It is not located on the beach, but it's in the center of the resort. You have three Henann hotels here's side by side. The service here at At Henann Alona, I think, is much better than any of the Henanns that I've stayed at in Boracay. The main negative here is that if you stayed at Henann before, you know they have some of the worst non-HD flat screen TV's of any major hotel chain in the Philippines. Also, the lighting in the bathroom is in need of more brightness at the mirrors, especially if you need to be looking at yourself shaving. Other than that, I think having a mini pool I didn't have to share was a plus.

I didn't want to do any sight seeing in Bohol. I never wanted to leave but we were visiting and should do some touristy things. The pool was gorgeous. Not that many villas were booked so it was nice. Felt like we were the only ones there. I knew it was a fancy place but after being picked up I was surprised to see the staff waiting at the front with leis. Such an amazing warm welcome! Yes I don't know how to act in such a fancy place. It was such a nice treat. During the entire stay in Eskaya, every staff would stop what they are doing while we walk by to greet us a friendly "hello" and "good morning." So friendly! Our first night we had an amazing night eating on the beach! It was so beautiful. They also had a quartet of guitar players singing us fun songs and my aunts got up to dance. Breakfast was included so we ate a delicious meal every morning. Everything in the restaurant was so good! I loved swimming and getting a fresh mango or watermelon shake everytime. My aunt loved getting the fresh buko juice. I had an amazing time in Bohol and a wonderful stay at Eskaya. 5 star stay and 5 star experience!

We arrived from Cebu to Tagbilaran via a ferry. The resort picked us up with no issue - - they had…read morea sign. They have a couple of guards at the front gate, so you feel safe right away. (BTY: They have Security at the beach area to keep those who are not guests from coming onto the property.) Check-in was smooth. We even setup a tour on Bohol for the following day. It's a beautiful property. A lot of coconut & palm trees, but not so many that they distract from the beauty of the place. The staff is so helpful & polite. There are only 4 issues that came up: 1. I use a CPAP machine for sleep apnea & need a electrical outlet to use it. There were none near the bed. We even had maintenance come and look. Sleep 3 nights without it. I can live with this. 2. The WiFi is a challenge - - but we're here on vacation. I can live with this. 3. The have a nice white beach. I would hope that they clean it a bit more because there are some areas on their part of the beach that could use attention. But it's still a real nice beach. I can live with this. 4. This is a biggie - - we're surrounded by water & fishing is a major way of life in the Philippines. Why is there not fresh at the restaurant every night? We asked if they had grilled Lapu-Lapu & were told that they don't have fresh fish. We've been to numerous beaches (Boracay, Batangas, Subic, Bataan) in the Islands and never had an issue getting fresh fish, squid, shrimp, or mussels right on the beach!!! So why can't they get fresh fish? I'm not sure where the market is, but Tagbilaran is only about a 30 minute ride. It also seems as if their fried calamari is frozen because of the way the batter on the calamari was. I think the restaurant could do better and they did!!! On our third night, the restaurant had Lapu-Lapu swimming in the fish tank - - YES!!! We asked for it to be grilled - - BINGO. The fish was cooked perfectly - - the best meal we had on Panglao!!! We have nothing but compliments for breakfast. Salad/fruits are great. Plenty of cereals and breads. First time ever having chicken tocino - - real enjoyable. Eggs to order station. My two favorites were the camote turon (sweet potato fried in a wrapper), cassava cake, & biko (what my Grandfather from Aklan called sticky rice). The cassava cake is nice and sweet - - man, it's good. Restaurant top performers: Yoj & Irene (dinner servers). Both are sweethearts & my wife loved them. Both typical girls from the province - - hard working & humble. I still remember Yoj trying to explain to us, on our first night, why they don't have fresh fish when we're surrounded by water - - "We don't have, Sir." Despite my concerns with fresh seafood, this is a great place to stay - - quiet and relaxing. Massages are comfortable & affordable, too!!! I don't give often - - Bohol Beach Club is so enjoyable it almost is. Enjoy.

