He gave a personal tasting assortment of cheeses and select cuts. He also helped prepare a personal picnic selection. If you're looking for Iberica ham to get your party started, you need to stop by. It is near the ballfighting stadium. Also offers tapas tasting tours.

Ellio (like Elliot, but without the 'T') and his wife have put their heart and soul into this shop and it shows. Being world travelers themselves, they understand visitors' needs and give suggestions accordingly and even wrap purchased items to ensure their safe conveyance home. What will you find here? Only the best jams, cheeses, honeys, specialty canned fish, jamon, spices (like famous Spanish paprika and saffron), olive oil, and wines within 200km of Seville. All local, specialty goods from tiny, family-owned companies. I know because I checked several shops and grocery stores and I did not see similar products. Ellio was generous enough to set up tastings of sherries, wine, cheeses, and spices. We bought so much excellent stuff (like this naturally spicy and smoky Spanish paprika I cant wait to give to my brother in law to use for good ol' Texas brisket), I really don't know how we will get it all home. We may just end up buying another small luggage. It may sound crazy, but that's how good the stuff is. Once Ellio understands your likes and dislikes a little more, he can make tailored suggestions. And these recommendations are usually spot on. The guy knows flavors, good food and drink, and can relate to customer needs. A few years ago, a customer visited his shop and asked for Ellio's suggestions for cooking an East Asian style duck. Ellio recommended Seville bitter orange preserves. Well, it turned out to be a hit because the customer, who took a video of his experience and put it on YouTube, was a food critic who extolled the virtues of the Seville bitter orange preserves with duck on a South Korean cooking show. Over the last two years, so many Korean tourists have visited this shop, that when Ellio tried re-arranging the shelves, the customers were thrown for a loop. So Ellio returned the preserves to their original corner and labeled the shelf in Korean. What a story! I am sure Ellio and his wife's fame will grow as they continue to sell some of the finest products from around Seville to consumers at excellent prices. True value, not outrageous prices for "luxury goods," is what they are all about. God bless them. I will definitely return. Meanwhile, I can't help thinking that Ellio seems like he would be a great guy to have a beer with.

Not just a "cheese shop" but agritourism too!…read more Off a busy main road, just outside Rota proper, there is a dirt road that takes you right to El Bucarito. Their cheese is all goat product, some pasteurized, some not, some aged, some not. Their store also has a selection of local honeys, and other preserves, and their own homemade chorizos. They have quite a selection, and sophisticated operation, for a local artisan farm. They also offer pre-booked tours, for groups of 10 or more (16,5€ pp), or, if you want a private tour for fewer people, it is more expensive (we were quoted 37.5€ pp, for two). Make sure to ask for a tour given in English, if needed (I emailed Yolanda ahead at quesos@elbucarito.es). The tour shows you how the cheese is made, AND you each get to make your own. Additionally, you get to tour their organic site (with didactic video), meet the farm animals (milk goats, observe pigs/donkeys/horses). There is even a visit to their aviarium, where you can fly their birds of prey. At the end, they provide tapas from all their own cheese/meat products. Unfortunately, our day took longer to progress than anticipated, so we had to skip the tour, but I'd love to go back when I have more time and do it. Looks great for kids! You certainly can visit just the store, if you want. They provide samples, upon request, in the store. Prices are reasonable, and for the quality, they are a good deal. Their cheese is amazing. I have had quite a few cheeses in my travels, homestays, and visits with local European friends, in France and Spain, and these were right up there with some of my most memorable tastes. The flavors and textures they capture through technique, are so varied and unique, it is hard to believe they come from all the same goats herding outside the store. HOURS: Summer -- Mon-Sat 9am-8pm, Sun 9am-3pm (same in winter, except they close at 7pm on M-S)

Did I mention the meat section? This place is a carnivores delight with a cured meat selection that took me two photos to capture and post on Yelp. The most incongruous site for me was the amount of Jamón ibérico hanging from a coat rack contraption. It kind of looks like some crazy Halloween costume. Anyway, just in case you need some it's available here. The people that work here are super friendly and very helpful. The produce guy recommended a few local items and weighed them for my wife...yeah he was FRIENDLY, in that Spanish machismo kind of way. I recommend you attempt a bit of Spanish and you'll win them over. The store is very hard to find even though it's on a main street in central Fuengirola. The GPS, with a charming British accent, had no clue how to get us there. There are few windows facing the main road and where there should be windows there is a grey marble wall. Be patient with all the roundabouts and pedestrians in this part of town and go slow. Parking is on the street but there is a secret parking lot supposedly that is free if you spend at least 6€ at the store. Prices are fair to cheap for the quality you get. We were able to find some delicious produce and we did buy plenty of cured meats. Great experience at the Supercor.
