A great choice to try Venezuelan cuisine other than Mexican when visiting MXCD. Outstanding…read moreVenezuelan food, very nice service and ambiance, and reasonable prices I totally recommend this place, I tried empanadas (which are huge!) and cachapas, passion fruit juice and coffee, everything very good! This is an exceptional restaurant. They specialize in seafood. Everything is fresh and delicious…read more The service here is first class. Servers are attentive, friendly, knowledgeable about the menu and make excellent suggestions. If you are looking for the best of CDMX cuisine then look no further than Contramar. Double highly recommend.
We made a reservation for 1pm on à Sunday. You must make them an advance. Not sure what the wait…read moretime would be but it was already packed when we arrived. Very busy restaurant and located in a very lovely area. The staff was amazing and in sync. We started with some cocktails - the guava mezcalita and jamaica mezcalita and also the chardonnay that was very tasty. Here's what we had: -Tostadas de atun(tuna tostadas)- must get -Ensalada de Pulpo con patatas tibias con albhaca(octopus with potatoes and basil) - octopus wasn't very good and there was no flavor -Pescado à la talla Contramar(grilled whole fish with salsas on top)I would only get the one with just the red sauce, the green sauce didn't have a lot of flavor. This is very filling and enough for 4 people -Tacos de Pescado estilo Ensenada(fried fish tacos) - these were ok The dessert, though!! This is what the extra star is for - The Meringue with Fresas(meringue cake with strawberries)- OMG soooo good. Even after how incredibly full we were, we could not stop eating this. Delicious and so unique but with the classic flavor of strawberries and whipped cream. Don't forget to add a carajillo! À delicious coffee drink with coffee liqueur.

Another epic taco spot to add on your list of places to eat at in CDMX in the Condesa neighborhood…read more When we went they were only doing pork tacos which were phenomenal. They have a wonderful salsas bar in the back that has jalapeños, onions, green and red salsas and limes. Tips: they accept credit cards, outdoor seating, birria tacos on weekends only. This is a great place to get food and nearby the museums, botanical garden, Parque Espana and Parque Mexico.
It was on the Pujol recommendation list…read more We tried 2 - Lengua and Pork Rib I think. It was fine. Maybe should have ordered the cheesey one? They just chopped up the meat and serve, so the tacos were warm, would have been much better if they were heated.
