Going through secutiry, of which there are 6 stands, the staff have always been polite and the queues have always moved fast. Right opposite security is a duty free shop and gates 1-4. Gates 5-6 are upstairs with more seating and another coffee shop. There are clean toilets in all areas, including the processing area as you wait to go thorugh secutiry as you arrive in Memmingen. The airport itself is rather small, but has lots of natural light coming in, and because its small, you can very easily find what you need. The town of Memmingen can be reached by bus or taxi. A taxi on a monday afternoon cost about 10 euros.

We paid 400€ (do the US conversion) for a party gown. We also paid 100€ for my daughter's athletic shoes (which didn't last six months anyway). If you have access to the military base, you can always find better prices on clothing and shoes there. But, they don't always have the size (or style) you need so you end up overpaying at the mall if you're in a pinch. The atmosphere is very pleasant here.
