You're rewarded with a beautiful scenic view as you're spending time on a mountain slope over-viewing nature. This is even more apparent since I came here on a beautiful sunny day and even enjoyed myself even when I waited in line to do the rides. Sure, the wait can be 15-20 minutes long but that's part of the game. I simply couldn't help myself and wanted to look at the beautiful horizon as I passed the time. The lobby area consists of a huge ski lodge where you can change and in the winter, keep warm. Yes, this slope is also used to ski. The park itself has about 20 slides of various levels of difficulty. There's traditional attractions like the pool with waves, the lazy river and the such. I really liked "the manic" which is a lazy river for advanced people who get to pushed down stream by waves, sometimes so big you can be tossed into the water. The cascades was also another favorite of mine. There's a big section for small children, so parent/child can keep themselves busy. A few tips : - I would suggest coming during the weekday as it gets quite busy during weekends, it was still quite busy even though we went on a Wednesday. - Buy your tickets online the day before, the money you save it quite notable. - Get some water shoes, walking barefoot for hours on asphalt wasn't the most exciting experience.

Can't say enough for how cool it was. The stunts that the professional instructors do inside of the wind tunnel is phenomenal. - Ease of parking. You're located in a fairly out-of-Montreal area, so there is plenty of free parking. It's right next to a large movie theater, so on Friday/Saturday nights, you might be driving around a little. Not so good: - Cost per minute. It is expensive, especially considering the cheapest package buys you 2 (yes...TWO!) minutes in the wind tunnel. Let's just put it this way - I don't even think Julia Roberts charged Richard Gere this much money per minute. - Safety. My girlfriend's helmet kept slipping in the wind tunnel, and the instructor was not too concerned. Also, the safety briefing is... well brief. We stay at Portage campground (there are 4 campground all together), because it's by far the most wooded and private. The lots are huge, and almost completely closed in. It's difficult to hear anyone else unless they are being very loud, which you're not supposed to do. There is a "no excessive noise at any time" rule in place. The lots are so big that we had room for 3 tents (a 3 person, a 4 person and a 6 person tent) plus a 12 x 12 screen house and two cars. We rented two lots as we were a group of 8 people, and put the picnic table from the other lot on ours and still had plenty of space for everyone to move around, set up outdoor games, and sit, distanced, around the fire. I will only plan camping trips here.

It does the job for a young child, so 5 stars it gets! Well my son visited this place when he was 2 and he's now almost 4 and he loved it even more the second time around! We spent I kid you not a good 5 hours here! This place isn't really a museum. It's not "educational" in the traditional sense although kids can learn by doing all sorts of things. The kids can go inside a fire truck, police car, rocket ship, weird cave, grocery store, school room, pet clinic, airplane, and there's a karaoke stage. Some useful tips here would be to 1) go with 2+ kids unless you want your kid begging you to cram into a rocket ship with him. It's always fun to spend time with your child but your child really wants to play and so you'll need to bring a play buddy. 2) bring snacks and water! They do NOT sell food but if you plan on staying longer than an hour or two, you might as well bring something to eat. They have a couple of sticky (yuck but whatever) picnic tables you can eat at in the front of the venue. Not amazing but gets the job done. Of course, you can always sneak in some food inside the venue but it isn't allowed. 3) Every hour they have a "show" which consists of weird acting done by French teenagers on the boat downstairs. As another yelper said, I could have gone without it. BUT, the icing on the cake is that during this show, everyone congregates downstairs and you get the whole place to yourself :) There's a lot of parking as it's not downtown, it's in Laval. Bathrooms were pretty clean which is a plus. Oh, and I went on a weekday I wouldn't dare go here on a weekend.

Now that's a pretty lofty goal to be honest. So I was looking forward to seeing why it's #1. L O C A T I O N Though folks say this spot is in Montreal, it's not. It's in Laval. It's not a far drive (roughly 30 minutes). We arrived at this large building/warehouse. The sign where the name is isn't where the entrance is and you have to go to the left of it to enter the building. There are signs at the door to tell you where to park. Plenty of parking. I N S I D E You walk in and there are lockers to the right and on the left a coat hanging area which is essential during the winter months. There is a wall of board games on the side and folks inside I believe waiting for their turn or perhaps they're the actors waiting for their next guests to arrive. Lots of areas to sit. There is a large rest room for all sexes. It reminded me a lot of the Star Wars land bathroom in Disneyland. There's a large center sink area and a steam punk like vibe in there. E X P E R I E N C E - M A G N I F I C O We entered and went to the desk. Unfortunately the lockers were all taken but they took our purses and left them behind the counter and we hung our jackets on the coat rack. We paid for the experience which is definitely one or the more expensive escape rooms per person (Roughly $190 CAD which included tax). This specific experience is 2.5 hours long and it did take us the whole 2.5 hours as it's meant to take up all that time. After a few minutes or so we were handed a ticket to join the circus and also asked if we wanted the experience in French or English. I think for the sake of us getting through puzzles, English was best. Then we were told of what we can or cannot do and also letting us know not to laugh at the actors. I guess it's happened enough that folks need to be told to be respectful of people. Then off we went. I won't spoil what happens but here are my thoughts on the whole experience. Do I think it should be #1? I don't know. Do I qualify this to be a escape room? I wouldn't. I would say it's more an interactive experience with fairly straight forward puzzles with a linear storyline. The Good Parts: + Very immersive + Easy to follow storyline and puzzles + Help was given freely + Lots of activity The Not So Good Parts: + Not really an escape room + Not really on a time crunch + Puzzles are straight forward + Hints are pushed on you relatively quickly, if you're taking too long or going down the wrong path + No way to "lose" or "fail" + Not so great for folks who cannot climb steep stairs + One of the puzzles isn't really accommodating to tall people and folks wearing big boots O V E R A L L I think as an immersive puzzler experience it's quite a memorable one but you will absolutely take all 2.5 hours. I thought oh, that should be the max time....nope. We breezed through some puzzles. Maybe 2 or 3 were a little more time intensive or we were going in the wrong direction but it's due to the story that it does take that long. The hints were really pushed on you. You'll notice lights flashing or straight forward a voice from afar saying, it's not that, don't focus on it. In terms of puzzles, they weren't super challenging especially if you've done other escape rooms. There's no sense of "escaping" anything or a time limit. So that was a little bit disappointing. There's no way you can fail in this experience. If you can't solve it, they will give you the solution to move the story along. Was it worth the price? I think if you consider it like a musical or play and most tickets are roughly that in good seats, then you're basically front and center in the whole action and doing some puzzles, then maybe? Did I think it was the best in the world? I think as an immersive experience, it was definitely impressive but in terms of difficulty of puzzles, not so much though some puzzles were creative in making use of the space you were in. It's hard to recommend, but overall, it was a good time. Just not really the escape room experience I was expecting.

The 2.5-hour runtime flies by. It's a huge, spectacular adventure where the actors are truly phenomenal--their passion for their craft elevates the entire experience to a new level. Game Lengths: The standard rooms are a satisfying 75 minutes long, giving you plenty of time to explore the huge environments and complete the challenges.
