This place is in the middle of the old San Juan. You get hookah Shisha in this place as well as some good cocktails. The server is really nice person. She was helping us in all the menu and other things. They are really nice people. They bring your food as soon as it is ready, you can make changes to your food as well. If you don't like something they'll make sure they change it for you really nice store and place. Make sure you go visit them. They have amazing kebabs as well as some Indian food and Persian food. After printing out receipts - one mojito was 10 while another was 19 (didn't request any specific alcohol for either) Got charged a $2 fee for "Togo" when I didn't take anything to go, that was the "review for free shot" fee apparently. When in Puerto Rico this place is a must! I find it difficult to find a good hookah lounge when traveling but Pani Agua did not disappoint. Staff was super friendly & offered multiple drink suggestions as well. I went with a coconut mojito & it was great! Visiting form nyc. And looked up this spot that has all these great reviews and I was leary because its also a hookah bar. And im sorry hookah is not my thing. But on to the important part the food. We started off with some very tasty mojitos ,mango habinor and a passion fruit. The drinks delicious. Not super strong but so very good in flavor. We ordered the rib eye skewers with a side of tostones and bacalaloitos ( codfish fritters) and to end it an empanada of guava and queso The rib eye so tender so flavorful. Just perfection. The tostones perfectly fried and the empanada were not this giant peice of dough with no filling. This was generously packed with guava and cheese. Delicious if you're looking for something sweet. Now the bacalaloitos ( cod fish fritters) were like these neat little chips not your classic bacaloitos. They were flavorful but lacked the texture of a real bacaloitos. . The places decor was very basic. It lacked charm. They had some tables with colorful metal chairs. The one staff member there was very attentive friendly as all my fellow puertoricans are. I took off one star for the bacalaloitos and the place isn't much to look at but the majority of the food was amazing. I would definitely recommend this place again. As you can see for yourselves the owner also leaves rather aggressive comments on unfavorable reviews. For added context on her comments so you can make your own decision whether to come here: None of us initially entered this restaurant with food from another location. After reviewing the menu, one friend decided she would prefer a sandwich from the stand outside so she went to get one, fully intending to not eat in this restaurant because we know it is disrespectful. However, this same friend was also considering buying a drink and she had asked the staff/owner if she ordered a drink if it would be ok for her to eat her sandwich also. Rather than politely saying "no we would prefer you to not do that" they responded in a rude tone and demeanor. (Similar to how the responses are to these reviews, probably same person) The waitress who was not the owner was decent. She wasn't rude. Also regarding the owner's comment that we were "upset when we came in". Thinking back the only thing we were likely upset about is that there were not many options available that were serving food at that time, which is external to the situation. Such a gem! We were waiting for a food tour in the square and decided to grab a cocktail before it started and what a surprise! The mojitos come in a variety of flavors and Chris ( super handsome bar manager) made one after another and each was better than the next.