Bohol Beach Club was the third resort I stayed at during my Philippines trip, and this spot is completely gorgeous. From the white sand on the beach to the crystal blue water and the tall palm trees, this is true paradise. I really enjoyed staying here. Being so close to the picturesque beach was wonderful. It truly felt like a vacation with the fresh air and ocean breeze. The resort room was spacious and comfortable, and I loved how it was conveniently located near the beach and the resort's restaurant. The resort's restaurant was great as well! They offer an awesome complimentary breakfast buffet featuring rotating Filipino favorites like pancit, longanisa and adobo. For lunch and dinner, there is sit down service with a menu that had various Filipino dishes, along with other Asian and Western entrees. I absolutely loved that they featured native cuisine and drinks. One of the waiters even offered me a complimentary native hot chocolate and I also got to try an ube tart made of Bohol's famous kinampay. On the weekends, the resort's restaurant host acoustic sessions right in front of the beach. Enjoying live singing while having a delicious dinner was such a lovely touch. Last but not least, customer service here was excellent. One day, it started raining and one of the resort employees noticed us without an umbrella and trying to take cover under a building. He personally ran over and gave us an umbrella to borrow. I truly appreciated his kindness. If I ever find myself in Bohol again, I would definitely choose Bohol Beach Club to stay at. The facility is well kept, updated, and clean. The Saffron Restaurant offers good food which we got to try throughout our stay. Some items on the menu are meh and some were good. Located in a gated area with multiple levels of security, it was quiet and peaceful. We stayed during ESEAN, and even with extra events going on, the place was incredibly relaxing. Our room had its own pool. It 2as shared with 3 other rooms, but pretty much private and open 24 hrs. The room was spacious, clean and had everything we needed. A refillable water station was right outside our door. The food here is delicious. Breakfast was included with our stay and had so much variety. We ate seven meals on site and enjoyed it all. The grounds were fantastic! A big pool that never felt crowded, a couple restaurants, pool bar/restaurant, nightly welcome show, and more. A quick 5 minute tuktuk into town to enjoy an evening out was easy and convenient. I would definitely stay here again.

We were a group of 10, My Aunt, two cousins, my cousin's girl friend, My mom, my sister, my brother, my brother's fiancé, and my daughter and I. Despite our age gaps, we all enjoyed our time here! The ENTIRE staff was very welcoming and friendly! Our rooms were GORGEOUS... especially our bathroom which was partly outdoors. We had a beautiful tub and a rainforest shower head next to it. I LOOOOVE that they had a pool right in front of our room (and the bar) and that it was open late! After our adventure throughout Bohol, we had 4 hours until dinner (which was also at the resort). There were chairs between the pool and the bar so we left our stuff there while we played in the (huge) pool and went back to get snacks and drinks. For people who don't drink alcohol, their watermelon and mango shakes were AMAZING. Definitely a must have to sip on while sitting pool side. The snacks are also pretty good as well! We finally got to try qwek-qwek and we LOVED IT! What I loved about the pool was the middle section. There's a bridge that leads from one side of the resort to the other and in the middle of the bridge it leads down to the middle of the pool where they have chairs to it on (the water for this section goes above the ankle. My mom and aunt got to sit there and gossip while the rest of us were playing around in the pool with my daughter. We had Dinner and breakfast there and both were amazing. We didn't have enough time to get massages or check out the beach part of the resort. 10/10 would recommend staying here! I am definitely coming back next time I'm in Bohol!

Drawback is that there is no soft Sandy beach, they have this beach area where you can get on the kayak waterboard but because of the sand and the tide you can't use it for sun tanning but they have lots of chairs and pools for you. We spent our time in the pools and had a great day. The room is VERY NICE. Love the floating beds, first time ever seeing it. There is natural light coming into bathroom and rock floor shower and jacuzzi bath tube. I always go for a bubble bath when they have this in the hotel rooms. Also great desk for office work. As for the team building they served us a lot of meals and food, had a great room to facilitate our team building exercises. Thank you! Everyone really enjoyed it! Hotel has a gate (w/guard) but you can easily walk out and find local laundry services (other than what is offered at the hotel). There's also a small shopping center that is walking distance with a few restaurants and shops. Staff and service were fantastic as everyone is super friendly and they almost seem to go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and are enjoying your stay. The infinity pool is fantastic (for kids and adults)..... nice to also have the beach option but this part of the island is more remote... as the other reviews state, you can find better beaches at other resorts, but here it is more quiet and family oriented. Breakfast Buffet was superb with a rotation of offerings for vegetarians and omnivores alike. Special request items (eggs cooked to order, etc.) are just an ask away.

The Bar/restaurant, poolside, serves no meals and breakfast which is not included in the price, I found it expensive and scarce. Hotel staff is friendly and helpful, but you would always expect from a hotel. As for the room, it is spacious with a medium sized bathroom
