Was looking for a better "first board" for my daughter now that she's enjoyed renting soft tops and taking lessons. Reached out to Peter via text, got a crazy fast response and had my daughter set up with a 7'6" Mini Log hybrid epoxy bottom soft top in 30 mins at a great price. I bought the Lil Dipper a few years back and it has been my go-to weapon in fighting mush. I also let my beginner friends use it. I picked up the 6'0" orange Groveler about 4 months ago. This thing is a blast! Perfect for summer sessions...floats like a butterfly and stings like a bee. Stringerless epoxy blank with epoxy resin (not ParaLite). Also, carbon/innegra hybrid fiber. Thruster setup with Future boxes. 44L volume. I found Paragon Surfboards online and signed up for their newsletters. One time I won the Rasta modern surfboard from their contest and it was super awesome. It was shipped to me by Alex with no problem. However, I did realize that the board that I won was huge- almost more than half my size. So I reached to Todd, who is the Santa Cruz distributor of Paragon. Todd hooked me up with a smaller board- the mini log, in exchange of the Rasta board. Not only that he hooked me up with the board that would obviously satisfy my needs better, but he also let me choose the color that I want. So my husband and I drove down to Santa Cruz and met with Todd. Really cool guy, very warm and friendly. He even gave me a new shirt!. I can never thank him enough for accommodating me. I have a Hobgoblin and I love to sneak into steep little nuggets at sandy beach breaks on it. I've also gotten to take out a mini-log at Los Gavs in Baja and a mini-Simmons at Santa Ana River Jetties. If I had all three of these boards in a backpack, I could cruise the world and surf almost any break from knee high to double overhead. read more

I bought one of these several years ago and really hope this company has since stopped creating these pieces of junk. The surfboard had a made in china sticker on it when I took it out of its protective foam casing. The worst was I was lied straight to my face about where they were made. At first I didn't believe the price listed for their long boards. Usually lower end brand new 9'0 boards are going for $700 and up. I took the risk and went for the $450 Modern Noserider and was SHOCKED! No joke, this board rides cleaner than any other long board I've ridden before. It can get you into the 2ft summer lols, but it can also hold its own on a 9ft drop (I know cuz i've done it, multiple times on this board). This is the perfect beginner to intermediate long board. I convinced my friend to get their 5'7" weedwacker and we trade off on in and love it!!!! It's a great knee to head-high wave shortboard and has good volume for being relatively small. My next board is gonna be their Mini Simmons 5'4" to maintain nice volume but have something small to carve the medium size waves. Don't be crazy and buy a $1000+ longboard for a name brand, the paragon will take you where you want to go ;) read more

I didn't believe the prices when I first saw the Craig's list ad! Brand new surfboards ranging from $375-$450 with fins included. Huh? A bit skeptical, I still responded to the ad and called Mike. He immediately returned my call and carefully listened to my needs as a surf family. He gave me the complete run down about Paragon surfboards. Checking out the boards, I found them to be quality shapes. The outline was even, rails were symmetrical, and the glassing was solid. These were good template shapes so I decided to give it a try. I bought a 9'0 modern noserider for my husband, a 5'10 retro fish for my 13 year old son, and a 5'6 mini Simmons for my 9 year old daughter, and a 7'8 epoxy mini log for myself. After a few sessions, we all agreed that these were the perfect recommendations for my family and these boards work great! My husband almost bought a board at mollusk for $950 but he's now completely satisfied on the performance of the modern noserider (such a steal at only $440)! My son is flying on his fish and my daughter is finally learning to catch waves all be herself with her mini Simmons. As for myself, I'm cross stepping with my mini log and its so easy to maneuver being epoxy and light. A great product, awesome prices, and friendly customer service from Mike! He even delivered all the boards to our home at no additional charge! We're super stoked on Paragon! read more
