This is an older facility but we found it clean, well maintained with very caring and attentive…read morestaff; and only two blocks from my parents home. I guess the first thing I noticed here, above all else, is the Residents are happy. Residents support, encourage rehab and check in on each other, and encourage others to join in on group activities. You hear stories and laughter while their playing bingo or watching TV together. My father spent 6 months here after a life threatening 12 foot fall with complications but recovered and went home. Now after a couple years he's a permanet resident with Alzhemiers. My mother was just admitted on Tuesday. She fell, broke her hip and femur and undergoing rehab here for the next 5-6 months. Another plus, both my parents and family appreciate is 24 hour visitation. As long as you're respectful of the time you can visit at 6:00 am and have breakfast with residents or spend a late night if you or Resident needs. Very accommodating for family and friends with varying schedules. All of the staff, from the Directors, Nurses, CNAs, to housekeeping are very nice to my parents along with all residents I see them interact with. As you walk toward the entrance patients are sitting outdoors on the covered porch enjoying the beautiful rose garden following the front lines of the building. As you enter the building you step into the Common Area with comfortable chairs, a large sofas, several 5 ft. round tables/chairs for residents and families to gather at. My favorite is the monstor size flat screen TV. Large enough everyone in the room can view if they want without sitting on top of others. As you walk in the Nurses Desk is straight ahead. The facility layout resembles a circle with 6 spokes with each spoke being a resident hall with the nurses station being the center spoke. They provide most, if not all, services most residents require. They provide residents transportation to medical appointments if scheduled ahead of time. This is a short or long term rehab facility providing Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy onsite, daily recreational activities, a specialized dietary service along with transportation. I know this is wordy but just one last thing both Dad, Mom and the entire family found beneficial and enjoy daily. Next door is a fairly large, shady green space with a paved walking trail residents and family can use. This was so important to my father since he loves being outdoors. Being paved makes for comfortable walks in his wheel chair with benches along the way for those needing as they build up their stamina. After weeks in the hospital he enjoyed us removing his socks and shoes so he could put his bare feet in the cool grass while enjoying a beverage. We've had several family picnics under one of the big shade trees while the little ones ran off all that stored up energy on the trail. Thanks to all the staff who make Dad's &Mom's stay as comfortable as possible while taking great care of them.

Locking my team out at times and even keeping them in the nursing home as they (the shitty staff) hold the passcodes. Also talk about filthy, just a matter of time before the news pays them a visit. *Wink*

Brought my 88year old mom here for 2 1/2 weeks of rehab physical therapy after knee replacement…read moresurgery. I cannot speak highly enough about the staff and the care they provided! From the facility director to the head nurse to the nurses & aids everyone not only did they do an outstanding job but they ALL built relationships with me, my sister and my mom! We were constantly asked by the directors and nurses how our experience was! I have had experiences with other centers and I can 100% hands down say that this is best facility from Rosenberg to Sugarland! First, I will warn that the decor is, shall we say, outdated.... But don't let that deter you! I would so prefer great attention to my family member than attention to decor. The rooms are set up for double occupancy so more than likely you will have a roommate. The staff is constantly available, many times I walked in and there was either a nurse /aid in her room attending to my mom or sitting right outside her door doing reports. Everyday M-F there are 2 very talented physical & occupational therapists onsite working with patients and my mom's knee recover was swift! The staff also organizes 1 hour of bingo everyday of the week mid afternoon in the dining room & the patients really look forward to it! The food - I was really impressed with the quality of food, even the hamburgers were home made! And a good variety of meals/ sides/ desserts. And after hours/night (at the nurses station) the cook made chicken salad / tuna salad / pimento cheese sandwiches plus a bunch of chips, cookies & bananas for the patients to snack on. The staff also organized my mom transportation to and from follow up doctor visits all I had to do was meet her at the doctors office! I cannot Thank you enough Fort Bend Healthcare Center - you took such good care of my mother!

My Mom had Alzheimer's for the last 5 years of her life. As those that have experience with this…read morehorrible disease you can imagine the emotional pain & helplessness associated with type of situation. We're at the point now that my Husband & I are considered the sandwich generation. We have older children that are not quite on their own yet & aging parents that need assistance sometimes. My Mom was diagnosed with Alzheimer's when she was 75 years old. Each day was different & had different challenges. Some days she was great & others she needed help eating. The care she required was more than my Dad was physically able to administer. We found an adult apartment in Sugar Land for my parents. They both moved in with the belief my Dad would just need to hit a button when he needed help with my Mom. Unfortunately they were only in Landon Ridge for 6 days. My Dad was frustrated with the response time & left the facility after only 4 days. We decided my house was the best option. We brought in several home healthcare providers to evaluate my Mom. They all agreed that Pallative Care was required. I had zero experience with pallative care prior to my Mom. And when the bath aids left us some adult diapers & wet wipes I was ecstatic. Less things for us to buy later. My Dad was never thrilled with the Chaplins that came over and although we were not in denial discussing EOL was not our favorite topic. Discussing funeral arrangements and our faith with strangers was very uncomfortable and I quickly eliminated that part of Mom's treatment. I was getting frustrated because my Mom has a pressure ulcer on her heal & we needed wound care twice a week. I finally called the offices of the provider & asked that a care coordinator come by to discuss our situation. We went through 4 different palliative care providers before finding Fremont. The turnover in the industry is horrible. Just when you get a great nurse or care team, they leave or change companies. When Fremont was recommended I am sorry to say that I literally grilled them. I wanted details about the wound care, the care team, & what would & would not be provided. The Director at Fremont was so thorough & caring. She seemed to really care not just about my Mom but about my Dad & I being happy clients too. They even hired a bath aid we were previously using so we could continue with some kind faces that we were building relationships with. I can honestly say that Fremont took a lot of stress off of a very stressful situation and we highly recommend them. I pray others don't have to go through the bumps we did and just start off with Fremont.

Thorium is the only heavy metal poison that no one has ever successfully eliminated from the body. So I remove pockets of it by surgery... i.e. cysts, abscesses, etc. A golf ball size cyst formed on my back. Thorium burned it's way out and leaked abundantly down my back in clear fluid. Been there and done this five times already and the pathology labs always came back negative. Bacteria cannot survive in radio active Thorium. My doctor took a blood work sample and sent me to a surgeon at Oak Bend, but the surgeon was retired and replaced by Geanna Lobrano. She refused to operate until I did a 5 day course of antibiotics. Long enough for the wound to heal up and close the Cyst sac inside. I even showed her my ICP-MS lab report showing Thorium toxicity off the chart. With an air of superiority she talked about her medical training and still insisted on the antibiotics. I had to go to an emergency room to get the surgery done. My doctor's blood work report came back with low white blood cell count and I never had the slightest fever. Lobrano is either brainless or greedy. Either way she should not be practicing medicine.
