Went with a friend, her husband, and their kids. He's diabetic and his medication makes it near impossible for his body to really heal itself. So, as expected, he has quite a few scabs. None of the open, bleeding, or recent. After paying for the whole family to get it and being there for about 5 minutes a guard walked up to him with his daughters and said he needed to bandage some of them, they weren't doing anything odd. Probably just unpleasant to look at for the other swimmers. He went to the front desk where they told him to get the bandages and they proceeded to tell him he couldn't be in the water. It was 107 degrees out. There was no way the rest of the family could stay, not that we would after that. I spoke to the gentleman who had come to that decision and he seemed almost pleased that I was upset. Which only infuriated me more. But, because we had the children with us and because my friends husband was already upset about what happened, I remained calm. Asked if there was anything he could do, any way to cover up that would make him able to get into the water. Again, happily, the man said nope. So I nodded, but back anger, and told the kids to go get their things. Went to the desk. Really the only good thing I can say is that the drinks were cheap, and when I went to the desk to ask for a refund because of what had happened they didn't argue. I did, however, notice there were quite a few people being "kicked out" at the time. (Quotation marks because while we weren't forced to leave, we didn't really have a choice beyond making him stay out in the heat while we enjoyed a pool with clumps of hair floating in the water.) the kids were sad, but we decided the next day to grill at the pool at my house to make up for the bad water park experience. read more
