Nice little pizza place that sells pizza pieces by the weight, rather than pricing it by piece…read more
The pizzas, it should be noted, is the "al taglia" variety (as is also stated in the name of the place). That means that they are not the typical round ones, but rather square, tray-baked pizzas, which are then cut into square pieces. You pick how ever many you like of each, they weigh it, and you pay accordingly.
This is a very common type of pizza in Italy, but I'm not a huge fan, I like the round, thin-crusted ones that are baked right on the hot stones of a pizza oven better. And these in particular have a crust that is just a touch too thick, and thus soft and doughy, for my preference.
That being said, it is actually quite good pizza, especially as a quick snack, or as a late-night dinner. I can in particularly recommend the Margherita, the potato and cheese one, and the eggplant and pecorino.
